00:00We have given Ukraine what is needed to survive, but not to win.
00:06So what we do need now is to step up our support for Ukraine.
00:14We should lift all self-imposed restrictions on our weapon deliveries.
00:21The Ukrainians should have all the long-range missiles they need,
00:27all the heavy battle tanks, fighter jets, everything they need.
00:33Then I'm optimistic they will also have a chance to push back the Russians.
00:39But due to our hesitation, our lengthy discussions on the delivery of Leopold II tanks,
00:46on long-range missiles, Putin has fortified his defences in eastern Ukraine
00:53and made the Ukrainian offensive more difficult and more bloody.
00:58So we have ourselves to blame for the failure to actually push back the Russians.
01:07We have to step up.
01:09One of the steps could be to help the Ukrainians protect their airspace
01:15against incoming Russian missiles and drones.
01:19We saw in Israel how Israel, together with its allies and partners,
01:25was able to protect the Israelis against Iranian missiles and drones.
01:32We could do exactly the same for Ukraine.
01:35I think we need to combine or to connect the NATO air and missile defence system
01:46with the Ukrainian system.
01:48So, placed on NATO territory, neighbouring Ukraine,
01:55you could actually help the Ukrainians protect Ukrainian territory
02:01against Russian missile and drone attacks.
02:07Without deploying troops on Ukrainian soil,
02:11we could make the overall defence of Ukraine much more effective.
