Donald Trump's former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, resumed testifying against Trump at his criminal trial in New York over alleged hush money payments made during the 2016 presidential election. Michael Cohen testified that he paid Stormy Daniels $130,000 to silence her about an alleged affair with Trump under Trump's direction and later received reimbursement from him. Cohen also testified about another payment arranged by The National Enquirer's publisher to a Playboy model, Karen McDougal, to purchase her story about an alleged affair with Trump. Trump is accused of falsifying business records by claiming the reimbursements to Cohen were for legal services rather than hush money payments.
