Sunderland children go green by building an electric racing car with an important message about litter

Children at Fulwell Junior School have built an electric racing car for an upcoming regional race.

00:42 and tin foil that can't be recycled naturally. So if we lay out on the environment, it will

00:50 like make the environment unsafe for animals because it can't be like discomposed. So we've

01:00 used these materials in a different way, which can protect the environment. And is the key

01:05 message to avoid wasting these sort of materials? Yeah. I understand you're going to be a driver

01:38 year we won quite a lot. So I think this year we might also win quite a lot. I understand

01:45 the car's an electric car, so what's the key message then about energy? Don't be a little

01:52 bug. So on the car you wouldn't be able to reuse the plastic. So we're deciding that

02:02 we're going to put all of that on the car. What about the energy side of things? What

02:06 are you going to say? So with energy wise, we've been using batteries and while we're

02:15 doing it, it's a motor inside which makes it run. Is it a clean form of energy? Yes,
