00:00 [SPLASHING]
00:01 Turn it left and punch it again.
00:04 Nice!
00:05 My left!
00:06 We got the same left, Colin!
00:07 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:10 We've had the opportunity to really invite
00:13 some terrific and phenomenal actors.
00:15 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:17 Steve Ulrich is just a wonderful human being
00:19 and a great actor.
00:20 So it's been great to find the synchronicity and the rhythm
00:23 to work with such a great actor.
00:25 God damn, Colin.
00:27 Well, we should see the other guy.
00:29 He's incredibly powerful, incredibly intense,
00:32 and incredibly intelligent, emotionally and mentally.
00:35 And he brings all aspects of himself to a character.
00:38 Wow, that's comforting.
00:40 I felt like he was a lot of base for the story.
00:42 And I felt like Colin was kind of the staccato
00:45 in the background.
00:46 And these two different voices, to hear them come together
00:49 and now it's just music.
00:51 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:55 It's been great to have our actors who
00:57 are from another country.
00:59 Abani Buli, who plays Shemiso Tongai,
01:02 is from Cape Town, South Africa.
01:03 And she brings such a very interesting attitude
01:07 to what she does.
01:08 Zachary Moma brings a different kind of grace and intelligence
01:13 to his portrayal of Shepard Tongai.
01:15 We're no longer strangers.
01:17 Great.
01:18 Ivan, who is from Atlanta, but is
01:20 a wonderful Tongai villain.
01:23 Paula Malcolmson, who's done some wonderful work
01:25 in her career, is with us playing Rose.
01:28 And the exceptional and amazing Erica Himmel
01:31 plays Michaela, Gracien's daughter.
01:34 And we have such a wonderful chemistry.
01:37 Check this out.
01:38 Boom.
01:39 [HUMMING]
01:40 Get ready, get ready, get ready.
01:42 Yeah, you clearly don't know what you're doing, so.
01:45 So it's been great to work with such a very dynamic cast.
01:48 Everybody's so talented and brings
01:50 such a different aspect to it.
01:52 I think it's interesting that we are in New Orleans,
01:55 because I feel like there's this sort of elements
01:57 of jazz in our performances.
01:59 The energy of the city that really
02:01 lends so much to what we're doing.
02:03 And I don't know, it is alive in its own way.
02:06 I think we really rely on it.
02:08 The exciting feeling of working in New Orleans,
02:11 the way New Orleans smells, the way it looks,
02:13 the way the foliage is, the way the trees are,
02:15 live music wherever you go, Frenchman Street, Bourbon Street.
02:17 It's everywhere.
02:18 That energy permeates and articulates
02:22 and enhances what our show is really about.
02:26 We love being in New Orleans.
