http://www.romanlife-romeitaly.com St. John Lateran is the oldest Basilica of the western world built in 314 by Costantino. Since then, the Cathedral suffered a lot of damages due to fires, hearthquakes and lootings. Everytime it was rebuilt trying to preserve its original glory.
