00:00So, James, looking back at the footballing season as a whole, obviously four Welsh clubs
00:06representing in the English Football League in Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and Wrexham.
00:12Obviously, quite varying seasons, especially Wrexham with their fantastic promotion. Let's
00:18go through, let's rate them out of 10. Let's start with Wrexham, we may as well. A fantastic
00:24story and it just keeps on almost getting better for them.
00:29Oh yeah, the story is just going to keep going. You've got to believe that this is the second
00:34or so chapter of a long book here for Wrexham moving forward. Fans from the other teams,
00:41they were like, oh, it's not going to happen. They're not going to do this now. They've
00:44made it up to the non-league. Anyone could do that. Now you're in the league, it's the
00:51proper stuff happens. But they've proved people wrong and they went for it. Didn't win the
00:55league. There were other teams there who were just consistent all year, who just didn't
01:01look like not winning the league. It was just always going to be strong for them, but they
01:05kept in it. They knew what they needed to do. Long may this story continue because Wrexham
01:11in League One, they haven't been there for decades. It's so exciting. Amazing. You've
01:17got to say out of 10 for the season, they didn't win the league and they wanted to win
01:21the league. So maybe a nine and a half because they did everything except win the league.
01:26Staying in the league with Newport, very much down the bottom, obviously avoiding relegation,
01:35but their run from the 23rd of March to the 27th of April, all losses. It doesn't look
01:42amazing for them. How would you summarise their season as a whole? Obviously, managing
01:46to stay in the division after some poor form is at least something to work on for next season.
01:53Newport have always been quite resolute and they've been in League Two for a good few years
01:58now. They're one of the longest stays in League Two. They're always looking at mid-table,
02:04trying to challenge maybe the top to get into the playoffs. And they looked like they were
02:09staying somewhere mid-table, comfortable enough all through. What do you say about a run like
02:15that? I think it was eight losses in a row to end the season. Fans would have been absolutely
02:21cursing from doing that. No one wants to see that happen to their club. Eight losses at any point in
02:29the season in a row is ridiculous. But to end the season like that, it was a shambles for Newport.
02:35Things are going to change there in the club for next year. You've got to think that something's
02:39going to have to, you know, whatever happened at the end can't happen again. And, you know,
02:45you give their season a middle-of-the-road five or six for the year and then to lose it like that,
02:51you can't give them more than like a three out of ten for that season.
02:55What looked promising enough just crumbles by the end.
