England boss Gareth Southgate insists his focus remains on this summer's Euro championships amid speculation he will be the next Manchester United manager. The 53-year-old will lead England at Euro 2024 in Germany in what could be his fourth and final tournament in charge of the national team. "I've got one thing to focus on and that's having as successful a tournament with England as possible and everything outside of that is a complete irrelevance to me," he said. Report by Kennedyl. 00:00 I'm not a big gambling man but bookies, yeah, they can make their odds but it's not conversations
00:08 that's been had with me. I've got one thing to focus on and that's having a successful
00:15 tournament with England as possible and everything else outside of that is a complete irrelevance
00:20 for me. In some areas of the pitch at the moment we've got quite extensive injuries
00:29 so players that haven't played for a while but would be very important to the squad.
00:34 And in other areas of the pitch we've got a lot more depth and form is going to be more
00:39 important so it's difficult when you're picking a team and a squad at national level
00:47 to have a really precise criteria and to be able to stick with it because it's the depth
00:53 of talent in certain positions. We have more certainly in the attacking areas playing regularly
01:00 in the Premier League than perhaps we do in goal at the moment or at the back.
