00:00:00 I'm not going to tell him to follow Max.
00:00:02 I'm going to actually say Max is so crazy in love with you
00:00:06 that he has a can of soup that he refuses to eat because your face is on it.
00:00:10 Yeah.
00:00:11 That's probably better, right?
00:00:12 Our producer Max wears your face on his shirt like 90% of the days.
00:00:17 And kind of on his own face.
00:00:18 Yeah.
00:00:19 I just want, yeah.
00:00:21 Yes.
00:00:22 He wants to be you.
00:00:23 That is correct.

00:00:40 Oh, I love it.
00:00:41 Great accent.
00:00:42 Good South Tech.
00:00:43 We should have asked him about Galveston.
00:00:44 Yeah.
00:00:45 Get a feud going between him and Chuck.
00:00:46 Just throwing dogs around there.
00:00:48 Great interview with him.

00:01:59 I had to pick and I picked over points.

00:03:22 Today is Friday, May 10th.
00:03:26 Hank dank, dank, Dan K. What's up?
00:03:31 What's up?
00:03:32 What's up, Henry?
00:03:33 Just had a quick question for you, Hank.
00:03:35 What's up?
00:03:36 The Boston Celtics lost tonight.
00:03:37 They're now down one point in the series.
00:03:39 No, they're up one.
00:03:40 Oh, excuse me.
00:03:41 The, the Cavaliers are down.
00:03:42 The Celtics are up one point in the series.
00:03:45 The Cavaliers only won by 24, so that's good.
00:03:51 People asking questions about the Celtics.
00:03:52 It's just one game.
00:03:54 It's just one game.
00:03:55 It's a long series.
00:03:56 It's just getting to it.
00:03:57 Let them get to it.
00:03:58 It's called prefacing your question with giving you all the facts.
00:04:01 So I'm not giving you anything out of context.
00:04:03 Okay.
00:04:04 So some people will say it's just one game.
00:04:05 There are other people that will say, Hank, the Boston Celtics, when you look at their
00:04:10 record against the best teams in the NBA this year, could be known as maybe a cupcake merchant.
00:04:18 Maybe they beat up a lot of bad teams in the East.
00:04:20 Maybe they have a sub 500 record against the top six teams besides the Boston Celtics.
00:04:26 I don't believe those people, but they are saying things like that.
00:04:29 They're saying things like Jason Tatum, not a great shooter, and he seems to love the
00:04:33 ball in his hands.
00:04:34 Seems to love taking shots.
00:04:37 What would you say to those two camps of people out there?
00:04:39 Good question.
00:04:40 So what's the question?
00:04:41 What would you say to those two camps of people?
00:04:42 What would you say?
00:04:44 What would you say?
00:04:45 You weren't even listening.
00:04:46 We had the best record in the NBA.
00:04:47 We're the number one seed in the entire playoffs.
00:04:50 We've lost two playoff games and we're in a good spot.
00:04:54 Okay.
00:04:55 I think they're wrong.
00:04:56 I think Jason Tatum just gets picked on.
00:04:59 He's had nothing but success in his NBA career.
00:05:01 He hasn't won a championship, but he's still-
00:05:03 That's a wild one second you just put out there.
00:05:07 What?
00:05:08 He's a winner that he's had a lot of success.
00:05:09 I mean, you rooted for fucking Alex Ovechkin for his entire career.
00:05:12 Would you say the same thing?
00:05:13 No, no.
00:05:14 I did not say that he was a winner before he won the Stanley Cup.
00:05:17 I didn't say that.
00:05:18 I said he's had an extremely successful career and people just try and shoot him down.
00:05:22 No, I think you said he's won- He's had a successful beginning of his career.
00:05:26 Nothing but success was the quote.
00:05:27 Nothing but success.
00:05:28 That's just not true.
00:05:30 I would have never said that about Alex before he won the Stanley Cup.
00:05:34 Interesting.
00:05:35 I don't know if that's true.
00:05:37 He wasn't as successful as Tatum was, but they lost one game.
00:05:41 It's the playoffs.
00:05:42 It's one game.
00:05:43 It's the playoffs.
00:05:44 It's the playoffs.
00:05:45 I'm not going to let it get me down.
00:05:46 No.
00:05:47 You guys are going to fucking kill the Cavs in game three.
00:05:48 Probably.
00:05:49 Bruins and Celtics 0-8 in game twos in their last eight game twos.
00:05:52 Is that a fact?
00:05:53 It's not a game two town.
00:05:54 Not a game two town.
00:05:55 0-8 in game twos.
00:05:56 14 and 14 at home in the last three seasons for the Celtics.
00:06:01 Yeah.
00:06:02 Not a game two town.
00:06:03 I actually saw a worse homestead.
00:06:05 I thought it was like 9 and 11.
00:06:10 I'm sick.
00:06:11 I will say I'm sick of these wake up call games.
00:06:13 Miami lose game two.
00:06:14 It's a wake up call.
00:06:15 They'll bounce back.
00:06:16 They'll figure things out and come back stronger.
00:06:19 At some point, you got to just be like, "It's the playoffs.
00:06:21 Wake up time's over.
00:06:22 Let's just come out of the gate every game hot and just step on their throats."
00:06:26 Just do it.
00:06:27 Celtics have the Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde thing going where one game they look like the best
00:06:32 team in the NBA, which they are.
00:06:34 Best record in the NBA.
00:06:35 They earned that by winning the most games in the NBA.
00:06:38 PFT, you can only play who gets put in front of you.
00:06:40 I agree with that.
00:06:41 Good point.
00:06:42 Good point.
00:06:43 Amen.
00:06:44 But then they come out in other games and look like they have no chance to get beat
00:06:46 by 25 to a Cavs team that's not that good.
00:06:49 Well, the Cavs did play well tonight.
00:06:50 Karris LeVert was awesome.
00:06:52 We told you Donovan Mitchell would have a game where he shot well from three.
00:06:57 Evan Mobley was awesome as well.
00:06:58 The Cavs have guys and they played really well.
00:07:01 Yeah.
00:07:02 I mean, the Celtics should lose to them.
00:07:05 They live and die by three.
00:07:07 That's what it is with this team.
00:07:11 When they shoot bad, it looks terrible.
00:07:12 When they shoot good, they look like the best team of all time.
00:07:15 So, no panic, no nothing.
00:07:17 It is what it is.
00:07:18 You lose a game, wake up call.
00:07:21 Yeah.
00:07:22 It's the same.
00:07:23 It feels similar to the Heat series.
00:07:24 I'm not going to be humble about it, but it's like they got to come out and dominate the
00:07:28 next three games.
00:07:29 They got to come correct.
00:07:30 They got to win the next game.
00:07:31 But I like, again, we had them on, AWL's love them, I love them.
00:07:35 Mazzuola is the guy that's going to get in their ass, tell them to figure it out.
00:07:39 I don't know why they didn't get in their ass after game one.
00:07:42 I don't know what goes on there.
00:07:44 Who's ass does he need to get in?
00:07:45 He's got to get in everyone's ass.
00:07:47 Yeah.
00:07:48 The whole team.
00:07:49 Whole team.
00:07:50 Everyone.
00:07:51 Top to bottom.
00:07:52 Yeah.
00:07:53 Run a train.
00:07:54 Stack them on top of each other.
00:07:55 And also, remember Hank, we are-
00:07:56 So, he's climbing the ladder.
00:07:57 Yeah.
00:07:58 Okay.
00:07:59 Got it.
00:08:00 So, he's close to hitting Kristoff's minimum.
00:08:02 Oh, are we?
00:08:03 Of several.
00:08:04 Yes, several.
00:08:05 No, two-
00:08:06 Several is three.
00:08:07 Several is three.
00:08:08 Well, no, a few is three.
00:08:09 I think-
00:08:10 A couple's two, a few's three.
00:08:11 Several, I think, has to be like four or five.
00:08:13 I think several is three and up.
00:08:16 I know a few is three, but I think three is also several.
00:08:19 So, he's close to hitting his minimum.
00:08:20 I think you keep them out until, hopefully, we don't get to a game six situation, but
00:08:25 save them for that.
00:08:28 Don't rush them back.
00:08:29 I have a question for you.
00:08:30 Yeah.
00:08:31 And let's just be, let's just, listen.
00:08:34 What?
00:08:35 No, it's just, I have a question seven hours later.
00:08:37 Oh, okay.
00:08:38 The question comes up.
00:08:39 All right, fine.
00:08:40 You want me to just rip the band off and ask the question?
00:08:41 I don't know the answer to this question.
00:08:44 I think you know the answer to the question right now, and I think when your head hits
00:08:48 the pillow, you might be like, "Am I right?"
00:08:52 So that sounds like what you think the answer to the question is.
00:08:55 No, because I actually don't know the answer to the question.
00:08:57 But you prefacing that way means like-
00:08:58 Hank does so much fucking interrupting when we're trying to ask him a question.
00:09:02 It's ridiculous.
00:09:03 I said, "Do you want me to rip the band off and ask the question?"
00:09:05 "Yes."
00:09:06 You know what?
00:09:07 I don't know the answer to this.
00:09:08 Just be honest.
00:09:09 Next time we say, "Is it okay if I ask you a question?"
00:09:11 Just say no.
00:09:12 Yeah.
00:09:13 I can, as long as you don't talk.
00:09:14 It's not okay.
00:09:15 It's definitely not okay with you.
00:09:16 Question time.
00:09:17 Do you want me to give you my answer before I give you the question?
00:09:21 My answer would be, "Yeah."
00:09:25 That would be my answer.
00:09:26 "Yeah."
00:09:27 If I asked you a question, what would your answer be?
00:09:28 My answer would be, "I think so."
00:09:32 "Yeah."
00:09:33 The question is, "Is Jason Tatum the best player on a championship team?"
00:09:39 "Yes."
00:09:40 "100% no hesitation?"
00:09:42 "Yeah."
00:09:43 "Okay.
00:09:44 Are you sure?"
00:09:45 "Yes."
00:09:46 "Okay.
00:09:47 All right.
00:09:48 Then we're good."
00:09:49 Then you don't even need to tell him the stat because he already said he's good.
00:09:52 You love your stats.
00:09:54 I have a stat.
00:09:55 Yeah.
00:09:56 You cherry pick stats.
00:09:57 This isn't a cherry pick stat.
00:09:58 This is the opposite of a cherry pick stat.
00:10:01 There's a stat called BPM for basketball.
00:10:03 It's kind of like war.
00:10:04 It's what you contribute to your team points overall when you're on the court.
00:10:10 If you look, the peak, like Jokic this year was 13, plus 13.
00:10:15 How's he doing?
00:10:16 He won an MVP.
00:10:19 Good point.
00:10:20 Good point.
00:10:21 We'll go to playoffs after because good point.
00:10:23 It tracks pretty consistently like when a peak Jordan year is like 11-12, peak LeBron
00:10:31 year 11-12.
00:10:32 The best player in the league, the best player on a championship team is usually up there
00:10:37 in the top 10, so much so that I look back and the last time a team won a championship
00:10:46 with a guy who wasn't on, with zero players in the top 10 of the BPM was the Detroit Pistons.
00:10:52 Now, you could make the argument that these Celtics are like that Pistons team where the
00:10:56 team is so good collectively that it doesn't matter, but does that make you a little concerned?
00:11:03 Because if you go down the list, it's pretty much every single year he's 16th.
00:11:07 What's Brown?
00:11:09 Brown is, here, I'll find it for you.
00:11:11 But it's every single year you go down, like Jokic last year was one, Curry.
00:11:16 Curry actually, the Warriors year was almost an aberration.
00:11:19 Curry was ninth, Giannis was two, LeBron five, Kawhi six.
00:11:24 When the Warriors won in 2018, that team, it was incredible.
00:11:27 They had Steph and KD, three and four.
00:11:29 Like down the list it goes.
00:11:31 I think you said Jalen was pretty far down there.
00:11:33 Every team that has won a title has a guy who is a top 10 BPM guy on their roster.
00:11:38 All right, I'm going to find it for you.
00:11:41 But again, and here's where I'm being fair, Hank, the Wolves also don't have a top 10
00:11:46 guy from the regular season.
00:11:47 So maybe this is the year that we have two teams that don't have quote unquote, like
00:11:53 one of the top five players in the league.
00:11:56 Although Anthony Edwards and Jason Tatum did finish, did he finish five in NBA?
00:11:59 What about the, is Luca, I'm assuming is on there?
00:12:03 Yes.
00:12:04 Let me get it for you.
00:12:05 Oh yeah, Shay.
00:12:06 So this year the top 10 were Jokic, Luca, Giannis, Shay, Tyrese Halberton, LeBron,
00:12:15 Sabonis, Brunson, Mitchell, Kawhi.
00:12:18 Those are the top 10 for this year.
00:12:22 And hold on, I'm going to get it for you.
00:12:24 What?
00:12:25 Oh yeah, I mean by that it's going to, you're saying it'll be a Knicks.
00:12:30 No because that's his team's won a title.
00:12:33 That's not how stats work also.
00:12:35 Like any of those teams from the East could make the finals.
00:12:38 We're talking about the winning team.
00:12:40 The winning team.
00:12:41 Historically.
00:12:42 I mean, it doesn't take a stat to tell you this.
00:12:44 It takes just watching basketball for the last, it feels like 30 years.
00:12:48 The winner of the NBA championship usually has a superstar on their team.
00:12:52 Correct.
00:12:53 Yeah, but this Celtic team to your point is built, you know, it's a team.
00:12:59 It is a team.
00:13:00 That's what I'm saying.
00:13:01 It could be the wolves versus Celtics and you could be saying, well, this, that makes
00:13:03 no sense because both these teams have proved the sum of the parts is bigger.
00:13:06 Now Anthony Edwards also is number two in BPM in these playoffs.
00:13:10 He's ascending to a point, you know, who's number three here.
00:13:13 Here's what, here's a helpline.
00:13:14 You know, it's number three, who Derek White.
00:13:17 So it might be Derek White's team.
00:13:19 So what MVP plus 4,000.
00:13:21 That's true.
00:13:22 That is true.
00:13:23 So, so then what's the argument?
00:13:25 But no, I'm going to take Hank's side.
00:13:26 I'm going to take your side.
00:13:27 Jason Tatum and the best player on a championship team.
00:13:30 I'm going to take your side a little bit in this.
00:13:32 If the Celtics get hot, if Tatum plays, he's very capable of being the best player on the
00:13:38 court in most games.
00:13:39 Like he could do it, right?
00:13:40 He's, we've seen him do that.
00:13:41 Like you said, he finished what fifth in MVP voting.
00:13:44 So if he, if he kicks it into high gear, I don't think what, or he said like something
00:13:49 about MVP voting with Tatum.
00:13:51 Nope.
00:13:52 I thought you said something like that like two minutes ago.
00:13:54 I think I said it.
00:13:56 Uh, Jason Tatum, I think finished fifth or sixth.
00:13:58 Okay.
00:13:59 Fifth.
00:14:00 Yeah.
00:14:01 So there you go.
00:14:02 So he's up there in the conversation.
00:14:03 If he plays an extremely high level for the next three, four weeks, five weeks, he's going
00:14:06 to be, and, and they win the championship.
00:14:10 He's going to be like, Oh, I can't believe this no name Celtics team won.
00:14:13 No, they're a really good team.
00:14:15 They'll say Jason Tatum is a superstar.
00:14:17 He carried them to these, the, this title and people remember Jason Tatum because he's
00:14:21 already close enough to that level where you'd be like, okay, the playoffs can turn him into
00:14:26 a legitimate carrier of a team.
00:14:28 Yeah.
00:14:29 So Chris stops was 14.
00:14:31 Uh, Jason Tatum was 15 and then Jalen Brown was 80.
00:14:38 Derek White was 22.
00:14:39 So you need, you need Chris stops back.
00:14:41 You need Chris outside.
00:14:42 Again, I'm not, I think you guys are going to still kill the calves.
00:14:47 Um, I think you're still in the East.
00:14:49 It was more of a bigger question.
00:14:51 And again, my answer is yeah, but at least I, I don't know.
00:14:56 He just doesn't, he took two shots in the fourth.
00:14:59 He liked, he, he like feeds in and out.
00:15:01 Well, I mean, but you guys, what was the 10 point game going into the fourth?
00:15:05 More than that.
00:15:06 I think you guys got blown out in the fourth.
00:15:07 Like, and he just has like, he's averaging, he's averaging five points less in the playoffs
00:15:11 than he did in the season.
00:15:13 That can't, this is when like Jalen Brunson is scoring 40 a night.
00:15:17 I have six players.
00:15:19 He's got to step up, but yeah, no, I think that's, I think that actually my slander that
00:15:22 goes on for what Jason Tatum.
00:15:24 Where's there been slander?
00:15:25 I've asked questions.
00:15:26 No, just, just online and in the media.
00:15:28 I think he's an incredible player.
00:15:30 We're online and in the media.
00:15:31 We're both those.
00:15:32 Yeah.
00:15:33 So what do you say about Joel Embiid when these conversations happen?
00:15:36 There goes Max.
00:15:37 Well, Joel, that was like, does it make it this?
00:15:39 I was like, oh yeah, we all love, we all love coming in second, right?
00:15:43 Max, Max was underneath the wrestling ring there and he just popped out with a steel
00:15:48 chair.
00:15:49 Actually, Max, Philadelphia, according to Hank, Philadelphia sports is they've had nothing
00:15:53 but success for the last two years.
00:15:54 Correct.
00:15:55 Nothing but success.
00:15:56 Uh, Hank, tonight when the fourth quarter, Jason Tatum's played like 700 more playoff
00:16:03 games than Embiid at this point and he's probably like two years younger.
00:16:08 He's very good, but this is the time that we have to do this.
00:16:11 Hank, you, you suffer a, yeah, no, it's fine.
00:16:13 They lost.
00:16:14 They were down 12 going into the fourth quarter.
00:16:15 That's still a game.
00:16:16 That's still a game.
00:16:19 Like you should, if that's a game that you can still win for sure.
00:16:22 Yeah, it was a bad game.
00:16:24 I think, I think you guys just have these bad games and you're, you're, you're going
00:16:28 to be fine.
00:16:29 But I just, that was a question that I just asked because I feel like half the time I
00:16:33 watch him, I'm like, well, he, I expect him to be the best player on the court and there's
00:16:37 been, I don't know when he's been the best player on the court and he's playoffs.
00:16:41 Jalen Brown's been phenomenal for some games.
00:16:43 Derek White's been insane.
00:16:45 Donovan Mitchell was great tonight.
00:16:46 Donovan Mitchell's had games, you know, last series that he was out of this world.
00:16:50 Like I mean, but it's happened in the past four or five, six years.
00:16:54 It's happened many times.
00:16:55 You know what this sounds like?
00:16:57 This sounds like on a game seven NBA last year.
00:17:00 It sounds like, it sounds like on Turner when game seven shack, like directly calls out
00:17:05 a player and gives a personal challenge.
00:17:07 It sounds like big cat is giving a personal challenge.
00:17:10 Step up.
00:17:11 I'm fine.
00:17:12 Yeah.
00:17:13 You're, you're not wrong that this playoffs, he hasn't been, you know, super, super superstar
00:17:15 level.
00:17:16 He's got to step up.
00:17:17 And again, you're not in trouble.
00:17:18 You're not in trouble.
00:17:19 It's more that if he plays like this in the finals, I think you might be in a lot of trouble.
00:17:25 That's when you need him to step up and be like, no, I'm also, you know, one of these
00:17:29 guys.
00:17:30 I mean, one knock against them.
00:17:31 It would be that he didn't really step up against warriors, but that experience, he
00:17:35 was 19 basically.
00:17:37 Okay.
00:17:38 So a prediction for Saturday night, when by 33, 33, all right, we're back on track.
00:17:46 That's good.
00:17:47 On track.
00:17:48 They still won't be on track.
00:17:49 No, if they won by 33, they're bad.
00:17:50 They have to win by 33.
00:17:52 That was mean.
00:17:53 It's true.
00:17:54 You couldn't do 25.
00:17:55 We're not, we're not even taking into account any of the losses that they have.
00:17:58 That doesn't factor.
00:17:59 I'm saying they're going to work.
00:18:00 Oh no.
00:18:01 Oh, BFT.
00:18:02 What?
00:18:03 If they win each Hank saying, so it could be in the next three games by 33 each, they'll
00:18:08 win by a hundred.
00:18:09 So, okay.
00:18:10 What did I say in the beginning?
00:18:11 Point differential will be a hundred plus.
00:18:13 Yes.
00:18:14 So right now it's one.
00:18:15 Yes, but I don't like what you're doing to Mike.
00:18:17 No, I don't like what you're doing.
00:18:19 I know exactly what you're saying.
00:18:20 I just, I didn't, I didn't realize that.
00:18:22 It's 67.
00:18:23 I didn't realize that the point scored against you in losses didn't count.
00:18:26 Do you not point differential?
00:18:27 Do you know what that means?
00:18:28 In metrics.
00:18:29 I don't know what it means.
00:18:30 I don't know what it means.
00:18:31 I don't know what it means.
00:18:32 I don't know what it means.
00:18:33 I don't know what it means.
00:18:34 I don't know what it means.
00:18:35 I don't know what it means.
00:18:36 I don't know what it means.
00:18:37 I don't know what it means.
00:18:38 I don't know what it means.
00:18:39 I don't know what it means.
00:18:40 I don't know what it means.
00:18:41 I don't know what it means.
00:18:42 I don't know what it means.
00:18:43 I don't know what it means.
00:18:44 I don't know what it means.
00:18:45 I don't know what it means.
00:18:46 I don't know what it means.
00:18:47 I don't know what it means.
00:18:48 I don't know what it means.
00:18:49 I don't know what it means.
00:18:50 I don't know what it means.
00:18:51 I'm not bad at math.
00:18:52 Got it.
00:18:53 How does that not make sense to you?
00:18:54 No, that makes sense.
00:18:55 I think it's going to be three wins, 33, 33, 34.
00:18:58 Yeah, he's saying three wins by 33.
00:19:00 Just to make it nice and even.
00:19:02 Yeah.
00:19:03 I'm saying you've got to do better than that.
00:19:05 No, three wins by 33 would make it nice and even.
00:19:08 No, I guess a little, you know.
00:19:10 You want a little extra, 101.
00:19:11 That's not what it means.
00:19:12 Well, yeah, you know, you get an extra one.
00:19:15 That's not what it means.
00:19:17 All right.
00:19:18 Would you say we should bet on the Celtics on Saturday night?
00:19:22 I'm not, you know, spreads.
00:19:24 I'm not worried about spreads.
00:19:26 We're going to beat them by 33.
00:19:27 That's one thing that I know.
00:19:28 We should ask our correspondent when the Sixers go out of the playoffs, Max does become Boston
00:19:36 Max.
00:19:37 Max, what do you think about the Celtics right now?
00:19:39 I mean, it's game two.
00:19:40 Who gives a fuck about the Cavs?
00:19:42 Everyone's crying about nothing.
00:19:43 We're the Boston Celtics.
00:19:45 We're going to beat the fuck out of them the next game.
00:19:47 Beat the fuck out of them again.
00:19:49 Beat the fuck out of them again.
00:19:50 And then the Pacers and Knicks are both going to be dead by the time they come us.
00:19:55 That's a clean, sweet, clean, sweet.
00:19:57 And then who cares about the West?
00:19:58 Max, what do you think about your Bruins?
00:20:01 The thing about hockey is I know a lot about hockey and I know that my Bruins are going
00:20:06 to win in five, five, five, five, five, not a game, two city, not a game, two city.
00:20:12 I like that.
00:20:13 This is Max.
00:20:14 Yeah.
00:20:15 I like that.
00:20:16 I like that.
00:20:17 Not a game, two city needs to be on a quote card.
00:20:18 Uh, okay.
00:20:19 Other games we got to talk about the Pacers and the Knicks.
00:20:21 How many, how many, uh, things did Rick Carlisle submit to the NBA?
00:20:26 I think 78, I think 70 after the game was over, Rick Carlisle, I, I believe it was in
00:20:31 the first two games, but there are 78 fouls that were either incorrectly called, not called
00:20:37 at all or just blown by the refs.
00:20:39 Yeah.
00:20:40 Some circumstance.
00:20:41 I don't know if he included the phantom double dribble because that was okay.
00:20:44 He definitely included that.
00:20:45 All right.
00:20:46 I'm, I'm going to, uh, stand up a little bit for Rick Carlisle.
00:20:49 If my team is playing a game and there's a flag and you, the whistle's blown or there's
00:20:54 a flag on the field to me, that's been called already.
00:20:58 And if you pick it up or you take the whistle back, then you fucked me over by, by going
00:21:03 back on your incorrect call.
00:21:05 Now it was not a good call.
00:21:07 He very clearly didn't touch the ball with two hands, so it never should have been called
00:21:10 in the first place.
00:21:11 It ended up being, I think a fair outcome to the play, but as a fan or a coach or a
00:21:16 player on one of those teams, once you do that, it's going to really piss me off if
00:21:19 you take it back.
00:21:20 Yeah.
00:21:21 Two things can be true.
00:21:22 Uh, the Pacers have had a bad whistle and they got, they got screwed.
00:21:27 I mean, game one that we talked about on Wednesday, that game one kickball call sucked.
00:21:34 They've gotten a bad whistle.
00:21:35 Rick Carlisle is being a gigantic baby.
00:21:38 I like that's dude play TJ McConnell more like keep him in the game.
00:21:43 He was the, he was, he was the guy who was, who was making things happen.
00:21:47 He played phenomenal and then he took them out for the last seven minutes.
00:21:50 You blew a double digit lead.
00:21:52 You gave up 130 points to Nick's team that has like no one left.
00:21:57 Start maybe pointing the finger at yourself and not, Oh, they don't like small market
00:22:01 team.
00:22:02 Small market team should have been the excuse after like the, at least the third loss.
00:22:06 And I get, you got to wait on that because especially like his whole case is it's Indiana
00:22:12 against New York city, right?
00:22:13 The NBA wants the Knicks to advance.
00:22:16 I don't know if he's seen the Knicks in the playoffs ever, but the NBA doesn't do a very
00:22:21 good job of advancing the Knicks.
00:22:23 If that's been their agenda, they've been really, really bad at executing that.
00:22:27 Correct.
00:22:28 That was a, yeah, I mean it's, I'm fine with like a coach trying to basically make a statement
00:22:34 to get the refs to maybe give them a better whistle, but the small market thing like dude,
00:22:39 come on.
00:22:40 And also like you have made some mistakes in the series that have cost your, your team.
00:22:45 You should have won at least one of these games.
00:22:47 You didn't, you're still in this series because the other side of it, the Knicks are essentially
00:22:53 the night from Monty Python.
00:22:54 Like they have no one.
00:22:56 So Mitchell Robinson's out for the rest of the playoffs.
00:22:59 OG is out for at least game three, but it's feels like more.
00:23:03 Jalen Brunson missed the entire second quarter, which credit to the TNT crew for really giving
00:23:09 us great timely updates when the best player in the series just wasn't there for a quarter.
00:23:14 They had to talk about Reggie Miller and how Reggie Miller used to play against the Knicks
00:23:18 too.
00:23:19 They were just wild.
00:23:20 It was very crazy because I was watching the game and I was like, where, what's Jalen doing?
00:23:23 Where is he?
00:23:24 Is he, is he taking a break?
00:23:25 And then I was like, wait, no.
00:23:26 Tibbs is the coach.
00:23:27 There's no chance that nobody's taking a break and just nothing happened until like right
00:23:32 before halftime.
00:23:33 And then they went back, we saw the replay.
00:23:35 The replay was no help either.
00:23:37 Nope.
00:23:38 I don't know.
00:23:39 You like tweaked his foot or something.
00:23:40 I thought it was groin then it was foot.
00:23:41 Yeah, but he came back and I mean, he was, he's a tough motherfucker.
00:23:43 Yeah.
00:23:44 I mean he was, he did what he's been doing all these playoffs.
00:23:46 He's he's was like own the game late and he's so much fun to watch and uh, he's just incredible
00:23:53 and he is, I've had some Knicks fans ask me.
00:23:55 Yes, he is.
00:23:56 Anthony Edwards and Jalen Brunson are now officially emerging superstars.
00:24:00 Like they, I still think you have to do it for a couple of years, uh, or maybe one more
00:24:04 year cause they all both did it last year too, but they're absolutely emerging superstars
00:24:09 and all over the place.
00:24:11 But I, I don't know what the Knicks do now.
00:24:13 They don't have, they're just losing guys left and right.
00:24:16 They've got what, like seven guys now that can Josh Hart.
00:24:18 I think, I think Tibbs is just have to like have Josh Hart play two positions at once.
00:24:22 That guy just never comes out.
00:24:23 He can do it.
00:24:24 He's a fucking dog.
00:24:25 And that was a great moment at the end when he, when he, when he went up to the mic and
00:24:28 was like, Hey, I think they're saying fuck you to Reggie Miller.
00:24:30 Yeah, it was really good.
00:24:31 That was great.
00:24:32 Reggie.
00:24:33 I mean, why did they fly him in for that game?
00:24:35 I think it's Spike Lee asked for it.
00:24:37 That sucked.
00:24:38 Yeah.
00:24:39 There's no need for him to be there.
00:24:41 Um, just brainstorming out loud.
00:24:43 But yeah, that was crazy.
00:24:44 They just didn't give us an update on the most important player in the series.
00:24:47 Yeah.
00:24:48 I don't know for an entire quarter.
00:24:49 So he's, he's questionable right now.
00:24:51 He's questionable.
00:24:52 They don't know if he's going to play.
00:24:53 Um, I, my guess is that he's going to try to play and that Tibbs will be like, please
00:24:58 try to play.
00:24:59 But that seems like one of those injuries that's going to get worse the day after you
00:25:03 heard it than it is at the time.
00:25:05 And this, we're getting also to a point where I think, and I've seen max, he's starting
00:25:10 to kind of be like the, the Sixers, Nick series is over.
00:25:14 Now it's my Villanova guys.
00:25:17 Like the only guys they have left are Jalen Brunson, Devin Chenzo and Josh Hart.
00:25:21 They're just going to try to win this title, which is Nova.
00:25:23 Yeah.
00:25:24 Well, that's what they've been saying.
00:25:25 It's like, they're, they're still like best friends.
00:25:26 Yeah.
00:25:27 So I think if they go back to Villanova, Max, this would be a championship for Philadelphia.
00:25:31 I think, I think Kyle Neptune would be, you'd have to give him a contract extension.
00:25:35 Um, disagree.
00:25:37 Okay.
00:25:38 But I do think that what's going on in New York right now only further cements that Jay
00:25:44 writes the best college basketball coach of all time.
00:25:46 Okay.
00:25:47 Yeah, that's appropriate.
00:25:48 Okay.
00:25:49 He's going to be like, uh, you know how, um, coach Cal had like all those jerseys of his
00:25:55 first round picks in the basement.
00:25:56 Like that's going this next team, if they do happen to win a championship at some point,
00:26:01 uh, coach Wright is definitely going to have like championship banners of this next team
00:26:05 hanging up.
00:26:06 If he ever gets back into coaching.
00:26:07 Were, were we a curse to the city of New York?
00:26:11 We lived there for seven years and now they're, they're, they're on the precipice of having
00:26:14 both teams in the, in the Eastern conference finals.
00:26:17 Yeah.
00:26:18 And you said it from day one, you just wanted them to be good so that you'd have something
00:26:22 to like vibe off of.
00:26:23 Yeah.
00:26:24 I mean, I mean if it was maybe be getting Boston, Boston, uh, New York, New York, New
00:26:29 York, New York.
00:26:30 Yeah.
00:26:31 Which is crazy.
00:26:32 I mean you might just have to go live there for a couple of days.
00:26:35 Uh, but yeah, I, I, I think the Pacers will probably win on Friday night just based off
00:26:40 or is it Friday night or Saturday?
00:26:42 I think it's Friday.
00:26:43 I think it's Friday.
00:26:44 Uh, believe I hate when these weird schedules were double header tomorrow.
00:26:47 Yeah.
00:26:48 But where the nuggets play Monday and Friday and then everyone else is still going every
00:26:52 two days.
00:26:53 Yeah.
00:26:54 So I think the Pacers will get a good whistle.
00:26:56 I think with the Knicks injuries, the Pacers will win game three.
00:26:59 But uh, the Knicks are like, it's crazy what they're doing cause they just keep losing
00:27:04 guys and they just keep fighting harder than everyone.
00:27:06 Keep offensive rebounding.
00:27:07 Jalen Brunson keeps being better and better.
00:27:10 It's nuts.
00:27:11 I could see them continuing to just do this and have everybody be like, how the fuck is
00:27:15 this happening?
00:27:16 It's fun to watch.
00:27:17 Um, and the Mecca is crazy.
00:27:20 Is buzzing.
00:27:21 It is buzzing.
00:27:22 And then the last NBA game we had was the Mavs, uh, evening the series one, one Luca
00:27:28 on one foot on no feet, no feet, no arms, no arms, no teeth either.
00:27:33 Yeah.
00:27:34 Had had an awesome game.
00:27:35 Uh, pretty close to a triple double at 29 to and in seven.
00:27:39 And uh, it was also the, the Tim Hardaway game and the PJ Washington game because both
00:27:43 those guys were lights out.
00:27:45 It's him.
00:27:46 Hardaway is really good.
00:27:47 Also seven for 11 from three.
00:27:48 Also real quick credit to Hubie Brown.
00:27:50 Yeah.
00:27:51 Also a shout out to Hubie Brown.
00:27:53 Think about Hubie Brown.
00:27:54 Positive thoughts towards Hubie.
00:27:55 The dude is 90 years old and no, and he, he's beloved.
00:27:59 Nobody is out there being like, Hubie needs to get off the air.
00:28:02 He's mixing stuff up.
00:28:04 Hubie is sharp as ever.
00:28:05 The game started at what?
00:28:06 830 tonight.
00:28:07 830 central.
00:28:08 Hubie probably, Hubie probably wakes up at like 6:00 PM.
00:28:12 Yeah.
00:28:13 Goes to the game, goes home, goes to bed like, I don't know, four in the morning.
00:28:18 You know how old people are.
00:28:19 He gets the continental breakfast at like 7 PM.
00:28:22 But Hubie's absolutely crushing it.
00:28:24 Yeah.
00:28:25 He's, I mean, he's a revelation when you compare it to flying Reggie Miller in.
00:28:29 Yeah.
00:28:30 Just fly Hubie, Hubie Brown around.
00:28:31 Yeah.
00:28:32 Um, it will be, I mean, I, I thought this series was going to be a dogfight back and
00:28:35 forth so I'm not surprised the Mavs won this game and Luca, I will see it.
00:28:41 Luca's injured.
00:28:43 Luca also likes to let you know he's injured.
00:28:45 Oh yeah.
00:28:46 Well, he really likes to let us know he's injured.
00:28:48 Because even when he's not injured, he's injured.
00:28:50 Right.
00:28:51 Because maybe you'll get like a really late call.
00:28:53 He's, he might lead the league in and hit a big shot limp.
00:28:56 Yeah.
00:28:57 He, no, he yells, he does.
00:28:58 He's a big, he might be the big Ben of the NBA.
00:29:00 He might be.
00:29:01 He does.
00:29:02 He could be.
00:29:03 He does two things.
00:29:04 He'll like pretend that he's injured after he makes a shot or he'll, he'll get mad at
00:29:08 the ref after he makes a wide open shot where nobody came close to touching him and he's
00:29:12 still mad about something from like five plays ago at that same ref.
00:29:15 Right.
00:29:16 I'll scream at the, he's always angry about something.
00:29:17 Yeah.
00:29:18 You could actually get Luca.
00:29:19 Cause yeah, you're right.
00:29:20 Like when he yells at a ref, his injury goes away.
00:29:22 Yeah.
00:29:23 So when he's yelling at a ref, the ref needs to be like, are you injured or are you yelling
00:29:25 at me?
00:29:26 Are you mad?
00:29:27 It's like, he, it's like patting your head and rubbing your stomach at the same time.
00:29:29 Yeah.
00:29:30 Can't be both.
00:29:31 Right.
00:29:32 And it's like, it's like when my kids are like, when they don't want to eat their dinner,
00:29:34 they're like, my tummy hurts.
00:29:35 I'm like, great.
00:29:36 We won't have dessert.
00:29:37 And they're like, no, my tummy doesn't hurt anymore.
00:29:38 Yep.
00:29:39 That's what Luca is doing.
00:29:40 When you yell at a ref, it's like, so your leg doesn't hurt?
00:29:41 No, no, it still hurts.
00:29:42 Yeah.
00:29:43 And there was blood on his, one of his sleeves tonight on his leg and he was being extra.
00:29:46 He's so good.
00:29:47 And when he was doing a really good job of was just staring down at the blood on his
00:29:51 leg all the time to make sure everybody knew that there was blood on his leg.
00:29:55 Yeah.
00:29:56 How, what shirt did they wear in the first game?
00:29:58 Was it white?
00:29:59 Uh, I think it was a combo.
00:30:00 I think some, it was different.
00:30:01 I didn't like the blue tonight.
00:30:03 Yeah.
00:30:04 It was all blue.
00:30:05 It kind of looked like it was just seats.
00:30:06 Well, and also that's the Mavs colors too.
00:30:07 Yeah.
00:30:08 I guess they're, they have white as well.
00:30:09 Yeah.
00:30:10 So to the untrained eye from a distance across a big room, it looked like it was just empty
00:30:15 seats there, but I'm sure it was loud.
00:30:17 This series is going to be very fun.
00:30:18 Um, should we talk a little hockey?
00:30:20 The Rangers are an absolute wagon.
00:30:22 They're up three Oh against the hurricanes.
00:30:24 Uh, in the hockey world, the hurricanes I think are the, the big time fraud alert team
00:30:30 because every year they're the advanced analytics love them and they just do this.
00:30:35 Uh, so it looks, I mean the Rangers haven't lost in these playoffs.
00:30:38 So you actually, did you guys go to overtime in any of your games?
00:30:42 No.
00:30:43 Uh, did we?
00:30:44 No, I don't think so.
00:30:45 I was going to say maybe you will lose less.
00:30:48 We yeah.
00:30:49 On aggregate, but they went to overtime.
00:30:51 Yeah.
00:30:52 Yeah.
00:30:53 No, I was trying to spin zone.
00:30:54 The capital stink.
00:30:55 I don't, don't patronize the capitals.
00:30:56 I'm not trying to be a bad team.
00:30:58 The Rangers seven and Oh, last time there were seven Oh one Stanley cup or 94 feels
00:31:02 like 94 feels like 94.
00:31:04 Mark Massie, a OJ in the news for death again.
00:31:07 Yeah.
00:31:08 Yeah.
00:31:09 And the, and Pavel Bury and the Canucks and those, those Canucks uniforms rocked.
00:31:12 Yeah.
00:31:13 They were like bad, but awesome.
00:31:14 Yeah.
00:31:15 That was a, that was a very fun game.
00:31:17 Yeah.
00:31:18 Um, so Vancouver crowd, they, yeah.
00:31:21 Love their hockey.
00:31:22 Yeah.
00:31:23 Oh that, that, yeah.
00:31:24 That Vancouver, uh, Oilers game, I have to admit I did fall asleep and I was shocked
00:31:28 at the score because it felt like the Oilers had that game and even like even in the first
00:31:33 period it was, it was very workmanlike Oilers get a power play, they score, okay, we're
00:31:39 off and running, everything's good.
00:31:42 And the Canucks just period of the week, period of the week was the third period to come back
00:31:46 and win that game.
00:31:47 That's my period.
00:31:48 Absolutely.
00:31:49 That was awesome.
00:31:50 So I mean the Canucks biz told us like trucks kind of have no business, like they were not
00:31:54 no business, but they didn't have the expectations of being this team this year and they just
00:31:59 keep getting, they keep finding a way.
00:32:01 Yeah.
00:32:02 I'm sorry to your Bruins though for scrapping it up a little bit.
00:32:05 That was an awesome fight.
00:32:06 It was, well, yeah, he got punched right in his head.
00:32:08 Well he got cheap shot.
00:32:09 I was going to say that pasta taking that fight was awesome.
00:32:12 He's not a fighter and Chuck is like a bad ass pasta.
00:32:17 Asked like you asked the coach for permission.
00:32:19 Yeah.
00:32:20 Well no, he, I don't think he asked for permission.
00:32:21 I think he told him he was doing it and you could see the coach be like, Oh, okay, you
00:32:25 want to do this?
00:32:27 Go ahead.
00:32:28 That's what you should absolutely do in a game where you get your teeth kicked in the
00:32:31 playoffs.
00:32:32 You should always get into a fight at the end of it.
00:32:34 Yeah.
00:32:35 Yeah.
00:32:36 The swimming magic wore off a little bit, but he was, you know, unconscious before that.
00:32:40 So it was, you know, water always finds its level, but it'll be a big bounce back.
00:32:44 I'm interested to see the bounce back tonight.
00:32:47 So possibly you gotta, you gotta load up on some pasta props.
00:32:50 Yeah.
00:32:51 Did, did, could Chuck's not getting a suspension or anything, right?
00:32:54 That was a cheap shot at the end.
00:32:55 Yeah.
00:32:56 Like the, I think the first hit him on the way down.
00:32:58 Well I think the one, and then hit him again.
00:33:00 I think the hit on the way down was like borderline.
00:33:02 Okay.
00:33:03 Because they're still fighting.
00:33:04 But the one when he was all the way down, it's like, come on, dude.
00:33:07 Yeah.
00:33:08 You can't do that.
00:33:09 Yeah.
00:33:10 Don't do that.
00:33:11 Um, and then the, the stars when they beat the, uh, avalanche, I think we got some good
00:33:14 series going except for the Rangers hurricanes.
00:33:17 That's over.
00:33:18 I did not watch any of the stars avalanche tonight, but, um, in theory I know that that's
00:33:22 an electric series.
00:33:23 So next time we have biz or win on, I'll just be like, what a great series.
00:33:25 That was two great teams.
00:33:27 You tell us how great that series is.
00:33:29 Um, okay.
00:33:30 I had some rapid fire things if I, if you guys are down for, yeah, I got one thing too.
00:33:34 You go.
00:33:35 Okay.
00:33:36 The NFL is king.
00:33:37 Yes.
00:33:38 Is this a rapid fire thing?
00:33:39 No.
00:33:40 Okay.
00:33:41 The NFL is king.
00:33:42 They're doing Christmas games again this year.
00:33:43 That's not the news.
00:33:44 The news is that it looks like they're going to be maybe two games, all the Christmas day
00:33:48 games on Netflix, which is interesting because Netflix has never broadcast an NFL game before.
00:33:55 Correct.
00:33:56 I don't know who the answer is going to be.
00:33:57 Is Netflix going to have their own announcing crew?
00:33:59 You said maybe Brady.
00:34:01 Are they going to rent Tom Brady for a day and then he'll go on Sunday and work at Fox?
00:34:05 Continue the roast.
00:34:06 Yeah.
00:34:07 Continue the roast.
00:34:08 You know what?
00:34:09 Here's, here's the thing that should really piss the NBA off about this and the NFL can
00:34:12 do whatever the fuck they want and they're going to dominate the NBA in ratings.
00:34:16 Not only are they taking away Christmas day from the NBA, they're also taking away the
00:34:22 ability of people to comfortably change the channel to the NBA games.
00:34:27 Correct.
00:34:28 During commercial breaks, quarter breaks and halftime because signing out of Netflix, turning
00:34:34 onto cable if you're watching on cable or to a different streaming app.
00:34:37 Yup.
00:34:38 Such a pain in the dick to do that.
00:34:40 And so they're taking away even the, the pity ratings that you would get for like a quick
00:34:44 two minute check in on the NBA Christmas games.
00:34:47 And remember Christmas on a Wednesday this year and the NFL has had previously said they
00:34:53 weren't going to touch like middle of the week Christmas day.
00:34:58 Remember last year they were like, cause there is a rule there.
00:35:01 They don't do Friday night games cause of high school football.
00:35:05 Uh, but last year they're like, fuck it, we'll do a Friday afternoon game.
00:35:08 Black Friday.
00:35:09 Now it doesn't matter.
00:35:10 It doesn't matter when the game's going to be.
00:35:12 They're going to play it and we'll show up.
00:35:14 Yeah.
00:35:15 We're going to watch it.
00:35:16 Do you think there's a chance any of our teams are in it on Christmas?
00:35:20 Yeah.
00:35:22 How many games are there?
00:35:23 I mean our teams, the ax probably has the best chance.
00:35:27 They do love scheduling the bears in primetime and for a national audience.
00:35:30 They love doing that.
00:35:32 I think we might get a primetime game again.
00:35:34 I think we actually all might get primetime games against each other because of the draft.
00:35:39 Oh, because of the rookies.
00:35:40 Yeah.
00:35:41 We're playing each other again.
00:35:43 Yeah.
00:35:44 We're the, the bears and the Patriots are that weird, uh, like added game.
00:35:47 You know how we played each other?
00:35:49 I know with the 17 game season it's you play a whole division and there's a one added from
00:35:55 the other conference and for some reason we drew you.
00:35:58 Uh, but, and then we played again.
00:36:01 We're going to play again.
00:36:02 I hope it's Thursday night as is tradition.
00:36:04 Tattoo bet.
00:36:05 Tattoo bet.
00:36:06 Run it back.
00:36:07 Yup.
00:36:08 They're probably going to do, it's later on the season, so it, it might even be a divisional
00:36:13 game.
00:36:14 What?
00:36:15 Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:36:16 Cause it's Christmas day.
00:36:17 Yeah.
00:36:18 Yeah.
00:36:19 I think we played the Chiefs last year.
00:36:20 How many games are there?
00:36:21 Uh, two or three.
00:36:22 I'm not sure.
00:36:23 Give us, give us a whole, I heard the perm bet thing brought up.
00:36:26 I just want to say for the record, I've said this a few times.
00:36:28 Um, I wanted to do the perm bet during the live stream.
00:36:30 I agree.
00:36:31 Put memes in charge of that.
00:36:32 Was it last year?
00:36:33 Yeah.
00:36:34 Put memes in charge of that one.
00:36:35 And memes like, okay, I'll do it.
00:36:36 And then he told me like two days after I told him to do that, he's like, yeah, I don't
00:36:41 know if we're going to be able to get the person to come out.
00:36:43 So I didn't have enough time to schedule the person.
00:36:45 I will do a perm.
00:36:46 If somebody else, if somebody max.
00:36:48 Good, good accountability.
00:36:49 If max or meme schedules the perm, I will absolutely do it.
00:36:52 Love that.
00:36:53 But now we have to like make it a moment though.
00:36:55 Like it would be boring if we just did in the middle of summer.
00:36:58 It has to be during football season.
00:36:59 I agree.
00:37:00 Yeah.
00:37:01 Yeah.
00:37:02 We should like during it like Superbowl.
00:37:03 Yeah.
00:37:04 We should wait.
00:37:05 We should wait.
00:37:06 I'm down and do it whenever.
00:37:07 Yeah.
00:37:08 We have to do dingers only soon.
00:37:09 Oh yeah.
00:37:10 Baseball.
00:37:11 Oh, we'll do it for July 4th.
00:37:12 Yeah.
00:37:13 July 4th.
00:37:14 Yeah.
00:37:15 Okay.
00:37:16 Ready for my rapid fire.
00:37:17 I'm going to do it.
00:37:18 I'm going to do it.
00:37:19 Shout out Colin Coward.
00:37:20 We don't really like him, but credit to him for going backwards.
00:37:23 Had coach take with JJ Redick saying JJ Redick could not be a coach cause he's wearing a
00:37:27 backwards hat.
00:37:28 Yeah.
00:37:29 Good.
00:37:30 Keep fucking that chicken.
00:37:31 He said, I mean, I just, I, once we got to the coaches, by the way, JJ Redick is going
00:37:36 to be the next coach of the Lakers, right?
00:37:40 LeBron is really defending.
00:37:41 LeBron defended JJ Redick against Colin Coward.
00:37:44 It feels like, it feels like he could be.
00:37:46 Feels like JJ is, is the hot name out there.
00:37:49 And this is based off no information, but I am more based off just seeing LeBron defending
00:37:54 cause LeBron doesn't interact with Colin Coward.
00:37:56 Yeah.
00:37:57 And you know what?
00:37:58 When we asked JJ when he was on the show, how he would feel about coaching the Lakers,
00:38:01 he said they have a coach.
00:38:02 He didn't say he didn't really answer the question.
00:38:05 They have a coach.
00:38:06 Um, that leads me to my next rapid fire.
00:38:08 It sucks to have to coach now sucks in a relative term because these guys make millions of dollars,
00:38:15 uh, and they get paid to not work.
00:38:17 But Frank Vogel got fired from the suns today.
00:38:20 Darvin ham got fired last week.
00:38:22 That's gotta be the worst job in sports as a head coach right now is signing up to coach
00:38:27 a super team because no matter what happens, it's never the player's fault.
00:38:32 It's always a coach's fault.
00:38:33 Yeah.
00:38:34 I think the trick is to coach a super team, but it's when they're in their like late twenties,
00:38:38 early thirties.
00:38:39 Yeah.
00:38:40 If you get older superstars that are, that are joining up to form a super team.
00:38:44 Also Bradley Beal.
00:38:45 I don't know.
00:38:46 Can you call the sons of super team?
00:38:47 Well, they tried to, they tried to have like the Eagles when they were a super team.
00:38:50 It was an attempted super team, but dream team.
00:38:53 Oh yeah.
00:38:54 Dream team was attempted big three.
00:38:56 I just like Darvin ham and it was, was not a great coach.
00:39:01 Frank Vogel has a championship.
00:39:03 Maybe it wasn't a great coach for the sons.
00:39:06 He doesn't matter.
00:39:07 He had a decent regular season, right?
00:39:08 And it, but it doesn't matter because if you don't, if you flame out in the playoffs with
00:39:13 one of these teams with a big three or a super team, you are the fall guy every, every single
00:39:19 time.
00:39:20 It's never the players.
00:39:21 Do you think maybe Pat Riley is a secret genius and that's why when the heat, everyone was
00:39:25 saying like Pat Riley is going to come down and take over the job from Spolstra.
00:39:29 Yeah.
00:39:30 Was he a genius by just being like, I'm going to, I'm going to let this guy coach the team
00:39:33 so that way he'll be fired.
00:39:35 I won't have to fire myself.
00:39:36 And Spoh is just, he's one of the best coaches, but yeah, I don't know.
00:39:39 Like if, if the Lakers offered Spoh $15 million a year, I, he'd probably have to take it because
00:39:47 it'd be $15 million a year.
00:39:49 But I think he would think twice being like, if we don't win a championship, I'm the only
00:39:52 guy who's going to get blamed.
00:39:53 How much do you think he gets paid?
00:39:55 I don't know what NBA coaches like.
00:39:57 He probably gets like seven or eight.
00:39:58 I don't know.
00:39:59 I'm doing California tax math right now compared to Florida.
00:40:02 Oh, good point.
00:40:03 Yeah.
00:40:04 Good point.
00:40:05 It probably has to be closer to 17, 18.
00:40:06 Have to deal with Gavin Newsom on a regular basis.
00:40:08 You have to go to French laundry with him.
00:40:10 Uh, let me see.
00:40:11 Eric Spolstra salary, Eric Spolstra salary.
00:40:15 Oh, he already makes 15 million a year.
00:40:17 Oh yeah.
00:40:18 He's, he's going to need like, I was way off.
00:40:20 He's going to need like 23, 15 million a year.
00:40:23 He deserves it.
00:40:24 Yup.
00:40:25 Uh, all right.
00:40:26 So what if it was the, yeah, so if they offered him 30 pop is number one at 16.
00:40:31 Okay.
00:40:32 Yeah.
00:40:33 So you're kind of going to get fired, which is like if you have old superstars that are
00:40:37 uniting with each other and they still have the championship expectations and they've
00:40:41 never played together and they've had long careers before trying to make this team work,
00:40:46 you're kind of signing up on your own death warrant right there.
00:40:48 Yeah, exactly.
00:40:49 If you don't at least get to a championship, there's a chance you could be fired.
00:40:53 Yeah, right.
00:40:54 Um, the next rapid fire, uh, thing we should have talked about with the Celtics, but that
00:40:58 was some peak peak sports talk radio, uh, with, uh, who is Tony Maz, Felger, Maz saying
00:41:06 Kings, you saw this clip PFT.
00:41:09 I did not see this one.
00:41:10 It was one of the greatest sports radio, uh, moments.
00:41:13 And I, when I say greatest, the worst, he said that, uh, if the Celtics win the championship
00:41:17 this year, doesn't it feel a little hollow because there's not really any good teams.
00:41:21 It's a good point.
00:41:22 And I hadn't thought about that.
00:41:24 All time take, uh, that was, that was a, we don't have anything to talk about.
00:41:28 Take, you know, they're, they're all time contrarians.
00:41:30 Like, Hey, quick question for you.
00:41:31 If the Celtics, if they win the championship this year, doesn't it feel a little bit hollow?
00:41:35 No.
00:41:36 Yeah.
00:41:37 Cause it used to so bad.
00:41:38 No.
00:41:39 Okay.
00:41:40 Yeah.
00:41:41 I'd say it's a quick no.
00:41:42 So did they actually have a discussion about that?
00:41:44 Uh, yeah, I saw like a 30 second clip, but yeah, he was like, Felger was like, uh, no,
00:41:51 it's the NBA dude.
00:41:53 And he's like, well, like, why don't they just play, play a YMCA team and call it a
00:41:58 championship?
00:41:59 They're the number one show in town.
00:42:00 Crazy.
00:42:01 Just make a lot of sense.
00:42:02 Riled up the city of Boston for the last 15 years.
00:42:05 You're not considering ruins like Celtics, Patriots, Red Sox.
00:42:08 What if they only played against like girls teams in high school and for some reason that's
00:42:13 the NBA schedule and win the hollow.
00:42:16 Think about it.
00:42:17 But yeah.
00:42:18 What's the difference between that and this?
00:42:19 I just, I just love when sports talk radio guys are just like, you know what, let's just
00:42:24 fucking, we have nothing really to talk about.
00:42:26 Let's just say that this championship doesn't, that it doesn't exist yet.
00:42:30 Doesn't count if it does exist.
00:42:31 This is what's so funny about Boston is they've won so many things that they're already like
00:42:35 figuring out reasons to not get super excited about the next championship.
00:42:39 It was crazy.
00:42:40 Uh, all right.
00:42:41 My next one was, did you guys see the new iPad pro?
00:42:44 No.
00:42:45 People are very mad because the iPad pro commercial.
00:42:47 Uh, it's uh, it's basically, it looks like, Oh fuck, I'm losing my words.
00:42:54 Uh, the smash thing that they use where they smash things, the compactor.
00:42:59 Yeah.
00:43:00 So it's pneumatic press.
00:43:01 Yeah, there it is.
00:43:02 Pneumatic press.
00:43:03 So it's the iPad pro is a pneumatic press and it's pressing down on like all these instruments
00:43:07 like a piano or trumpet because it fits all that in the iPad pro and people are very upset.
00:43:12 We're going to get mad.
00:43:13 It's like, Oh, so we're just throwing away like thousands of years of cultural, like
00:43:19 meaningful things for fucking technology.
00:43:21 And then the, wait, then the, the iPad pro does not get crushed by it.
00:43:25 No.
00:43:26 Is that what you're saying?
00:43:27 No, it all goes into the iPad pro.
00:43:28 Oh, all that shit gets combined.
00:43:29 I thought you were going to say people are getting upset because people love watching
00:43:31 those press videos.
00:43:32 Oh, I do too.
00:43:33 Because it's like therapeutic to see, watch things get crushed.
00:43:37 And if the iPad doesn't get crushed, people are like, what the fuck?
00:43:39 You've got to crush the iPad.
00:43:40 Yeah.
00:43:41 I wish you could make a Tim cook way to way to ruin the world with your new sleek iPad
00:43:47 pro.
00:43:48 I just laughed at it because it was a commercial.
00:43:49 Yeah.
00:43:50 I mean, there's a lot of bad stuff that goes into that too.
00:43:52 You really want to talk about everything that's happened.
00:43:54 Yeah.
00:43:55 I wish it would, it would have been cool if they had just made that maybe out of order
00:43:58 guys will do it where it's just like the iPad pro crushing like gambling apps, porn sites,
00:44:04 do like, look, you got it all right here.
00:44:06 Everything in there.
00:44:07 Yeah.
00:44:08 All your streaming services right here.
00:44:09 All right.
00:44:10 So we're going to talk about a weird fire topic.
00:44:11 Greg Doyle suspended.
00:44:12 Saw that.
00:44:13 Yeah.
00:44:14 Loved it.
00:44:15 Why?
00:44:16 What happened?
00:44:17 Good call.
00:44:18 Do you like that?
00:44:19 Good call.
00:44:20 Hey, you like that?
00:44:21 I like it.
00:44:22 Yeah.
00:44:23 Do that a little bit more and I'll treat you nice.
00:44:24 We'll be just fine.
00:44:25 Yeah.
00:44:26 The other clip is so funny from that press conference too.
00:44:27 When he talks to the coach, he's like, so you got the keys to that.
00:44:30 Yeah.
00:44:31 To that.
00:44:32 What are you going to do about that?
00:44:33 Um, a lot of journalists were, were actually being like, that's an overreaction to suspend
00:44:38 him.
00:44:39 I don't like it because Greg Doyle's a scold and him getting suspended for this is one
00:44:43 of the funniest ways to get suspended.
00:44:44 Hey, why did you get suspended from covering, uh, one of the most popular athletes in sports
00:44:50 right now?
00:44:51 Well, I did the heart signal to her and I was really creepy.
00:44:53 No, it's just like he got suspended for being a creep.
00:44:56 I don't.
00:44:57 So here's, what's bad about suspending him.
00:45:00 At some point he's going to come back from suspension.
00:45:02 Correct.
00:45:03 And then he is going to have to apologize to Caitlin Clark and he is going to do that
00:45:08 in the most creepy way possible.
00:45:09 Yeah.
00:45:10 It actually sucks for Caitlin Clark.
00:45:11 Yes.
00:45:12 Like Caitlin Clark probably doesn't want him suspended.
00:45:14 Just wants him sitting in the back of the newsroom and just not even asking questions
00:45:18 anymore.
00:45:19 Because now when he does come back, it's a whole other story where she has to accept
00:45:22 his apology, all that bullshit.
00:45:24 What she should do is say like he, I don't want him in the room.
00:45:27 Yeah.
00:45:28 And then the indie star will, they'll have to say, okay, because she's the biggest sports.
00:45:33 She's a story in town right now.
00:45:34 Yeah.
00:45:35 And she is, she is the face of women's sports across the world.
00:45:39 And so if they just tell him, no, you can't get, because if he does come back, he's going
00:45:42 to try to do like, he's going to try to get cute with his apology.
00:45:45 Yeah.
00:45:46 Of course.
00:45:47 He's going to say something that's going to make it worse.
00:45:48 She's going to feel like she has to accept his apology because she probably just doesn't
00:45:52 want to deal with this shit anymore.
00:45:54 And then it's going to be a very weird dynamic.
00:45:55 So just don't, don't let him around the fever.
00:45:58 He should, he should actually not be suspended.
00:46:00 He should just have to go to every game with a t-shirt that says, I'm not a creep, but
00:46:03 I ask creepy questions.
00:46:05 You should just make a Doyle rule, which is not allowed to talk to women.
00:46:09 Yeah.
00:46:10 Don't talk to women, Greg.
00:46:11 Talk to women.
00:46:12 Well, how will he found out that he was wrong?
00:46:16 From he already talked to the women in his life.
00:46:18 Right.
00:46:19 He talked to, just don't talk to women as part of your job.
00:46:22 Yeah.
00:46:23 Ever.
00:46:24 Uh, okay.
00:46:25 Last one.
00:46:26 This one is probably the biggest one.
00:46:27 We have to come to the defense of one of Max's heroes.
00:46:32 Max, I assume you've seen this.
00:46:35 Uh, Shady McCoy.
00:46:38 No, that's one of your heroes.
00:46:40 Chip Kelly.
00:46:41 No, he McCoy.
00:46:42 What?
00:46:43 Yeah.
00:46:44 And we have to come to his defense because we've been there.
00:46:46 Jason Kelsey is fighting a war online against horse Twitter because he implied that secretariat
00:46:53 might've done steroids.
00:46:55 Uh, and if everyone for a long time, AWS, uh, you remember this for new ones.
00:47:02 Welcome.
00:47:03 Uh, we almost got canceled by horse Twitter in 2016 because we called Nyquist a fucking
00:47:08 pussy ass bitch for not running in the Belmont.
00:47:12 Yes.
00:47:13 And we said that he was getting fat and that's why he didn't run.
00:47:15 He looked like Eddie Lacey.
00:47:17 And then there, I'm just getting word now that there may have been some photo shops
00:47:21 done of Nyquist making him look super overweight to the point where Nyquist got bullied off
00:47:27 Twitter.
00:47:28 Yes.
00:47:29 He deactivated his little horse Twitter account.
00:47:30 We did that.
00:47:31 So we did that.
00:47:32 We know what you're going through.
00:47:33 I'm going to tell you this.
00:47:34 I still believe in the first amendment when it comes to insinuating and slandering horses.
00:47:38 So Jason speak, speak your truth.
00:47:41 Yeah.
00:47:42 It's, it's just a very funny, uh, controversy to get in where he just was like, yeah, they
00:47:48 did a lot of steroids in the seventies and his heart was three times bigger.
00:47:53 That feels like steroids and people are mad.
00:47:55 People are very mad.
00:47:56 Like I mean he, some people still have secretariat posters on their wall.
00:48:01 Listen, secretary is the greatest athlete who ever lived.
00:48:04 Uh, it was funny how he apologized on Twitter too because he, he gave like a, an emotional
00:48:10 apology being like, I'm sorry for making accusations towards this horse that's been dead for four
00:48:15 years.
00:48:16 It's ridiculous.
00:48:17 It's a ridiculous controversy.
00:48:18 We stand with you, Jason Kelsey.
00:48:19 It's fucking ridiculous.
00:48:20 We're talking about a horse and I love horses.
00:48:22 I love betting on horses, but saying secretary did steroids should not ruin anyone's day.
00:48:28 You know what?
00:48:29 I'm going to go one further than Jason Kelsey.
00:48:31 I will say they should dig up secretariat's body and test them.
00:48:35 Drug test them.
00:48:36 Drug test them.
00:48:37 Oh wait, it's the only record in sports that has never been broken in terms of like speed
00:48:42 or power for all these years.
00:48:44 Every, every other sport across the entire planet has gotten better since the 1970s and
00:48:52 we're saying horse racing is the one that hasn't.
00:48:55 Making great points.
00:48:56 Think about it.
00:48:57 Dig that horse up.
00:48:59 Making great points.
00:49:00 Also Max, uh, since I, I saw this trending and I was like, let me see what's going on
00:49:05 here.
00:49:06 And I went to Jason Kelsey's page and I think he recently just followed me.
00:49:12 Really?
00:49:13 Yes.
00:49:14 He follows 48 people that rock.
00:49:16 So that's sick.
00:49:18 You're one step away.
00:49:19 I know.
00:49:20 I knew that would excite Max.
00:49:21 Max, it sounds so creepy right now.
00:49:22 No, I'm going to wait.
00:49:23 That's just cool.
00:49:24 I did.
00:49:25 I did.
00:49:26 I did message him.
00:49:27 I was like, don't apologize.
00:49:28 I'm going to wait to tell him that we have a producer that would literally die for him.
00:49:34 I think that's more of like a month or two down the line.
00:49:37 Don't embarrass me.
00:49:38 Well, do you not want me to say that?
00:49:40 I don't know.
00:49:41 Oh wait, he follows me too.
00:49:42 There we go.
00:49:43 Max, does he follow you?
00:49:44 No.
00:49:45 Oh, he follows me too.
00:49:46 Wait, do you guys follow?
00:49:47 No, he doesn't.
00:49:48 He does not follow me.
00:49:49 I'm going to follow him back.
00:49:50 Yeah, follows, follows him.
00:49:51 He followed you first?
00:49:52 Yeah, same with me.
00:49:53 Same with me.
00:49:54 That's so funny.
00:49:55 He followed you first?
00:49:56 Yeah, same with me.
00:49:57 Same with me.
00:49:58 That's so cool.
00:49:59 I was like, wait, I don't follow Jason Kelsey?
00:50:00 I'm going to DM him and tell him not to follow Max.
00:50:02 What the hell?
00:50:03 No, don't even bring me up.
00:50:05 This is like-
00:50:06 Hey, our producer Max, he's a real big horse fan.
00:50:09 He was very upset with what he said about Secretary.
00:50:11 For the record, confirmed doesn't follow me.
00:50:13 I just-
00:50:14 Shit.
00:50:15 All right, yeah, so maybe me and PFT need to just hit him on like just double strike,
00:50:19 being like, hey, could you quickly follow this guy?
00:50:21 No, don't embarrass me.
00:50:23 Max, here's how much I love you.
00:50:25 I would trade, if he's trying to keep it at 48, take me off.
00:50:28 Yeah, me too.
00:50:29 Put Max in.
00:50:30 Well, no, wait, what if we both get taken off?
00:50:31 It's an empty threat.
00:50:33 He's got to follow Mr. Pear too.
00:50:35 Empty promise.
00:50:36 Yeah.
00:50:37 You know two guys who have a direct line to Jason Kelsey?
00:50:41 No, that's cool.
00:50:43 That's sick.
00:50:44 That's sick for you guys.
00:50:45 It is sick.
00:50:46 You know what?
00:50:47 I'm not going to tell him to follow Max.
00:50:49 I'm going to actually say Max is so crazy in love with you that he has a can of soup
00:50:54 that he refuses to eat because your face is on it.
00:50:58 That's probably better, right?
00:50:59 Our producer Max wears your face on his shirt like 90% of the days.
00:51:03 And kind of on his own face.
00:51:05 Yeah.
00:51:06 I just want, yeah, yes.
00:51:09 He wants to be you.
00:51:10 That is correct.
00:51:11 Or at least inside you.
00:51:12 You want to remake face off?
00:51:13 Not inside.
00:51:14 Not inside.
00:51:15 No, Max, not like that.
00:51:16 I meant like you want to look like, you want your skin to look like his skin.
00:51:19 Inside and out, I would like to be like Jason Kelsey, if that makes sense.
00:51:22 But would you be inside him if offered?
00:51:25 No, stop this.
00:51:27 No, but Max, if we could, you're already doing this with the other Kelsey.
00:51:30 If we could take your brain right now.
00:51:31 No, I didn't say no.
00:51:33 And put it in Jason Kelsey's body and then you would just walk around with your brain.
00:51:37 But now you are Jason Kelsey.
00:51:39 Would you do it?
00:51:40 For like a day?
00:51:42 I'll say it.
00:51:43 You know what?
00:51:44 I'll say it.
00:51:45 I don't believe that Max is actually a fan of Jason Kelsey until I see video proof of
00:51:49 Jason Kelsey inside of Max.
00:51:51 Yeah.
00:51:52 That's fair.
00:51:53 That's fair.
00:51:54 That's fair.
00:51:55 We're going to get on Paul.
00:51:56 So yeah, this is bullshit guys.
00:51:59 You're ruining the met him before.
00:52:01 We've hung out with that.
00:52:02 That's that also sucks.
00:52:03 And we were supposed to hang out in the summer.
00:52:05 I know beer Olympics, which we will not.
00:52:08 We'll know.
00:52:09 I don't want to say we will not.
00:52:10 I don't think we're backing out.
00:52:11 We can't back out.
00:52:12 I don't think we're going to.
00:52:14 I don't think we're probably not going to back out of it.
00:52:16 Will we?
00:52:17 I don't know.
00:52:18 Can we?
00:52:19 No.
00:52:20 We're definitely, we're definitely maybe not going to back out.
00:52:23 It's going to be so hot in Vegas.
00:52:26 Yeah.
00:52:27 It's like it's during the week.
00:52:30 And we're kind of closer with Jason Kelsey now than we are with Will and Taylor and they
00:52:35 backed out.
00:52:36 Yeah.
00:52:37 But I mean, we, we told him that we do it when they told us it was different days.
00:52:42 Yeah.
00:52:43 We can't back out.
00:52:44 Right.
00:52:45 Hank.
00:52:46 Hank, should we?
00:52:47 We can't.
00:52:48 We can't back out.
00:52:49 No, we won't.
00:52:50 No, we can't.
00:52:52 Nah.
00:52:53 Nah.
00:52:54 I will be there no matter what.
00:52:55 Yeah.
00:52:56 We can't.
00:52:57 We're going to golf.
00:52:58 Yeah, we're going to golf.
00:52:59 We're going to golf.
00:53:00 It's going to be so hot.
00:53:01 It's going to be so hot.
00:53:02 We're going to golf at four in the morning.
00:53:04 We'll be fine.
00:53:05 I never thought it would be this hard to get us out to Vegas to gamble in a casino where
00:53:11 you literally can't lose.
00:53:13 Well, I think the part where you and I have to compete against a bunch of NFL offensive
00:53:18 linemen.
00:53:19 Well, not you're drinking, not Jason Kelsey.
00:53:22 True.
00:53:23 He's not really an NFL offensive lineman.
00:53:25 He's more just good friends of ours.
00:53:27 Yeah.
00:53:28 My buddy.
00:53:29 Yeah.
00:53:30 My buddy, JK and soon to be inside of max.
00:53:31 Yeah.
00:53:32 He was on stage at a Mount Joy concert.
00:53:33 I was showing PFT.
00:53:34 That was cool.
00:53:35 That was all you were just showing.
00:53:37 You were showing PFT pictures of Jason.
00:53:39 No, he was, it was a video.
00:53:40 He played a video.
00:53:41 You know, those people that are in the crowd during, during rock shows, they have their
00:53:45 phones out and they're recording it and they're like, what are these people recording it for?
00:53:48 They're going to go back and watch it later.
00:53:49 No, they're recording it so they can get posted online.
00:53:52 Then max can show me his phone of somebody doing so max, you basically did like here.
00:53:56 You want to see a picture of my kids, but it was Jason Kelsey at a concert.
00:54:00 It was cool.
00:54:01 I thought I asked BFT if he was a Mount Joy fan.
00:54:04 Also love Mount Joy.
00:54:05 Mount Joy rocks.
00:54:06 Yeah.
00:54:07 A good band.
00:54:08 And Jason Kelsey approved and Jason Kelsey approved, which means us approved to us approved
00:54:12 as well.
00:54:13 The thing about us, we have so much in common with Jason.
00:54:14 That's right.
00:54:15 That's a fact.
00:54:16 Okay.
00:54:17 So we have a great opening to the show.
00:54:18 We have Kendrick Perkins, awesome interview with perk, and then we have fire fest, uh,
00:54:23 four way cause memes and Jake are both, uh, out.
00:54:26 So max chips into fire fest and Hank, Hank is in one.
00:54:31 He's in a pickle.
00:54:32 He's in a pickle on fire fest.
00:54:34 So let's kick it to ourselves with Kendrick Perkins.
00:54:37 Okay.
00:54:39 Before we get to Kendrick Perkins, a quick word from our friends at Uber eats.
00:54:44 You can get almost almost anything at Uber eats.
00:54:47 All players are here and you can now get almost anything you need for game day.
00:54:51 Deliver with Uber eats.
00:54:52 What do we mean by almost?
00:54:53 Well, you can't get a deep bench delivered, but you can get deep dish pizza delivered
00:54:57 along with bread sticks and wings to share a layup.
00:55:00 No can do, but a logger yes can do.
00:55:03 We can even deliver a few six packs.
00:55:05 If you plan on hosting the watch party three pointer, you're on your own three cheese dip.
00:55:10 It's on its way.
00:55:11 Buckets can help you out there, but a bucket of chicken.
00:55:15 So Uber eats a game going in OT no, but a delivery of TP yes, absolutely.
00:55:20 A big play.
00:55:21 Nope.
00:55:22 Paper plates.
00:55:23 Yup.
00:55:24 And you can even get a pack of napkins to go with it.
00:55:25 A championship.
00:55:26 Unfortunately no, but a French dip.
00:55:28 Now that's a yes.
00:55:30 So no matter what you need to make it through the postseason, get almost almost anything
00:55:33 delivered with Uber eats.

00:56:08 Okay.
00:56:09 Here he is.
00:56:10 Kendrick Perkins.
00:56:11 Okay.
00:56:12 So we now welcome on a very special guest, recurring guest.
00:56:15 He is an NBA champion.
00:56:17 You can see him on ESPN all the time.
00:56:19 He's got some spicy takes.
00:56:21 We want to get to talk some NBA playoffs.
00:56:24 It is Kendrick Perkins.
00:56:25 Perk, great to have you on.
00:56:28 We're watching the Celtics fourth quarter right now.
00:56:31 So we will have some questions about this game after the game.
00:56:35 But I wanted to start with the series that everyone's going to watch.
00:56:38 We're going to air this obviously on Friday.
00:56:40 Everyone's going to watch tonight as they're listening to this, the Nuggets and the Wolves.
00:56:45 And you are the guy who said that Anthony Edwards reminds you of Michael Jordan.
00:56:49 I think it was you and Pat Bev.
00:56:51 But what, when you watch this Wolves team, are like, has it clicked?
00:56:56 Like, Hey, this team can win it all.
00:56:57 Like the way they're playing and they're so young and hungry.
00:57:00 What are you seeing?
00:57:01 Well, well, one, appreciate you fellas for having me on.
00:57:06 Y'all continue to, to do a great job.
00:57:08 Because that's exactly what y'all doing it and y'all doing it y'all way.
00:57:11 That's first thing first.
00:57:12 Thank you.
00:57:13 Thank you.
00:57:14 When I look at the Minnesota Timberwolves, the number one thing that pokes out to me
00:57:19 is the togetherness.
00:57:21 The number two thing is they have a bunch of dogs.
00:57:24 Okay.
00:57:25 And it's led by Anthony Edwards.
00:57:28 And I said this, you know, in March that when it comes to the young up and coming superstars,
00:57:35 I've never seen a leader like him and he's the best young leader in the game of basketball.
00:57:41 And so when you look at their personnel, right, everybody was wondering last year, could call
00:57:46 Anthony Tiles and Rudy Goldberg.
00:57:49 Can they co-exist?
00:57:50 The answer is hell yeah.
00:57:52 Cause cats could, you know, stretch the floor.
00:57:55 So when I'm looking at their perimeter defense, before I even address the interior, I'm looking
00:58:00 at an old school Mike Conley who this year, this season, he was holding his opponents
00:58:06 to 31.
00:58:08 He was 31st in the league for his opponent field goal percentage.
00:58:12 J McDaniels, he was fourth in the league opponent field goal percentage.
00:58:17 Anthony Edwards, he was 10th in the league opponent field goal percentage.
00:58:21 Then you have Rudy down there who's ready to swat everything.
00:58:26 So when I'm looking at this team, I'm like, they don't give a damn who you are.
00:58:30 And when I started to watch the series against the Phoenix Suns and I'm watching Rudy and
00:58:36 call Anthony Tiles, go ahead, Kevin Durant on the perimeter and slide those puppies and
00:58:41 they switching out on the pig and rose.
00:58:43 I'm like, hold on, hold on.
00:58:45 Jimmy Butler couldn't pull this out of call Anthony Tiles when he was in Minnesota and
00:58:50 Donovan Mitchell couldn't pull this out of Rudy Goldberg.
00:58:54 And so I'm thinking about it and I'm like, man, this team is serious.
00:58:57 And then they get to the defending champs and they kick in their ass.
00:59:02 And the game two, real talk, game two was probably one of the greatest performances
00:59:10 defensively that I've ever seen in my damn life.
00:59:14 It was a clinic.
00:59:15 It was a clinic.
00:59:16 I love the way you say dogs.
00:59:18 I love the way you say dog.
00:59:19 And I love the way you say Goldberg.
00:59:20 It's like he's ice cold.
00:59:21 Yeah, it's Rudy Goldberg.
00:59:22 Yeah, Rudy Goldberg.
00:59:23 I got to say it was like a friend.
00:59:29 So it was a clinic.
00:59:30 So what if you're the Nuggets, what do they do?
00:59:33 Like what do you, if you're in that locker room, what is said after game two and what's
00:59:36 the fix?
00:59:37 It's nothing that you can say.
00:59:39 Either you got it in you or you don't.
00:59:43 I know Michael, Michael Malone was, he said something the other day.
00:59:47 I think it was yesterday that he said, Hey, we did the defending champs and I need guys
00:59:52 in this locker room who going to believe and go down to Minnesota and get a game three.
00:59:57 Well, it's easier said than done when you're dealing with a team that don't give a damn.
01:00:02 Right.
01:00:03 And Anthony Edwards followed up and he said, we know they're going to come in and give
01:00:06 us their best punch, but guess what?
01:00:08 We got a punch back.
01:00:10 And when you have, when you have that type of confidence, it's just on a different level.
01:00:15 I don't know if there's anything they can do.
01:00:19 Murray is not a hundred percent.
01:00:20 Jamal Murray is not a hundred percent.
01:00:22 He's dealing with injuries.
01:00:24 That's a bad, that's bad time.
01:00:25 And especially when you face a McDaniels, uh, Yoke, he's shooting 42% from the field
01:00:34 against Minnesota, call Anthony towns, Rudy and Nas read.
01:00:39 They ain't going nowhere.
01:00:40 So I don't know what else they can do.
01:00:42 Just think how important Jeff green and Bruce Brown was to this team last year.
01:00:47 They don't have them.
01:00:48 Yeah.
01:00:49 Yeah.
01:00:50 And so with the nuggets, you said there's not a lot that they can do.
01:00:52 The matchups are an issue for him and especially how they're making Yoke itch play in places.
01:00:56 He's a little bit uncomfortable.
01:00:57 Uh, I saw you, you referred to them.
01:00:59 I don't know if you said that they were babies, the nuggets, the B word, or if you said they
01:01:03 were playing like babies or acting like babies, but I have to have the, the T wolves turn
01:01:07 the nuggets into babies.
01:01:08 No, no, no, no.
01:01:09 I said, so this is, this is what I said.
01:01:14 I said the T wolves got them brought in like babies.
01:01:19 Okay.
01:01:20 So what I, what I said was, was that they, the Denver nuggets are doing all that damn
01:01:25 crying.
01:01:26 They got it with the babies go do.
01:01:27 If you're going to do all that damn crying with the babies go do.
01:01:30 If you go share it, all the tears they have Michael Malone whining to the referees, they
01:01:35 had Jamal Murray crying to the referees.
01:01:38 They had them uncomfortable.
01:01:39 Yeah, no, it was, it was, it was crazy to watch cause I don't really know.
01:01:45 I feel like the only fix the nuggets really have is they got to try to maybe play faster
01:01:49 and get, you know, some guys in foul trouble, but it does feel like it's a deep, the defense
01:01:55 from the wolves just bothers the nuggets to a level that we haven't seen.
01:01:58 And they also, when they got to play better, Yoka's is a three time MVP.
01:02:02 He's got to play better.
01:02:03 Michael Porter jr is makes like 30 plus million dollars a year.
01:02:06 He's got to play better.
01:02:07 Like they, they all, they've been tested for the first time in the last year and a half
01:02:12 and how they answered this test will tell you a lot.
01:02:14 It was so they true character.
01:02:16 Yeah.
01:02:17 Right.
01:02:18 They got to be true character.
01:02:19 I mean, you never know what a part, what's their true character until they hit adversity.
01:02:23 Yeah.
01:02:24 Now all of a sudden Jamal Murray throwing the heat pack on the down floor.
01:02:28 Yeah.
01:02:29 Yeah.
01:02:30 It's just bad.
01:02:31 It's crazy to watch because of how easy it is seen for them in the last year and a half,
01:02:35 really two years they've been coming on like this.
01:02:38 Also out West Oklahoma city, you used a term that I really like about the Oklahoma city
01:02:42 thunder.
01:02:43 We, we like watching them play.
01:02:44 They're fun.
01:02:45 You said that they play agenda free basketball in Oklahoma city.
01:02:49 Can you, can you describe what agenda free basketball is and why it's beautiful to watch?
01:02:53 Well, I'll tell you, it's not the same type of basketball you watch from the Detroit Pistons
01:02:58 or the Washington Wizards.
01:03:00 It's the complete opposite of that.
01:03:02 Right.
01:03:03 Agenda free basketball is when you watch a team pass up good shots to get great shots.
01:03:09 Right.
01:03:10 And you don't see that in a lot of young teams because everybody want to be the hero.
01:03:14 When you're watching a team, guys pass up from actually getting the actual assist to
01:03:20 just getting the hockey assist, the pass that's going to lead to the assist.
01:03:25 Okay.
01:03:26 Defensively, you're watching a team that that's talking, loading up boxes and elbows, you
01:03:31 know, communicating switches, challenging everything at the basket.
01:03:36 That's agenda free basketball because they don't look at the box score to see what type
01:03:41 of numbers that they're putting up themselves.
01:03:44 They just, the only number that they care about is whether or not they win the game
01:03:48 or not.
01:03:49 And so when I watch them, it's just a beautiful thing to see because they're clamping up.
01:03:54 Luke Dorch is doing his thing and they encourage one another.
01:03:58 Let me tell you what you could tell when, especially in basketball, when a team is together
01:04:03 and they have no hidden agendas whatsoever.
01:04:07 Just watch the bench.
01:04:10 If you watch the bench, when the guys who are not in the game, if they up off the bench
01:04:14 and they're clapping in their room for their teammates, then you know that team is really,
01:04:19 really special and guys done lost themselves into the ball club.
01:04:23 You played on teams, I imagine that were agenda free and also teams that had agendas, that
01:04:29 had players that had their own agendas.
01:04:31 If you're on the bench and you're, you know, you're decide whether or not you're going
01:04:34 to get into the game, you're going to stand up, you're going to be a part of that action
01:04:37 on the sidelines.
01:04:38 What is it about the players on the team that make the guys on the bench respond or not
01:04:43 respond?
01:04:44 Well, I think, I think, you know, we respond to, and that's a great question because when
01:04:49 you're on the bench, you're always going to respond to what the average fan is not seeing,
01:04:57 right?
01:04:58 And that's the little things, whether, you know, and that's the things that is rehearsed
01:05:02 behind closed doors in the film room.
01:05:05 So if a guy is helping out another guy and he sees a rotation and he rotates and he get
01:05:11 a good contest or a great contest and he's on his high horse from leaving in the paint
01:05:16 and running out to the corner three to make a guy miss, that's going to get the bench
01:05:22 hype because we just went over this in the film room, right?
01:05:25 It may not mean much to, you know, a person who's looking for a highlight dunk or a crossover
01:05:32 step back, but it's everything to the guys that's sitting out, that's wearing the same
01:05:37 jersey as you, because we was in that same locker room with you watching film room and
01:05:42 knowing what the coach is preaching.
01:05:44 Now, if we see a guy that's trying to get his, then obviously, you know, the vibe is
01:05:54 different or we see, for example, if I'm a big man and I'm supposed to be talking to
01:05:59 coverage on the high pick and pick and roll and let my guard know that the screen is coming
01:06:04 and for my guard to force it left or force it right, and I don't do my job and my guard
01:06:09 get hit with a screen and not a ball handler comes off and he have a clean 15 foot pull
01:06:14 up jump shot without anything happening, then I'm not doing my job.
01:06:20 That means I'm not engaged.
01:06:21 That means I'm not focused.
01:06:23 Those are the little things that matter.
01:06:25 So the Thunder crowd is incredible.
01:06:28 We joke, they lead the league in wearing the t-shirt, the free t-shirt.
01:06:32 I didn't realize, but before the game, they have a t-shirt cam that basically shames everyone
01:06:38 who doesn't put on the t-shirt.
01:06:39 I like that.
01:06:40 They just go around and put on the t-shirt.
01:06:43 When you were playing there, because you were on the Thunder at a similar kind of point
01:06:48 where it's like a young team, a fun team going deep in the playoffs.
01:06:53 What is it like playing in Oklahoma city and especially for the opponent?
01:06:58 Is this a, I could curse on you.
01:07:00 Yeah, you can say whatever the fuck you want.
01:07:03 It was fucking unbelievable.
01:07:06 When I took, look, when you the motherfuckers in OKC, that city, that state embraces you
01:07:13 like no other.
01:07:15 Because you're in competition with nothing else except for colleges, but as far as on
01:07:20 a professional level, shit, it's just you.
01:07:24 It's just y'all.
01:07:25 Man, you know, just when you're doing things and you're winning, man, it's just a different
01:07:31 type of vibe.
01:07:32 Do y'all remember when, you know, that franchise got to Oklahoma?
01:07:39 They used to have that meter because it used to be so loud in there and it's a real thing.
01:07:45 I mean, literally feeding off the energy of the crowd.
01:07:48 And there's no disrespect to Boston because Boston was great.
01:07:51 I mean, they give you chills in the history.
01:07:54 But when that, when that city gets behind you and you're playing winning basketball
01:07:59 and they start to believe, oh, yeah, nothing like it does seem different.
01:08:04 Did you have an MVP vote?
01:08:06 Yeah, I did have the MVP.
01:08:08 And who did you vote for?
01:08:10 MVP?
01:08:11 I voted for SGA.
01:08:13 Yeah.
01:08:14 So you think he should have won MVP?
01:08:15 Yeah, I voted for Shay.
01:08:17 Listen, hear me out.
01:08:19 Shay, last year, first of all, Oklahoma didn't even make the playoffs.
01:08:25 They were the number, this year, they're the number one seed in the Western Conference.
01:08:29 OK, Shay is third in the league in scoring, averaging 30.
01:08:34 He's first in the league in steals.
01:08:36 He's shooting fucking 54 percent from the field as a shooting guard.
01:08:42 Do you realize that they have big men that doesn't shoot their percentage around the
01:08:47 rim?
01:08:48 OK.
01:08:49 And then the top of it all, when you look at it, it's like, damn, what else do we have
01:08:54 to do?
01:08:55 What else do we have to do?
01:08:56 He has the best record in a tough Western Conference, a tough Western Conference where
01:09:03 the ninth and tenth seed was 10, 11 games above 500.
01:09:08 And so, you know, you think about what he's doing with the second youngest team in the
01:09:12 NBA.
01:09:13 I mean, how does he not get the nod?
01:09:16 So many guys were deserving of it, OK?
01:09:19 Whether it was Luka, Jokic, even Jalen Bronson, Anthony Edwards.
01:09:27 So many guys could have won the award, but I just thought what the SGA did and how he
01:09:31 carried this team and brought this team along, I was like, he's for sure deserving of the
01:09:36 MVP.
01:09:37 Yeah, he's had an incredible, incredible season.
01:09:39 So we're watching, I think we can safely say the Celtics game is over.
01:09:43 There's a minute left.
01:09:44 There's a minute left.
01:09:45 You've gotten absolutely smoked by the Cavs.
01:09:48 Our producer Hank here sitting on the couch, he's a diehard Celtics fan.
01:09:52 He loves you.
01:09:54 But what do you say to him and to the Celtics?
01:09:57 Because this is, the Celtics are still the best team in the East.
01:10:01 One game doesn't change it.
01:10:02 But you can also say at the same time, when they look bad, it looks so bad.
01:10:08 Hey, first of all, fix your body language, OK?
01:10:11 It's going to be OK.
01:10:12 Fix your body language over there.
01:10:13 He's sitting up.
01:10:14 All right, there we go.
01:10:15 There we go.
01:10:16 Go ahead and sit up.
01:10:17 Look, I'm happy that the Celtics lost.
01:10:21 You know why?
01:10:22 Because they need this.
01:10:23 They need to be able to face adversity.
01:10:25 They need to be able to weather some storms, right?
01:10:28 The only thing that I hate about it is that they worked so hard all season long to establish
01:10:36 a place of dominance in their home arena that don't lose games at home, right?
01:10:42 That's supposed to be a place where teams is like, you know what, man, we coming up
01:10:47 in here and nowhere in hell we could get a win.
01:10:50 I just think about that 2008 season.
01:10:53 Us having home court advantage actually was the key reason why we, the number one reason
01:10:58 why we won the NBA championship.
01:11:01 It was the number one reason.
01:11:03 Because we knew once we got you back to the garden, we was going to spank that ass.
01:11:08 And we did that.
01:11:09 But the Celtics need this.
01:11:10 The Celtics need this because now you can expect a different version of the Boston Celtics
01:11:16 come game three.
01:11:17 And it's going to get them prepared for the long haul.
01:11:20 And that's winning it all.
01:11:21 Let's go, Hank.
01:11:22 Spank that ass.
01:11:23 Spank that ass.
01:11:24 What is it though?
01:11:26 They have weirdly struggled at home in the last two years or three years, I think it
01:11:31 is like they're about 500 in the playoffs at home.
01:11:34 What is that?
01:11:35 I don't know.
01:11:36 It almost feel like they don't have a sense of urgency at times and they get too relaxed.
01:11:40 But that comes with the best player on their team and Jason Taylor.
01:11:45 Right?
01:11:46 Like he got to have that motor of being consistent.
01:11:51 Right?
01:11:52 Of I'm going to apply pressure every single time.
01:11:55 Paul Pierce, you know, a lot of people used to give so much credit to Kevin Garnett, KG,
01:12:01 the big ticket and rightfully so.
01:12:03 But Paul Pierce took it so personal when somebody, a matchup came into his house.
01:12:09 Whether it was LeBron, Kobe, you know, Joe Johnson, whoever it was, he took it personal.
01:12:15 It was like not nil.
01:12:17 And that's what Tatum got to start doing.
01:12:19 You can't let people walk in your house without taking their shoes off and then kick their
01:12:23 feet up on your coffee table and tell you to get them something to drink.
01:12:27 Come on, Hank.
01:12:28 Fair point, Hank.
01:12:29 You're letting them just walk all over your house.
01:12:30 You're getting the Cavs a bottle of wine.
01:12:32 You're opening up a fresh bottle of red for the Cavs.
01:12:34 And Hank, he gets so down on himself.
01:12:37 He doesn't stay, you know-
01:12:38 It's a seven game series, brother.
01:12:40 As a fact, you did.
01:12:41 I did see you say after game one, it was like dominant performance from the Celtics, Celtics
01:12:46 and six.
01:12:47 Yeah.
01:12:48 Surprised me.
01:12:49 Yeah.
01:12:50 Yeah.
01:12:51 So the Cavs play basketball.
01:12:52 They get paid to play too.
01:12:53 Yeah.
01:12:54 You won't lose games in the playoffs.
01:12:55 It's okay.
01:12:56 Okay.
01:12:57 Yeah.
01:12:58 You'll be okay, Hank.
01:12:59 See, Hank had expectations going into this series that they were going to win by a cumulative
01:13:02 score of a hundred points.
01:13:03 So they-
01:13:04 Still in play.
01:13:05 They were going to win four games by 25 points.
01:13:07 How much did you lose by?
01:13:08 Was it 25?
01:13:09 Did you lose by 25 points tonight, Hank?
01:13:10 No, I think they lost by 24.
01:13:11 All right.
01:13:12 So we're plus one.
01:13:13 You're plus one.
01:13:14 Plus one.
01:13:15 Three 30 pieces.
01:13:16 You got some make-
01:13:17 Yeah, you're fine.
01:13:18 Perk, do you think that there's-
01:13:19 Yeah, Hank, you're okay.
01:13:20 You think that the Celtics kind of missed Marcus Smart, kind of missed that edge?
01:13:25 I mean, that's to be determined, right?
01:13:29 Like, they got to complete the mission in order for me to say that.
01:13:33 But again, they gave up Marcus Smart to get Hoops.
01:13:36 I mean, it's a fair point.
01:13:37 I think that-
01:13:38 But what I'm saying, they gave up Marcus Smart to get Cristal Prezincas.
01:13:45 Am I right?
01:13:47 Yep.
01:13:48 Okay.
01:13:49 The one concern that I have for the Boston Celtics is, can Cristal Prezincas be healthy
01:13:56 for four seven-game series?
01:14:00 And right now, the answer is no.
01:14:03 They're going to need him.
01:14:04 They can't win at all unless they have him, and he got to be healthy.
01:14:08 Yeah.
01:14:09 So, speaking of health, the Knicks, who have been electric these playoffs, your guy, Big
01:14:15 Body Brunson, that's what you've given him his nickname.
01:14:17 Love that nickname.
01:14:19 But now, I feel like they got no one left.
01:14:22 It's crazy.
01:14:23 Mitchell Robinson's out.
01:14:25 OG is out for game three.
01:14:28 Questionable for Jalen Brunson.
01:14:30 At what point is it like they're just losing too many guys?
01:14:33 I know they're up 2-0, but it feels like, especially with their bench, they're just
01:14:37 running out of bodies.
01:14:38 I mean, they are, and it's unfortunate.
01:14:41 As far as making a run, when you're trying to make a real championship run, you need
01:14:46 a lot of luck, and that includes being healthy.
01:14:50 But last night, Tom Thibodeau did a post, well, an in-game interview, and they asked
01:14:56 him about OG and Nobby.
01:14:58 And before he turned off with that snarl and that fucking attitude, he said, "Next man
01:15:04 up."
01:15:05 That's been their mentality all season long.
01:15:08 You got to realize, man, when it comes to Dante, Big Body Brunson, and Josh Hart, those
01:15:18 guys were grooming right from Villanova.
01:15:21 They know how to play the game the right way.
01:15:23 They know how to compete at a high level.
01:15:26 So those three have a different type of confidence that when they step on the floor together,
01:15:31 they feel like they can compete and beat anyone in the league, and they have shown us that.
01:15:36 And they feel like they can make anybody around them better.
01:15:39 We're watching Isael Hardenstein.
01:15:42 He's going out there doing his thing, almost had a triple-double last night.
01:15:46 You're watching McBride come in off the bench in spurts and have big moments, being aggressive.
01:15:53 And when you have that type of leadership, you're capable of winning any type of game.
01:16:00 - In terms of Rick Carlisle and his comments after, do you think those were baby comments?
01:16:06 Because I feel like that was a little too much crying.
01:16:09 I understand trying to work the refs.
01:16:11 - Thank you.
01:16:12 Thank you.
01:16:13 - But that was too much.
01:16:14 Don't give up 130 to a Knicks team that has four guys.
01:16:18 - Now you preaching.
01:16:19 Now you preaching.
01:16:20 Now again, look, you're mad at the refs, right, for reversing a call that it wasn't a double-dribble.
01:16:28 But you're not mad at yourself, right?
01:16:31 You're not mad at yourself.
01:16:33 Look, my grandmother, I love her to death.
01:16:36 She got Alzheimer's, right?
01:16:37 And, you know, it's part of life.
01:16:39 But she wouldn't remember to put TJ McCartney back in the game.
01:16:43 Damn, Rick Carlisle, you didn't forget.
01:16:46 Not one time.
01:16:47 You forgot twice.
01:16:48 You didn't put him back in the fourth quarter for game one, and you didn't put him back
01:16:52 in the fourth quarter for game two.
01:16:54 He has been probably their best player to guard Jay LeBronson.
01:17:00 And Jay LeBronson has been having it his way in the fourth quarter.
01:17:04 You didn't even think about putting him back in.
01:17:06 And on top of that, listen, I understand the Knicks, their mindset, the way that they attack
01:17:15 the offensive glass, but you're not going to say nothing about the offensive rebounds,
01:17:20 especially late in the fourth quarter.
01:17:23 Like it's things that he needs to be worried about and addressing for us with his team,
01:17:28 then he'll be crying about the officials.
01:17:30 And then the last thing, the small market BS.
01:17:35 Dallas and Oklahoma City playing against each other, right?
01:17:39 Minnesota playing, huh?
01:17:41 So what is he talking about?
01:17:42 Small market teams want to find opportunity as well.
01:17:45 You got your change.
01:17:46 Yeah.
01:17:47 You up double figures.
01:17:48 It's loser talk.
01:17:49 It's like, I'm a loser.
01:17:51 Big cat.
01:17:52 Our team stink.
01:17:53 We're very familiar with loser talk.
01:17:55 Anytime you send your video staff to make a compilation of 78 missed calls and then
01:17:59 send them to the NBA, like it's going to do anything like that.
01:18:03 That envelope is probably not even going to get opened, but you had your video.
01:18:07 You got your video staff sit down for hours and make a compilation of missed calls.
01:18:11 That to me seems like you're fighting a losing battle and you're spending a lot too much
01:18:16 energy fighting that loser.
01:18:18 Yes.
01:18:19 Yeah.
01:18:20 We're going to get back to Perk in a second.
01:18:22 He's brought to you by part of my cheesesteak.
01:18:23 I love part of my cheesesteak.
01:18:25 It's delicious.
01:18:26 We ate a bunch from the other week.
01:18:27 I'm going to get some this weekend actually.
01:18:28 Saturday is a cheesesteak day.
01:18:29 Yes.
01:18:30 A lot of good sports on TV.
01:18:31 I'm going to treat myself to part of my cheesesteak.
01:18:34 It's a pickup and delivery only restaurant bringing you craveable cheesesteaks, tenders,
01:18:38 loaded fries and desserts for lunch, dinner and late night.
01:18:40 Hank, I know you've been working out a lot.
01:18:42 Max, I know you've been working out a lot.
01:18:43 Big Cat, have you been working out?
01:18:44 I have.
01:18:45 So it's workout season.
01:18:47 That sounds legit.
01:18:48 Big Cat, you've been working out a lot, right?
01:18:50 I have.
01:18:51 Yeah.
01:18:52 So we've all been working out.
01:18:53 Part of my cheesesteak has twice the protein of other cheesesteaks.
01:18:57 I'm just going to say, they've got better protein.
01:18:59 I don't know if it's twice.
01:19:00 Their protein is better.
01:19:01 They got the best protein in the world.
01:19:03 If you're going to be working out, eat a part of my cheesesteak.
01:19:05 Get those gains in.
01:19:06 That's a PFT guarantee.
01:19:08 Facts.
01:19:09 I'm going to be eating part of my cheesesteak to get swole.
01:19:11 It might just be me though.
01:19:12 You can order the Big Cat combo, get your cheesesteak of choice, fries and a drink or
01:19:15 get the Max Special.
01:19:17 That's two sodas.
01:19:18 In participating locations, they got Buffalo chicken, Chipotle chicken, Chipotle regular
01:19:23 cheesesteaks and chicken bacon ranch cheesesteaks.
01:19:25 Over 1500 locations nationwide.
01:19:28 Find a part of my cheesesteak near you and order yours on Uber Eats.
01:19:33 And now here's more perk.
01:19:36 Do you have any animosity towards Rick Carlisle for the two free throws he made you take like
01:19:40 15 years ago?
01:19:42 And how much did that suck?
01:19:43 So for people who don't know, it was Paul Pierce got kicked out of a game, but he had
01:19:47 two free throws.
01:19:49 And then the opposing team gets to pick whoever they want on the other bench and they picked
01:19:54 you and you missed them both.
01:19:56 Did that, when you had to come in cold off the bench, were you like, fuck, this is going
01:20:01 to suck?
01:20:02 As a youngster and I'm standing at the free throw line on the road by myself.
01:20:08 And for us, like with that situation, I at least wanted to see the first one go in.
01:20:13 It would have gave me hope to make the next one.
01:20:16 But I wasn't mad at Rick Carlisle about that.
01:20:18 You know what I mean?
01:20:19 I thought it was pretty fucked up.
01:20:21 He picked on me, but it is what it is.
01:20:23 But it's no beef.
01:20:24 It's no beef.
01:20:25 I actually showed Rick Carlisle, I actually showed him a lot of love over the season for
01:20:32 being able to make that transition.
01:20:35 Because remember, a lot of his players from Dallas didn't have a lot of positive things
01:20:39 to say about him.
01:20:40 Right?
01:20:41 They didn't have a lot of positive things to say about him.
01:20:44 So when he got to Indiana, he started to adjust his coaching style, letting those guys play.
01:20:50 So you know, it's all love.
01:20:51 I just wish he stopped that damn crime.
01:20:53 Yeah, I would hold a grudge if I were you.
01:20:56 I'd be like, that was, it was embarrassing.
01:20:57 You made me stand out there all by myself and shoot free throws.
01:21:00 That's like, that's most people's worst nightmare.
01:21:02 Yeah, picking you off the bench.
01:21:03 That's fucked up.
01:21:04 You brought up the finals that you played in.
01:21:06 What about the other finals when you, you unfortunately injured your knee?
01:21:10 Do you think you guys win that series if you don't get hurt?
01:21:13 Absolutely.
01:21:14 Look, I started five, never lost the playoff series when everyone was healthy.
01:21:20 That's a fact.
01:21:21 That's a fact.
01:21:22 You know, and I mean, you know, at the end of the day, we still should have won that
01:21:26 game.
01:21:27 We were up 14 points going into the fourth quarter and a couple breakdowns.
01:21:34 Guys were fatigued and all of a sudden, you know, Ron Artest goes for 20 and 10.
01:21:40 The on song hero, I believe Kobe Bryant, walk out the game with like 15, 16 rebounds because
01:21:47 whoever dominated the glass in that particular game and in that series, in that, whoever
01:21:54 dominated the glass in those games, won the basketball game.
01:21:59 That's who won the series.
01:22:00 Yeah, yeah.
01:22:01 They missed you.
01:22:02 Yeah.
01:22:03 Um, all right.
01:22:04 So I want to get some of your spicy takes that you got going right now.
01:22:06 You think LeBron James should retire?
01:22:08 See, you know what?
01:22:10 Let's have it.
01:22:11 Let's have an intelligent conversation.
01:22:12 Let's do it.
01:22:13 I agree with your take, by the way.
01:22:15 Oh, I don't want to have.
01:22:16 Okay.
01:22:17 So I was, I was following up on my big brother, Michael Wilburn.
01:22:23 Okay.
01:22:24 So we know that Wilburn believes that Michael Jordan is the goal, right?
01:22:29 And Wilburn went on a rant talking about the fire in the dog and how, and how LeBron and
01:22:37 AD lack accountability.
01:22:40 So I went on first take with Stephen A and the topic was brought up about the topic was
01:22:46 LeBron James, 10 head coaches and 21 years, right?
01:22:52 Does that like, you know, basically does it say something about LeBron James having 10
01:22:57 coaches?
01:22:58 And I'm like, it does.
01:23:00 And I'm like, I wish he would, would retire because at this point I'm looking at what
01:23:06 else is it for LeBron to accomplish?
01:23:09 He have nothing else to accomplish because even if he wins another championship, he still
01:23:14 don't have six.
01:23:15 So the MJ, uh, people out there in the world still going to say, MJ got six.
01:23:21 Okay.
01:23:22 So you're playing in every single season that you're playing and that you don't win a championship
01:23:28 because the expectations when you're in the Laker uniform, especially if you're LeBron
01:23:33 playing at an elite level, it's going to be what championships.
01:23:37 I don't give a damn if he's in a wheelchair, it's going to be championships.
01:23:41 And so every single season that you don't win, then you give more animosity or more,
01:23:48 you know, arguments to come at you about the, the goat debate.
01:23:53 And I wasn't attacking LeBron legacy or saying like his legacy.
01:23:56 We know he's the all time leading scorer in NBA history.
01:24:00 We know he hit 40,000 points, but when it comes down to his legacy, his legacy now is
01:24:05 measured on the goat conversation.
01:24:08 I liked that.
01:24:09 I love the firing of the firing of Durbin ham does not look good on him.
01:24:13 I like that take though, because it's saying that if LeBron James continues to play basketball,
01:24:17 even at a high level, he's just proving all the people out there that are haters.
01:24:22 Yeah, you're right.
01:24:23 He's not MJ.
01:24:25 Thank you.
01:24:26 It's so weird.
01:24:27 So weird situation.
01:24:28 Yeah.
01:24:29 But, but listen, even, even if I couldn't find and I wanted to so bad, I couldn't defend
01:24:36 them.
01:24:37 I couldn't go in my brother, Wilborn or Steven, they about that particular matter.
01:24:42 They were right.
01:24:43 I had to agree with him.
01:24:44 I couldn't lie.
01:24:45 Yeah.
01:24:46 I love it when you're talking to mad dog, when, when you have a segment with him, do
01:24:48 you have to go back to like a basketball almanac back to like 1963 and get some, get some stats
01:24:54 ready for him?
01:24:55 I only been on twice with mad dog and I don't give him an opportunity to go back there for,
01:25:02 but I, I must say, what are you mad about?
01:25:06 Those rents are legend or legendary.
01:25:09 Even when I'm not on, I want to listen to this shit.
01:25:12 Yeah.
01:25:13 He's very talented.
01:25:14 He's incredible.
01:25:15 Um, what I think we, I think we agree because you're obviously an NBA guy, but we, uh, we're
01:25:20 four football guys and we thought the hypothetical about the NBA, NFL thing was stupid.
01:25:26 And there's no NFL players that if you said they had to do it in the next month, there's
01:25:31 no NFL players that could go and play in the, in the NBA in the next month.
01:25:35 I like, I think maybe no one will just agree on this hypothetical.
01:25:39 That's just why it exists and why we do it every couple of years.
01:25:42 But um, do you think there's some NBA guys who could play in the NFL?
01:25:45 I think it's very small.
01:25:46 I don't think it's 30.
01:25:48 I think Austin Rivers is a little too, too much with that.
01:25:50 But I also think there's zero NFL guys who could play in the NBA next month.
01:25:55 How did we get here?
01:25:57 It's a lie argument.
01:25:58 We should have done it in July.
01:25:59 Right, right.
01:26:00 But, but you know what?
01:26:01 Look, I have a list.
01:26:03 I have five players.
01:26:04 I think I got six.
01:26:06 I did a big list today of five players.
01:26:08 I said, Marcus Smart, Anthony Edwards, Russell Westbrook, Jalen Suggs, and LeBron James.
01:26:19 Those five guys, I believe that could stop playing basketball right now and go find a
01:26:25 spot on the football field.
01:26:27 They had the mentality.
01:26:28 They still got the athleticism.
01:26:30 You know, they got the size.
01:26:32 They can go find a spot.
01:26:33 And I forgot one key person, Luke Dort.
01:26:35 Luke Dort could go find a spot as well.
01:26:38 That's it.
01:26:39 I couldn't really, like after that, I was like, ah, nah, he too soft.
01:26:44 He can't get it.
01:26:45 Yeah.
01:26:46 Like, but I was just like, you know, and Austin actually was supposed to be in today, but
01:26:50 he called in sick talking about his stomach was hurting or whatever the case may be.
01:26:54 So they're like, Perk, we need you to do the big list.
01:26:56 I'm like, it's not even my fight.
01:26:59 Yeah.
01:27:00 But I heard it.
01:27:01 Yeah.
01:27:02 So what do people get for, for again, this is never, no one's ever going to agree on
01:27:06 this.
01:27:07 Everyone's got their sides.
01:27:08 What would you say that people get wrong the most about current NBA and like the level
01:27:14 of skill and player that's in the NBA right now that like, if you would understand this,
01:27:19 you'd understand that it's, it's impossible for someone from the NFL to just show up and
01:27:23 be an NBA player.
01:27:25 Well, I think it's more so like the coordination part of it, being able to do a behind the
01:27:32 back between the legs, step back on a consistent basis at an efficient level.
01:27:38 Like, I think, you know, they take that for granted.
01:27:42 And it's, it's, it's the IQ of the game, right?
01:27:46 Being able to do it in that moment, right.
01:27:48 Being able to have a guy on your hip and, you know, come around and pick and roll, keep
01:27:54 them on your hip and split the, split the defender with a, with a crossover in between
01:27:59 and left hand scoop, like, like the coordination just on a, on a different level.
01:28:05 But I don't, I don't want, I look, I don't want no smoke with any of the football guys.
01:28:09 Okay.
01:28:10 Big swag, Google and JJ wide and you know, miles Garrett.
01:28:15 I look, man, we all cool.
01:28:17 Big perk, cool band.
01:28:18 I respect everything that y'all are out there doing on the football field.
01:28:22 I want no smoke.
01:28:23 Yeah.
01:28:24 I feel like you could have played though.
01:28:25 You would have been the answer to that question back in like 2008.
01:28:28 Yeah.
01:28:29 Hey, I'm telling you, tiny in the DM.
01:28:31 I was a problem.
01:28:32 I was a problem.
01:28:33 I Texas football, baby.
01:28:34 Yeah.
01:28:35 Friday night light.
01:28:36 I also think it's a, and I understand it.
01:28:40 NFL players get, uh, they're upset because they think like their toughness is being questioned.
01:28:45 No one, no one ever questions the toughness of it.
01:28:48 Being in the NFL is an insane thing to be able to do.
01:28:52 And that's why I thought like maybe a couple guys like there, there are a lot of guys in
01:28:56 the NBA that if they got hit, they would be like no Moss instantly.
01:29:00 Yeah.
01:29:01 For sure.
01:29:02 Yeah.
01:29:03 For sure.
01:29:04 I mean they, they know Mars instantly right now in the NBA, let alone the NFL.
01:29:09 Yeah.
01:29:10 They would not like Anthony Davis.
01:29:11 It would not like going to training camp and getting hit and training camp for sure.
01:29:14 It's a guarantee you had, so you had Suggs number one, right?
01:29:17 Jalen Suggs.
01:29:18 Is that because his, he's got cousins, right?
01:29:20 Terrell Suggs is his cousin.
01:29:22 No, you better check Jalen Suggs.
01:29:25 Yeah.
01:29:26 He was Mr. Football in Minnesota.
01:29:28 Was he real?
01:29:29 Yeah.
01:29:30 Yeah.
01:29:31 He was running for the Boston yards.
01:29:32 I believe 600 rushing yards through for 12 touchdowns.
01:29:35 He was really good.
01:29:36 Yeah.
01:29:37 He was really good.
01:29:38 He was recruited by Ohio state and the breast.
01:29:40 Okay.
01:29:41 No, he was really, really good.
01:29:42 And Terrell Suggs is second cousin too.
01:29:44 There we go.
01:29:45 Oh, okay.
01:29:46 Good list.
01:29:47 I know Giannis on the list.
01:29:49 Um, yeah, I don't know.
01:29:53 I like once you start getting to that level of being like six, eight and above, I got
01:29:58 to see footage on.
01:29:59 Yeah.
01:30:00 I saw LeBron James play football in high school.
01:30:03 I saw what he did in Ohio.
01:30:05 Like I ain't seen Giannis play football.
01:30:07 I don't know.
01:30:08 I don't know if he could play receive and catch.
01:30:11 I don't know.
01:30:12 Yeah.
01:30:13 Somebody else tweeted me a really good idea.
01:30:14 I thought for that debate, which was a Wimby under center on the goal line.
01:30:19 Just snap it to me.
01:30:20 He sticks his arms out.
01:30:21 It's a touchdown.
01:30:22 It's like the Drew Brees, except you don't have to jump.
01:30:24 Yeah.
01:30:25 Yeah.
01:30:26 Not a bad idea.
01:30:27 So who do you have?
01:30:28 Who do you have in the finals and who's your champion this postseason?
01:30:30 So I got the Celtics coming out of the east.
01:30:33 I got the Minnesota Timberwolves coming out of the west and I got Anthony Edwards finals
01:30:39 MVP, Minnesota taking it all at 22 would be quite something.
01:30:45 Yeah.
01:30:46 But he got an old soul.
01:30:48 Yeah.
01:30:49 He got an old soul.
01:30:50 He does.
01:30:51 He he's different.
01:30:52 He's different.
01:30:53 Don't don't he make you like don't he he make you look forward to watching basketball when
01:30:58 he plays?
01:30:59 Oh yeah.
01:31:00 I'm going to watch it tomorrow.
01:31:01 Yeah.
01:31:02 I was I was upset when game two ended because I said, damn, I got to wait all the way to
01:31:06 Friday to watch this man.
01:31:08 Yeah.
01:31:09 No, I've been saying that all playoffs, like when it's not an Anthony Edwards night, I'm
01:31:12 kind of bummed out.
01:31:13 I'm like, well, what the hell?
01:31:15 Like yeah, I'll watch these games, but I wish Anthony Edwards was playing in it.
01:31:19 Would be nice.
01:31:20 Hey, I got a dumb question for you.
01:31:22 Uh, Kendrick Lamar versus Drake.
01:31:24 Do you have to take Kendrick side just because of the name?
01:31:27 No.
01:31:29 But I actually like Drake delivery belt.
01:31:32 I think I think Drake came, you know, the way he the way he put what he put into it,
01:31:38 like with Kendrick Lamar, I kind of got to be like, oh, let me put it on.
01:31:41 Let me repeat.
01:31:42 Listen to this again.
01:31:43 I kind of get lost.
01:31:44 But Drake kind of, you know, he simplified for you.
01:31:48 He shoot it out, you know, and do what he do.
01:31:52 I just hope that it ends.
01:31:53 Yeah.
01:31:54 I'm like, when is it going to stop?
01:31:55 Okay, the first like the first one, Drake shot out there.
01:32:00 Kendrick responded.
01:32:01 Drake was funny.
01:32:02 Kendrick was fun.
01:32:03 And I'm like, is this about to be an all summer thing?
01:32:05 Cause I don't have time for this.
01:32:07 They're both going to accidentally do an album.
01:32:09 Yeah.
01:32:10 Whoops.
01:32:11 Kendrick's just going to keep going after me.
01:32:13 I think just like every week.
01:32:14 Yeah.
01:32:15 Drake.
01:32:16 So I just thought maybe because, you know, Kendrick is somewhat unique name.
01:32:18 Like you just be like, I got to ride with Kendrick's no matter what.
01:32:21 No, no, no.
01:32:23 Okay.
01:32:24 Excellent.
01:32:25 I'm trying to shy away from the name Kendrick and get called Perk.
01:32:27 Yeah.
01:32:28 Perks good.
01:32:29 I like the name Kendrick though.
01:32:30 Perk has no negative connotations to it.
01:32:33 Yeah.
01:32:34 Okay.
01:32:35 Perk, we love having you on this.
01:32:38 Always so much fun whenever you're on.
01:32:39 I had one last question for you.
01:32:41 It's a row back question.
01:32:42 RHOBACK.com promo code take 20% off your first purchase.
01:32:46 Q-Zips, polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts, rowback.com 20% off.
01:32:51 So my last question is, and this is maybe just an excuse to get to hear you say the
01:32:55 word dog again.
01:32:57 Can you give us your top three dogs right now in the NBA?
01:33:01 Oh, that's a great.
01:33:03 Okay.
01:33:04 Great.
01:33:05 Yeah.
01:33:06 Well, number one is going to be Anthony Edwards.
01:33:09 Yeah.
01:33:10 Rock Wiley.
01:33:11 Rock Wiley.
01:33:12 No teacup poodles.
01:33:13 Okay.
01:33:14 Rock Wiley.
01:33:15 Now it's a certain type of dog you got to be.
01:33:16 No teacup poodles.
01:33:17 All right.
01:33:18 I'm going to go.
01:33:20 I'm going to go.
01:33:21 Anthony Edwards.
01:33:22 I'm going to go.
01:33:24 Jalen Bronson.
01:33:26 Yeah.
01:33:27 Big body Bronson.
01:33:28 Six foot, not athletic, leading the playoffs and scoring.
01:33:32 You got to be some type of damn dog.
01:33:34 Damn it.
01:33:35 He's dead.
01:33:36 And number three, I got to go with Josh Hart.
01:33:41 Oh, okay.
01:33:42 So the Knicks lead the league in dogs.
01:33:44 Let me explain why.
01:33:45 Yeah.
01:33:46 Josh Hart done played what?
01:33:48 Four consecutive games without getting a minute risk.
01:33:53 Yeah.
01:33:54 And still when he lead the game, he still got more in the tank.
01:33:58 It's crazy.
01:33:59 He's the best rebounding guard in the playoffs.
01:34:05 Imagine averaging over 11 rebounds at 6'5" in today's game.
01:34:10 You got to have some type of, you know what I'm saying?
01:34:14 Some real dog in you.
01:34:16 Shit.
01:34:17 He had a walk and he bite.
01:34:20 For a guy that's 6'5" to average that many rebounds, is it more about his dog or is he
01:34:25 also like a sneaky smart play?
01:34:27 Is he an intelligent dog?
01:34:28 No, no, because he going to get that in traffic.
01:34:33 It's a difference if, you know, old Big's boxing out.
01:34:37 No.
01:34:38 When you're going to get offensive rebounds and snatching them in traffic, when you shoot
01:34:42 a free throw, when you shoot a free throw and you miss your own free throw and you go
01:34:47 get an offensive rebound and put it back, that's having a dog mentality.
01:34:52 There's nothing else past that.
01:34:54 Yeah.
01:34:55 Dog that plays in traffic.
01:34:56 So the Knicks lead the league in dogs.
01:34:57 I like that.
01:34:58 Yeah.
01:34:59 Yeah.
01:35:00 They got two dogs.
01:35:01 So I mean, think about it.
01:35:02 My top three dog, this is pretty damn good.
01:35:03 You got Anthony Elwes, who's undefeated in the postseason right now, right?
01:35:08 Who just knocked off Kevin Durant, told him about it.
01:35:12 Okay.
01:35:13 He told him about it.
01:35:14 Oh yeah.
01:35:15 You're my goat.
01:35:16 He told him about it.
01:35:17 He knocked him off.
01:35:18 Before the series, he said, Oh, everybody, you know, think that Bradley Bill and Devin
01:35:22 Booker are the best two guard in the league, but I feel like I am.
01:35:26 And when I did bust they ass, that's having a dog mentality.
01:35:30 And now he's telling the world, Oh, Yoke, yeah, we got to be on our P's and Q's.
01:35:34 He's the best player in the world.
01:35:36 And then he goes out when he's doing what he's doing right now to the devil of nuggets.
01:35:41 Yeah.
01:35:42 It's all facts.
01:35:43 Dogs.
01:35:44 And Jimmy Butler's like, he's a dog.
01:35:45 He's definitely a dog, but he's the dog that's like behind the fence and doesn't actually
01:35:48 have to get into the fight.
01:35:50 And he just does the barking.
01:35:52 Yeah.
01:35:53 Yeah.
01:35:54 But he, he in the dog house.
01:35:55 Yeah.
01:35:56 Dogs.
01:35:57 Yes.
01:35:58 He barked.
01:35:59 He barked from the house.
01:36:00 You got some of them dogs.
01:36:01 You go to your partner house or when you was younger, your friend house, your neighbor
01:36:05 house that have a dog barking, but he never come out the house.
01:36:08 Yeah.
01:36:09 His dog.
01:36:10 Yeah.
01:36:11 That's Jimmy right now.
01:36:12 You're walking by in the street and you're getting barked at.
01:36:13 Yeah.
01:36:14 Yeah.
01:36:15 Yeah.
01:36:16 All right.
01:36:17 Well, perk, thank you as always.
01:36:18 We love having you on man.
01:36:19 Um, you're the best and uh, good luck with the rest of the playoffs.
01:36:22 All the, all the shows you're doing, you working hard, you watch games.
01:36:26 I know you have that beat is the beef squashed with Chuck.
01:36:28 I mean, it wasn't no beef, you know, I just told the truth and they got no feelings about
01:36:33 it and I wasn't trying to take a shot at him.
01:36:36 It just came out naturally, you know, when they was talking about the Knicks and I was
01:36:40 like, they don't know a damn thing about the Knicks cause they don't really watch basketball.
01:36:44 Yeah.
01:36:45 And you know, whatever.
01:36:46 I got bigger things and other things to worry about, like actually focusing on the game
01:36:50 of basketball.
01:36:51 This is the most crucial time of the year.
01:36:53 Yeah.
01:36:54 Oh, I had one last question.
01:36:55 Um, you're, you're running mate.
01:36:57 I know it's a sensitive topic, but big baby Davis, he did, he actually said today that
01:37:01 he's going to be able to go to prison and not eat cheeseburgers.
01:37:03 So he's going to get in shape.
01:37:04 Do you still talk to him at all?
01:37:05 Yeah.
01:37:06 I actually talked to big baby about three days ago.
01:37:10 Yeah.
01:37:11 How's he doing?
01:37:12 Three days ago.
01:37:13 And it wasn't done.
01:37:14 I was on my own call, you know, checking in on him.
01:37:16 I ain't even asked him about the situation.
01:37:18 I knew he was dealing with it.
01:37:20 Um, but big baby man, he from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
01:37:24 He's going to handle that time.
01:37:25 He go, he go do the time.
01:37:26 The time ain't go do him.
01:37:27 Yeah.
01:37:28 Yeah.
01:37:29 Yeah.
01:37:30 And I mean, it is a great spin zone to be like, I'm probably just going to get in really
01:37:33 good shape.
01:37:34 Yeah.
01:37:35 I mean, he go, go do it and come on home.
01:37:37 Yeah.
01:37:38 Yeah.
01:37:39 Maybe make a comeback.
01:37:40 Read a few books.
01:37:41 Yeah.
01:37:42 Yeah.
01:37:43 Yeah.
01:37:44 Well, thank you again.
01:37:45 I know you got a crazy busy schedule.
01:37:46 We love having you on man.
01:37:47 I appreciate y'all fellas and keep up the great work.
01:37:51 Real tough.
01:37:53 Welcome back to another fire fest of the week brought to you by our good friends over at
01:37:56 Morgan and Morgan.
01:37:58 You know what really sucks?
01:38:00 Making a promise that you're going to dunk in nine months and then having to pay a lot
01:38:03 of money for it.
01:38:04 You know what else really sucks?
01:38:06 Uh, backing your car up into a telephone pole that somebody didn't paint in cautionary yellow
01:38:10 in the parking lot.
01:38:12 Driving head on into it.
01:38:13 Uh, no, not head on.
01:38:14 It's got t-boned.
01:38:15 Yeah.
01:38:16 T-boned.
01:38:17 Backed into it.
01:38:18 I got t-boned.
01:38:19 You won't know anything about t-boned.
01:38:20 Backed into it again.
01:38:21 No, you're more of a hamburger helper guy.
01:38:22 I'm a t-boned guy.
01:38:23 Uh, you know what doesn't suck?
01:38:24 Calling Morgan and Morgan so they can help get you what you deserve.
01:38:27 They can't help any of these fire fests that we've had in the past.
01:38:30 Unfortunately, although they might be able to sue Hank for my car.
01:38:33 I'll look into that.
01:38:34 They can help fight to get you full and fair compensation when you are injured.
01:38:38 Their fee is free unless they win.
01:38:39 For more information, go to forthepeople.com/pmt or dial #law#529 from your cell phone.
01:38:45 That's Morgan and Morgan.
01:38:46 You can go to forthepeople.com/pmt or dial #law#529 from your cell phone.
01:38:52 If you're injured, hit up Morgan and Morgan.
01:38:54 They will fight for you.
01:38:55 Their fee is free unless they win.
01:38:57 Okay, let's wrap up.
01:38:58 We got fire fest.
01:38:59 I'm very excited about Hank's.
01:39:01 Henry, also, uh, memes is out on a bachelor party.
01:39:06 Uh, Jake is calling golf all weekend.
01:39:08 Go listen, please.
01:39:09 We're very proud of Jake.
01:39:10 He's DJ toy live.
01:39:12 Yeah, crushing it.
01:39:13 He's calling Max's group.
01:39:14 Yeah, it's called Max's group.
01:39:15 So he's been crushing it with the golf coverage.
01:39:18 Uh, then getting, getting picking up, you know, what is this?
01:39:21 Third tournament this year so far.
01:39:22 So please go watch.
01:39:24 Uh, so it's just me, PFT, Hank and Max here.
01:39:28 Max has a fire fest for us, but Hank, we always start with you.
01:39:32 So go ahead.
01:39:33 Yeah, I have a couple of the first memes.
01:39:34 Memes isn't here, but he, uh, Mr. Pear.
01:39:38 Two nights in a row.
01:39:39 Jinx to heartbreaking.
01:39:41 Correct.
01:39:43 Mega chokes.
01:39:44 Mega choke.
01:39:45 The fact that it was back to back.
01:39:46 He had the stars two nights ago.
01:39:47 They blew a three goal lead and then he had the Oilers last night.
01:39:50 He had a, you know, Hezzy Hay to pick the Oilers.
01:39:53 Yup.
01:39:54 Thought it was a lock.
01:39:55 It'd be also drew and just an all time joke.
01:39:57 Also blew a three, three goal lead.
01:39:59 Maybe a one period of the week.
01:40:00 Third period.
01:40:01 Yeah.
01:40:02 Yeah.
01:40:03 I mean the, the, the, uh, Mr. Perry and he also memes has been kind of getting cocky
01:40:07 when the, when his teams go up to Rio and then he starts tweeting these AI things that
01:40:12 he's addicted to.
01:40:14 By the way, tune into the PMTV if you missed it.
01:40:16 It released Thursday night.
01:40:17 Mr. Pear picks his NHL and NBA champions.
01:40:22 Oh, he's very good.
01:40:24 I did put, I did put it in.
01:40:26 Do you know what he picked?
01:40:27 Yes.
01:40:28 I don't.
01:40:29 I'll, I'll watch.
01:40:30 I don't, I don't want to be happy.
01:40:31 No, don't say, don't say anything.
01:40:32 Wait, will he be happy with the NHL or NBA?
01:40:35 I don't know.
01:40:36 Maybe you have to tune in to find out.
01:40:39 I hope he picks both Boston teams.
01:40:41 Me too.
01:40:42 Um, but my, you know, cause he kind of sucks right now.
01:40:45 Well, as long as memes doesn't do the AI, which I'm sure he will now, cause he wants
01:40:48 to, to jinx you.
01:40:50 Have you noticed that memes is getting very, very protective over Mr. Pear?
01:40:53 Uh, noticed that's it's crazy.
01:40:56 Like he won't let anybody look at the turtle, right?
01:40:58 He's like, where are you going?
01:41:00 He's sleeping right now.
01:41:01 All he does is stare at it.
01:41:02 He's like, Oh, still sleeping.
01:41:03 I think he's in love with Mr. Pear.
01:41:05 I like how this is the most we've ever talked about memes.
01:41:07 No, the one joke.
01:41:08 So I was walking, I was walking into the show the other day.
01:41:11 I came around the corner and memes was kissing Mr. Pear on the lips.
01:41:15 I think he actually, when, when he takes Mr. Pear home, he just puts him in his, uh, the
01:41:19 front of his underwear, drives him home that way.
01:41:22 That's how they sleep.
01:41:23 That's his bed.
01:41:24 Yeah.
01:41:25 No, Mr. Memes is, is obsessed with Mr. Pear, which is good.
01:41:27 That's good.
01:41:28 It's very good, but it is a little weird because it's a turtle.
01:41:31 It's a turtle that does nothing but sleep and shit in its own water.
01:41:35 He's also very cute though.
01:41:36 Yeah, I know.
01:41:37 He's the cutest.
01:41:38 Um, my other fire fest, which I alluded to before we recorded is that I don't, I might,
01:41:42 I might get caught up in some legal action.
01:41:43 I'm not sure how this works, but, uh, I parked at the airport when I went home this past
01:41:49 weekend.
01:41:50 Uh, and I came back, was, was pretty hungover coming back.
01:41:53 It was just like, it was a struggle getting on the, on the, uh, plane.
01:41:56 I told the guy next to me that I had food poisoning in case I puked probably just reeked
01:42:01 like booze though.
01:42:02 So I don't think I was really hiding anything.
01:42:04 So embarrassing.
01:42:05 Yeah, no soda zone.
01:42:07 I fell asleep.
01:42:08 No worries.
01:42:10 Get back to my car in the airport had a boot on it.
01:42:12 Oh, Oh no.
01:42:14 And it's because, which I still am trying to figure out.
01:42:17 It's not easy dealing with the DMV, but I guess I had red light like car violations,
01:42:24 but I haven't got, like I hadn't got anything in the mail.
01:42:26 Have you checked your mail?
01:42:28 Yes.
01:42:29 Okay.
01:42:30 So I think it's like when I moved somehow my, my address and update or it was violations
01:42:33 I didn't know about, had a boot on my car, had to walk like all the way across the parking
01:42:39 lot to the boot place pay.
01:42:40 Like it wasn't a crazy amount, but I had to pay off the, it was like two or three red
01:42:44 light violations and then wait like an hour and a half for them to come take my boot off.
01:42:49 So they've got, they've got license plate readers at the airport that scan every car
01:42:52 that's going in to see if you have outstanding tickets.
01:42:55 That is a fucking racket.
01:42:56 It's essentially like a, when they do the iron bowl free ticket giveaway and they get
01:43:00 everyone for not paying their child support.
01:43:02 Yeah, they was like that.
01:43:04 Did you?
01:43:05 They also, when I was pulling in, it was crazy busy and they had me park on like a curb.
01:43:08 Like there was a bunch of cars on the curb, but there was signs on the curb that said
01:43:11 no parking, but they literally were, you know, we're directing people to park there.
01:43:14 So when I got back, I was so mad.
01:43:15 I was like, you know, getting ready to fight being like, I was looking at an attendant
01:43:20 that told me to park here and they're like, no, you just have like three red light tickets.
01:43:23 Okay.
01:43:24 So I don't even know what that means.
01:43:25 Well, I get, I collect them like Pokemon cards.
01:43:27 I get one a week.
01:43:29 For what?
01:43:30 If you go through, so there's a couple intersections, you got to know which ones, and it's not even
01:43:37 like I don't go through red lights.
01:43:39 No, I go through yellow lights that turn red and they'll, if it's red while you're in the
01:43:44 intersection, they will snap your picture.
01:43:47 And I'm doing this at like two in the morning on Sunday nights when we leave and there's
01:43:50 no one on the road, but it doesn't matter.
01:43:53 Gets you.
01:43:54 It's a fucking racket.
01:43:55 But you get them in the mail.
01:43:56 I get them in the mail.
01:43:57 One thing that I've noticed about Chicago and the drivers here is the left.
01:44:01 Be careful with this.
01:44:02 No, no, no, no.
01:44:03 I got cooked online for this and it's bullshit.
01:44:05 Okay.
01:44:06 A couple of things.
01:44:07 This is niche Chicago.
01:44:08 A couple of things.
01:44:09 I'll start out, I'll do a shit sandwich.
01:44:10 So the nice part first, people are very good about waving you in.
01:44:12 Yep.
01:44:13 People love to wave you in.
01:44:14 If they'll stop for you, let you make a turn.
01:44:16 If they know that they can't get any further because there's a traffic buildup in front
01:44:19 of them, they'll let you right in.
01:44:20 Love that about Chicago drivers.
01:44:22 Very nice.
01:44:23 The left turns.
01:44:26 When the light is turning red, when it's yellow, I come from a place, I think most
01:44:30 people grow up driving where you go out into the intersection, you make the left turn maybe
01:44:35 right after it turned red.
01:44:37 That's totally fine.
01:44:38 In Chicago, you've got like four cars that make that left after it's already there.
01:44:42 Yeah, you pile up and you're ready to go.
01:44:44 Everybody makes that left.
01:44:45 All you got to do is just basically be in line and you can make it.
01:44:47 Yeah.
01:44:48 If you're there, you can do it.
01:44:49 But with the red light cameras, Hank, so I had my car booted in a McDonald's parking
01:44:53 lot when I just stepped out of it.
01:44:56 The boot on the car is such a racket.
01:44:58 There's somebody that's-
01:44:59 Well, the red light cameras are a racket.
01:45:00 They are a racket.
01:45:01 Because it's just, like I said, I would understand if you actively are going through a red light,
01:45:06 which I do not do.
01:45:08 It's going through a yellow light that then turns red or like you said, getting in line
01:45:13 and being like, "Oh, I can go left here."
01:45:14 I'll even say like two cars making that left after it turns red, that's normal.
01:45:18 That's fine.
01:45:19 It's efficient driving.
01:45:20 Here, it's like four or five sometimes.
01:45:21 Yeah, I like getting in that lane and just being like, "I got this."
01:45:25 This was like two or three weeks ago.
01:45:26 I tweeted this because it's insane.
01:45:27 You sit at the red light and you see the red light goes red.
01:45:31 Four to five cars.
01:45:32 Yeah, but that's good.
01:45:33 Well past- It's just insane.
01:45:35 And PFT is right.
01:45:36 It's only in Chicago.
01:45:37 I have literally driven across this entire country.
01:45:39 I've driven my entire life.
01:45:42 And I tweeted, "One thing I've learned driving in Chicago, everyone turns left on red right
01:45:45 after it switches from yellow.
01:45:46 It's just an unspoken thing a car three does every time."
01:45:50 Every single response was like-
01:45:51 Why are people mad?
01:45:52 Dude, have you ever driven a car before?
01:45:55 That's the most normal thing in the world.
01:45:56 Everyone does it everywhere.
01:45:57 Well, yeah, one car making that turn is completely normal.
01:46:00 Two cars- But I like it.
01:46:01 It's good.
01:46:02 It's way- Because it's hard to make that turn if everyone's
01:46:06 gone waiting.
01:46:07 You'll get it light sometimes where it will be like if you went by the letter of the law,
01:46:12 you'd be at that light forever.
01:46:13 That's true.
01:46:14 No, I respect it.
01:46:15 It was just an observation.
01:46:16 I was like, "One thing I've noticed about Chicago," and every single person dunked on
01:46:17 me being like, "How about you drive in any other state in the world?"
01:46:20 So a lot of those lights that we're talking about, they are lights that don't even have
01:46:24 the left turn arrow.
01:46:25 Correct.
01:46:26 Which is bullshit.
01:46:27 And they should.
01:46:28 And they should, and this is their way of making up for it.
01:46:29 It's like, "I know we're not giving you an arrow, so just take the first-
01:46:31 But I also do it when there is a left turn arrow.
01:46:33 Take the first 10 seconds of the red light to go ahead and everybody that's in line,
01:46:37 if you're in line, stay in line, you can make that left turn.
01:46:40 I would take what happens here over what happens in New York any day of the week because New
01:46:44 York people will do that.
01:46:48 You can do the left turn thing if you're the fourth in line, like PFT was saying, but you
01:46:53 do it knowing that you're able to go down the next street.
01:46:56 In New York, people will do that and just sit in the middle of the intersection.
01:47:01 Just to get off the line.
01:47:02 If you're ever trying to get into the tunnel or anything like that, that will just be the
01:47:04 entire time you'll just be sitting there and all chaos breaks loose because none of the
01:47:09 lights actually match up to when you can move.
01:47:11 Yeah.
01:47:12 I don't mind it either.
01:47:13 I just literally said, "One thing I've noticed," and people just were like, "You fucking idiot."
01:47:16 I think people are still mad about this, calling winter over in February.
01:47:20 To be fair, what you said is different than what PFT said.
01:47:24 I was trying to say exactly what he said.
01:47:26 He was trying to be safe.
01:47:27 He said like-
01:47:28 You said any, but you didn't specify the amount.
01:47:30 He made it sound like one car making a turn as well.
01:47:32 One car, that is all across the country.
01:47:35 If you are in the intersection-
01:47:36 Three or four, even two.
01:47:37 Even two.
01:47:38 Even two.
01:47:39 Yeah.
01:47:40 Three or four is a lot.
01:47:41 I do it all the time.
01:47:42 I do it all the time.
01:47:43 After the sixth time I saw the fourth car go through the light, I was like, "I think this
01:47:47 might be a Chicago."
01:47:48 You just got to be on your game.
01:47:49 It is a Chicago.
01:47:50 You got to be on your game.
01:47:51 No, I'm with it.
01:47:52 I play the game.
01:47:53 I like the game.
01:47:54 I respect the game.
01:47:55 It's a better game.
01:47:56 It's a Chicago thing.
01:47:57 It's not like this everywhere else, much to people's disagreement.
01:48:00 You do it though.
01:48:01 Of course.
01:48:02 You've got to at times.
01:48:03 Yeah.
01:48:04 It also makes it so that everyone's-
01:48:05 I've gotten six fucking tickets doing it, apparently.
01:48:06 Yeah.
01:48:07 I mean, I have too.
01:48:08 People, you got to pay attention.
01:48:09 That's the other part.
01:48:10 It's like-
01:48:11 You got to be ready to go.
01:48:12 I guess I got to figure out where-
01:48:14 You just got to figure out where.
01:48:16 I know exactly where a couple are on my path.
01:48:18 There's one right down the street that is every time.
01:48:20 I think we kind of-
01:48:21 Because there's no left green.
01:48:23 We glossed over Hank's original point was he drove to the airport like a psychopath.
01:48:27 That's also crazy.
01:48:28 Why did you take him over?
01:48:29 I think two nights, parking the lot.
01:48:32 It's like $15 a night.
01:48:34 So it's like-
01:48:35 I drive if it's like one way.
01:48:36 $30 versus $80 there and back.
01:48:37 Well, not for you.
01:48:38 It was like $300.
01:48:39 It was.
01:48:40 $600.
01:48:41 Yeah, it was like $500, $600.
01:48:45 But no, it's cheaper.
01:48:47 But it actually worked out for you.
01:48:48 And if you have time, yeah.
01:48:51 Because imagine if you got booted on a street that you were running around doing errands.
01:48:55 Yeah, like I had-
01:48:56 Your whole day got fucked.
01:48:57 Yeah, I had time.
01:48:59 I wasn't in a rush to get back.
01:49:01 When I said, I was like, "You said we could do something at four."
01:49:04 I was like, "I can be there."
01:49:05 And we changed it.
01:49:06 And then that happened.
01:49:07 Yeah.
01:49:08 I didn't get back till like 630.
01:49:09 Oh, man.
01:49:10 I had to park at the airport one time in Chicago.
01:49:11 And that's a never again thing.
01:49:13 You have to park-
01:49:14 Oh, I like it.
01:49:15 I had to park so far away.
01:49:16 But if you have time, it's not bad.
01:49:17 You get on the shuttle.
01:49:18 No, it's bad.
01:49:19 It's bad.
01:49:20 I'm never doing that again.
01:49:21 I like driving.
01:49:22 I like driving too.
01:49:23 I think two days.
01:49:24 If you're going for a weekend trip, no problem.
01:49:25 If you reserve your spot, it's a lot better.
01:49:27 Oh, you can do that?
01:49:28 Yes.
01:49:29 That's the move.
01:49:30 Like a restaurant?
01:49:31 Yes.
01:49:32 Like a deli?
01:49:33 Reserve your spot.
01:49:34 I've done it at O'Hare.
01:49:35 I used to do it at LaGuardia.
01:49:36 It's a 24-hour trip.
01:49:38 You reserve your spot.
01:49:39 You show up.
01:49:40 You park.
01:49:41 And then it does make sense if it's like one day, maybe two at max.
01:49:44 Anything over two, the cost just doesn't make any sense.
01:49:47 It doesn't.
01:49:48 I would even say in Hank's circumstance where it's like two days, you saved like 15 bucks.
01:49:51 Well, again, no, because-
01:49:54 Yeah.
01:49:55 But it's also nice.
01:49:56 I don't know.
01:49:57 I like to drive.
01:49:58 I like getting off a plane.
01:49:59 I agree.
01:50:00 And just like being like, "I just got to get to my car."
01:50:01 Yeah.
01:50:02 I like driving.
01:50:03 Yeah.
01:50:04 It's nice.
01:50:05 You feel like you have more control.
01:50:06 Yeah.
01:50:07 I do.
01:50:08 Sometimes.
01:50:09 Okay.
01:50:10 Well, you're better than I am.
01:50:11 Oh, yeah.
01:50:12 I'm actually a great driver.
01:50:13 If there's a pole, maybe not.
01:50:14 Fantastic driver.
01:50:15 Okay.
01:50:16 So, PFT, your Fire Fest?
01:50:17 My Fire Fest of the week is I have been accused of cheating and hacking on my favorite flight
01:50:20 simulator game.
01:50:21 Oh, no.
01:50:22 And I'm being threatened with a ban.
01:50:25 By who?
01:50:26 By other players.
01:50:27 Oh, shit.
01:50:28 Are you still in like a guild?
01:50:29 That I'm beating.
01:50:30 I am in a guild.
01:50:31 It's a squadron, Hank.
01:50:32 Sorry.
01:50:33 Oh, no.
01:50:34 I fly in a squadron.
01:50:35 I fly in a squadron.
01:50:36 So, the leaps and bounds were jumping off the charts.
01:50:37 Yeah.
01:50:38 Because you're cheating.
01:50:39 I got accused of cheating.
01:50:40 I was also called several racial slurs that I haven't heard in a long time by people accusing
01:50:43 me of cheating.
01:50:44 How do you cheat?
01:50:45 I don't know.
01:50:46 It's one of those things where I think-
01:50:47 All right.
01:50:48 Let me ask that again.
01:50:49 If you've been playing the game for a long time, I think if you're really into the subculture
01:50:51 around the game and the lore, you know that there are ways of cheating if you're really
01:50:55 into it.
01:50:56 I have not spent that much time understanding.
01:50:59 So, I don't know how do you cheat.
01:51:00 Are you playing on a computer or your phone?
01:51:01 Let me ask you.
01:51:02 My phone.
01:51:03 How do you ...
01:51:04 I don't know.
01:51:05 I don't know.
01:51:06 I don't know.
01:51:07 He's on his phone.
01:51:08 He's on his phone.
01:51:09 No, no.
01:51:10 I know, but I think if you're playing a computer PC game, it's much easier to be like, "You're
01:51:11 hacking.
01:51:12 You installed something.
01:51:13 How the fuck do you install hacks on a iPhone?"
01:51:14 Let me ask the question again because I think you were thinking the broad terms.
01:51:18 I'm saying, "How do you cheat?"
01:51:20 How do I cheat?
01:51:21 Because you clearly cheat.
01:51:22 I cheat by being a really fucking good pilot.
01:51:24 That's not cheating.
01:51:25 No, it's not cheating.
01:51:27 I cheat by being excellent.
01:51:28 Yeah.
01:51:29 And I think some people get jealous of my excellence in the cockpit, but I had one game
01:51:33 I put up four MVP performances in a row after each of these games, and then one of the guys
01:51:39 I was just killing over and over again hit me up, and then he told all of his buddies
01:51:43 this guy's cheating.
01:51:45 So now I'm being bullied in my flight simulator game.
01:51:48 Got it.
01:51:49 It's tough.
01:51:50 Is there a forum?
01:51:51 I guess if there is, you don't leak it, but is there an outside forum or Discord channel
01:51:56 where people can't wait to-
01:51:58 There is a Discord.
01:51:59 I don't participate in the Discord.
01:52:02 I haven't reached that level with it yet.
01:52:04 You have to have a lot of time to participate in that kind of Discord.
01:52:06 I might try and find it just to see the chatter.
01:52:09 But I don't know.
01:52:10 Yeah, there might be an effort, a campaign behind the scenes to get me banned because
01:52:13 I'm cheating.
01:52:14 Sounds like there is.
01:52:15 What's your KD?
01:52:16 A lot.
01:52:17 My usual, I would say I probably kill average nine planes, die three times.
01:52:24 It's pretty good.
01:52:25 Sounds like you might be cheating.
01:52:28 But now I want to know how to cheat because that sounds like it would be awesome.
01:52:30 Yeah, they've spoken into existence.
01:52:34 Now you have to cheat.
01:52:35 You're going to be accused of cheating.
01:52:36 You might as well cheat.
01:52:37 You made me do this.
01:52:38 Right, exactly.
01:52:39 Because everyone's already going to think of you a certain way.
01:52:41 Just be like, "Fine, I'll fucking cheat."
01:52:43 Yeah, but I haven't been called those words by a video gamer in a long time.
01:52:48 It kind of feels like still got it.
01:52:50 Were you playing against, what was his name?
01:52:53 What was the fucking-
01:52:54 Oh, the Pete player.
01:52:56 Myers Leonard?
01:52:57 Myers Leonard.
01:52:58 Yeah.
01:52:59 Myers Leonard saw that.
01:53:00 Myers Leonard.
01:53:01 That was a mistake.
01:53:04 My fire fest is I'm being held hostage by a guy named Chuck E. Cheese.
01:53:12 What is Chuck E. Cheese's real name?
01:53:13 His name is Charles-
01:53:14 His middle name, the E stands for entertainment.
01:53:16 So therefore his name is Charles Entertainment Cheese.
01:53:19 Yeah, so I took my kids-
01:53:20 I thought that place closed a long time ago.
01:53:23 Dude, it's not.
01:53:24 It's not closed.
01:53:25 It might be back, actually.
01:53:26 It definitely went bankrupt or something like a few years ago.
01:53:27 It's not closed because I've been a couple times to my kids and I don't know what happened,
01:53:32 but my daughter, my middle child, she just thinks every day we're going to go to Chuck
01:53:37 E. Cheese and I have to basically negotiate with the terrorist every single day that today's
01:53:42 not the day we're going to Chuck E. Cheese.
01:53:43 And I've taken her many times, I've gone to Chuck E. Cheese more than anyone should go
01:53:48 to Chuck E. Cheese in the last few months, which is I think two or three times.
01:53:53 But every single day, taking her to school, we get in the car and she's like, "Are we
01:53:57 going to Chuck E. Cheese?"
01:53:58 I'm like, "No, we're going to school."
01:53:59 She's like, "Oh, so we're going to Chuck E. Cheese later."
01:54:01 "No, we're not going to Chuck E. Cheese today.
01:54:03 It's Tuesday."
01:54:04 Then we get home, dinner, is it time to go to Chuck E. Cheese?
01:54:08 I don't know what to do.
01:54:09 I think I got to say that it's closed down forever.
01:54:12 You have to tell her that school is actually Chuck E. Cheese.
01:54:15 I'm so sick of Chuck E. Cheese.
01:54:17 Yeah, just be like, "This is the Chuck E. Cheese where you learn and color and do finger
01:54:22 painting."
01:54:23 It's just every day, Chuck E. Cheese.
01:54:24 "When are we going to Chuck E. Cheese?
01:54:25 Are we going to...
01:54:26 I'm going to take a nap and then I'll get up and we'll go to Chuck E. Cheese."
01:54:28 "No, this is not what we do.
01:54:29 We don't go to Chuck E. Cheese every day."
01:54:31 But now I think I either have to go to Chuck E. Cheese every day or yeah, say that it's
01:54:34 closed.
01:54:35 Or here's what you do.
01:54:37 You give tickets to her teacher and then when she does an assignment, have her teacher-
01:54:42 Like, "You're at Chuck E. Cheese."
01:54:43 Be like, "Here's your tickets.
01:54:44 You're at Chuck E. Cheese.
01:54:45 If you want, you can redeem these for a tiny plastic dinosaur at the end of the day."
01:54:49 Turn every place that she goes into Chuck E. Cheese.
01:54:51 We're going to do a birthday at Chuck E. Cheese for her, so now it's going to just reignite
01:54:55 the love for Chuck E. Cheese.
01:54:56 Yeah.
01:54:57 Chuck E. Cheese does rock.
01:54:58 It does rock, but I can't do it every day.
01:55:01 And I've been asked, I would say 16 out of the last 17 days I've been asked, "When are
01:55:07 we going to Chuck E. Cheese?"
01:55:08 This is why you never do anything fun with your children.
01:55:10 I know.
01:55:11 I know.
01:55:12 They want to go to the...
01:55:13 You do one thing once.
01:55:14 You got to do the mind...
01:55:15 I'm trying to think.
01:55:16 I feel like I would get told, "If you don't talk about Chuck E. Cheese, maybe we'll go."
01:55:22 Yeah, I don't think that would work.
01:55:23 But then she's just going to be thinking about Chuck E. Cheese.
01:55:24 It's almost worse.
01:55:25 Yeah, and it's like she won't be able to focus on anything else besides Chuck E. Cheese.
01:55:28 Don't say Chuck E. Cheese.
01:55:29 Like every time you bring up Chuck E. Cheese, we're not going for another day.
01:55:32 I'm basically living with the Busters guy in a three-year-old girl body where she's
01:55:38 just like, "But you love Chuck E. Cheese."
01:55:40 You could turn your entire house into a Chuck E. Cheese.
01:55:42 Yeah, we could just build an arcade here.
01:55:44 We could do a Chuck E. Cheese arcade here.
01:55:46 Yeah, get Pasquale the parrot.
01:55:47 The craziest thing is it's not even fun for her.
01:55:50 I thought that was a huge...
01:55:51 When we go, she's not at the point where she can play the video games.
01:55:56 It's not really that fun, but she did it.
01:55:58 There's a ball pit, right?
01:55:59 There's no ball pit at this Chuck E. Cheese.
01:56:01 What's the point?
01:56:02 I mean, there's little rides, and then we play Cruisin' USA, and we crash into everything.
01:56:08 That's fun.
01:56:09 And then we do the game where we try to win a ball, and usually I fail and look like a
01:56:16 fucking loser.
01:56:17 Yeah, I think you just get a couple arcade machines.
01:56:20 We can put them in the office.
01:56:21 We can even get a ball pit in the office.
01:56:22 That would probably be good.
01:56:23 Yeah.
01:56:24 And then just have...
01:56:25 Oh, that would be good for our lice.
01:56:26 It'd be really good for the lice to share around.
01:56:29 One time my job was to be in charge of hosing down the ball pit whenever some kid diarrhea'd
01:56:33 in it.
01:56:34 Ball pits are gross.
01:56:35 They're gross.
01:56:36 Yeah, it was bad.
01:56:37 Bad times.
01:56:38 But yeah, just turn the office into a Chuck E. Cheese and be like, "We're going to Chuck
01:56:39 E. Cheese."
01:56:40 I think that's all I got to say.
01:56:41 Or your house.
01:56:42 Put up a sign and be like, "We're back at Chuck E. Cheese."
01:56:43 Chuck E. Cheese.
01:56:44 Yeah, we're here at Chuck E. Cheese.
01:56:45 Welcome back, Chuck E. Cheese.
01:56:46 It's breaking me slowly to have to just every single day be asked, "Are we going to Chuck
01:56:51 E. Cheese?"
01:56:52 And again, it's not like I'm being a hard ass like, "We're never going to Chuck E. Cheese."
01:56:55 I've been to Chuck E. Cheese too many times.
01:56:57 Do you like the pizza?
01:56:59 I like Chuck E. Cheese pizza.
01:57:00 It's good.
01:57:01 Yeah.
01:57:02 Now, I haven't had it since I was probably like 12.
01:57:03 Yeah.
01:57:04 But it was really good.
01:57:05 It is funny going back to all these places and being like, "Damn, this place is small."
01:57:08 Yeah.
01:57:09 Whereas when you were a kid, you're like, "This is the craziest place ever."
01:57:12 The animatronic band.
01:57:13 I thought they were giants.
01:57:14 Yeah, the light up dance floor.
01:57:16 Yeah.
01:57:17 Chuck E. Cheese rocks.
01:57:18 So yeah, that's my Fyre Fest.
01:57:19 Max, finish us off.
01:57:22 This past week has been, I had a wedding that's normal Fyre Fest, flight got delayed.
01:57:27 Love is Fyre Fest?
01:57:29 Wow.
01:57:30 Seeing your friends at their happiest?
01:57:32 The wedding itself was delightful, but it's the normal thing.
01:57:36 Flight was delayed, sweat through my shirt, outdoor wedding.
01:57:40 That's not normal.
01:57:41 Sweating through your shirt at a wedding?
01:57:43 That's every time for me.
01:57:44 You are that guy.
01:57:45 I'm the guy who goes as hard as you possibly could on a dance floor.
01:57:48 You got the tie around your head?
01:57:50 Not a tie.
01:57:51 No, the tie is in my back pocket jacket at the dinner table.
01:57:55 Rip your pants.
01:57:56 Rip your pants.
01:57:57 I've ripped my pants before.
01:57:58 Yeah, you definitely have that look on your face where you're dancing so hard you look
01:58:01 angry.
01:58:02 Yeah.
01:58:03 Yeah.
01:58:04 Oh yeah.
01:58:05 You are like the guy that every mother of the bride looks at and they're like, "Really?"
01:58:10 Correct.
01:58:11 Now, this was supposed to be a classy day and this guy's here?
01:58:15 A hundred percent.
01:58:16 That is me every time.
01:58:17 Max, what's your move in terms of going up to the bartender at the start of an open bar
01:58:20 wedding?
01:58:24 I'm normally two martinis and then beer.
01:58:27 Two martinis?
01:58:28 Yeah, but what about tip?
01:58:29 Because you got to tip.
01:58:30 So I do a 20 at the beginning and then I'll get a couple drinks and then once I feel like
01:58:36 I've gotten enough drinks, it's a five.
01:58:38 Do you say anything?
01:58:39 No.
01:58:40 I hate to hear people say something.
01:58:41 I never say anything.
01:58:42 No, I never say anything, but the bartender always knows the 20, the person who gives
01:58:47 the 20.
01:58:48 Yeah.
01:58:49 Sometimes you have to wait though to make sure the bartender sees you put the 20 in.
01:58:51 I don't know if bartender, I assume any bartenders listening to this show, back me up if I'm way
01:58:57 off, but they have to hate whenever someone gives them a 20 and they're like, "Take care
01:59:01 of me for the rest of the night."
01:59:02 Keep them coming.
01:59:03 Yeah.
01:59:04 That's the worst.
01:59:05 That's the fucking worst guy in the world.
01:59:06 Like, "What do you mean take care of me?
01:59:07 You're going to get ... It's open bar."
01:59:08 Yeah.
01:59:09 I'm not tipping because you're saying that-
01:59:10 Keep things flowing.
01:59:11 You're saying that your $20 will direct the course of this employee's evening for the
01:59:17 rest of his night.
01:59:18 And also, everyone's ... $20 is an absurd amount of money.
01:59:22 There's probably 20 people there are giving him $20 to start the night.
01:59:26 It's like the dude when you go on vacation, there's always one dude around the pool that
01:59:30 thinks he's best friends with the locals because you gave him a tip the first day.
01:59:34 It's like, "Yeah, we're basically friends for life."
01:59:37 Like, "Dude, shut up."
01:59:38 And during any wedding, I do the same thing.
01:59:40 I go up, I usually do $20 right off the bat.
01:59:42 And then after I get about three drinks in me, four drinks in me, then I'm like, "Fuck
01:59:46 it.
01:59:47 Let's just give this guy more money."
01:59:48 You'll spam him.
01:59:49 And then the next time I go up, I'm like, "Here's 40."
01:59:50 Yeah.
01:59:51 Yeah.
01:59:52 And they're like, "Thank you, I guess."
01:59:53 Yeah.
01:59:54 Yeah.
01:59:55 And from their perspective, they just see a bunch of people all dressed the same.
01:59:58 Yeah.
01:59:59 They don't even recognize who's giving what.
02:00:00 Remember me?
02:00:01 I'm the guy that's wearing the tie.
02:00:02 Yeah.
02:00:03 Remember me?
02:00:04 I'm the sweaty guy.
02:00:05 So wait, what was your Fyre Fest?
02:00:06 My Fyre Fest is, this is like a year long Fyre Fest that has happened again this week.
02:00:11 I'm in a battle with my deli guy at my grocery store.
02:00:15 Oh.
02:00:16 I don't know if it's Chicago or if it's my specific grocery store that I go to, but I
02:00:23 go to the deli thing, I get my turkey, I get my cheese, but I like my cheese very thin.
02:00:30 So then you got to say it.
02:00:31 I say it every time.
02:00:33 Every time I go in there, I'm very, very, very thin.
02:00:37 And the guy will give me a slice of cheese and I'm a little bit thinner than that.
02:00:41 And then once I go home, it's always thicker than when he gives it to me.
02:00:45 Wait, you make him recut the cheese?
02:00:47 No, sometimes they give you a sample.
02:00:49 Okay.
02:00:50 Have you ever-
02:00:51 But wait, what do you say?
02:00:52 Max is big on cutting.
02:00:53 And how does this tie to a wedding?
02:00:55 This is what I-
02:00:56 He's a sweaty guy and he wants his cheese thin.
02:00:59 No, the wedding, I wasn't going to talk about the wedding.
02:01:02 I was just going to say this past week, that's my Fyre Fest of the week, was the normal wedding
02:01:08 things.
02:01:09 But year long, I've been thinking about this Fyre Fest of my battle with this cheese deli
02:01:15 for every time Fyre Fest comes along.
02:01:17 So role play, I'm the guy who's cutting your cheese.
02:01:20 Hey, what can I get you?
02:01:23 Hey, can I get the white-
02:01:26 You already are.
02:01:27 I'm already done with you.
02:01:28 Spit it out.
02:01:29 Hey, can I get the white American sliced very, very thin?
02:01:32 I think you got it.
02:01:33 I think-
02:01:34 I do two very's.
02:01:35 I think very's the wrong word.
02:01:36 What?
02:01:37 I think you say extra thin.
02:01:38 Very special thin.
02:01:39 Yeah.
02:01:40 Very is just not extra.
02:01:46 If I do two very's, that should mean very thin.
02:01:49 No, extra feels like if you say, "Hey, can I get some cheese?
02:01:52 I like it cut extra thin."
02:01:53 Maybe hold up something in comparison.
02:01:55 I want it to be a slice of paper.
02:01:57 Yeah, bring a sheet of paper and be like this thin.
02:01:59 Yeah, you're doing the see-through.
02:02:01 Jim Nance's toast.
02:02:03 You need to just get it perfectly cut and then just hold onto that slice of cheese for
02:02:10 the rest of your life in a Ziploc bag in your pocket.
02:02:13 And anywhere you go, you can be like, "Look, this is what I like."
02:02:15 I think you got-
02:02:16 Try extra.
02:02:17 Extra, okay.
02:02:18 Just try extra.
02:02:19 Can't you try a different deli too?
02:02:20 No, but just try-
02:02:21 No, but I'm not going to go to a different grocery store.
02:02:22 Let me know how extra works.
02:02:24 I think for some reason, someone saying very, very thin is just-
02:02:27 But wait, if it's white American cheese, that's a very moist cheese.
02:02:31 Yeah.
02:02:32 Right?
02:02:33 It might not be possible to cut white American cheese as thin as you want.
02:02:34 Not true.
02:02:35 You might be asking him to do an impossible task.
02:02:37 I mean, at the Acme in Philly, they get that thing as thin as shit.
02:02:41 Well, then maybe you should just order your cheese from the Acme in Philly.
02:02:44 Yeah, just say extra thin and let me report back.
02:02:46 Okay.
02:02:47 You know what?
02:02:48 Max, when's your birthday?
02:02:49 This month.
02:02:50 I'm going to get you a cheese slicer so you can cut your own cheese as thin as you want
02:02:53 it.
02:02:54 I don't even know how that's possible.
02:02:55 What do you mean?
02:02:56 You don't think you can buy a cheese slicer?
02:02:58 But you're going to complain about somebody else doing it not thin enough for you?
02:03:03 That's their job.
02:03:04 Yeah, I think you give off bad vibes to these deli guys.
02:03:07 I just want it thin.
02:03:08 Let's be honest.
02:03:09 If Max walked into your deli, the first thought you'd have is, "This guy is going to be a
02:03:12 fucking pain in the ass about how I cut the cheese."
02:03:14 Let me guess, seven pounds of salami.
02:03:16 Yeah.
02:03:17 Oh, you want enough pepperoni to cover up your nipples.
02:03:20 I just want some thin cheese, man.
02:03:21 You need to say very, very thin is all pudding.
02:03:24 I can't put a wedding ass to me with any of this.
02:03:27 It's very, very all pudding.
02:03:28 I don't know why you're still on the wedding aim.
02:03:29 You brought it up in the first place.
02:03:31 Try extra.
02:03:32 Very, very feels like you're scolding someone.
02:03:34 Which is a slicer.
02:03:35 Very, very thin.
02:03:36 I don't know what Mr. Pear had to do with your parking situation.
02:03:40 That was to bring up PMTV, which I was asked to do.
02:03:42 Smart.
02:03:43 Plug God.
02:03:44 No, okay, fair.
02:03:45 Extra.
02:03:46 Extra, got it.
02:03:47 Very, very, just yeah, I don't know.
02:03:50 I'd be bothered by very, very.
02:03:51 It feels like you're really kind of talking down to me.
02:03:55 I don't know why.
02:03:56 Okay, that could be.
02:03:57 I don't know.
02:03:58 I haven't thought about it like that.
02:03:59 Right, because when you say very, very, it's like, dude, well, that's a very, very special
02:04:02 guest.
02:04:04 When you say very twice, it's like, hey, buddy, I got it the first time.
02:04:09 Okay, no, I don't.
02:04:10 I don't hate the same guy.
02:04:12 No, it's different.
02:04:13 I think let's get extra mixed in the lingo and let's report back.
02:04:17 Is it a deli or is it a deli in a grocery store?
02:04:19 It's a deli in a grocery, like the deli counter at the grocery and maybe a little please and
02:04:23 thank you.
02:04:24 Oh, no, I do.
02:04:25 I am polite.
02:04:26 Do you tip him?
02:04:27 But your whole tone and vibe is angry.
02:04:30 Are you supposed to tip the deli counter?
02:04:31 Maybe cut your.
02:04:32 Yeah, maybe say, hey, hey, hey, take care of me for the rest of the time.
02:04:36 All right.
02:04:37 Yeah.
02:04:38 Remember this face.
02:04:39 How much do you go to this guy?
02:04:40 He's a lot of cheese.
02:04:41 They should teach tip in the grocery store.
02:04:42 I probably get cheese every other week.
02:04:44 Go to the grocery store once a week.
02:04:45 I think actually they shouldn't teach tipping in school.
02:04:48 I never know.
02:04:49 It's actually a good litmus test of like, were your parents shitty or not?
02:04:53 If you're a bad tipper.
02:04:55 But there's things where you don't know, like what to tip.
02:04:58 Do not tip me.
02:04:59 What are you talking about?
02:05:00 Deli?
02:05:01 No, no, I don't think you usually do.
02:05:03 If there's a jar there and I've got like a five dollar bill, I put it in.
02:05:06 Yeah.
02:05:07 Or if it's like you're doing, I would tip if I was doing going to a deli and ordering
02:05:13 so much stuff for a party that it was, you know, when you have to ask for a ton of stuff
02:05:18 and you hold up everyone else because your guys like running back like, oh, and I'll
02:05:21 take this and I'll take that.
02:05:22 That would maybe be a tip.
02:05:25 Do you do 20% at a restaurant?
02:05:27 Obviously when you order takeout.
02:05:28 Yes, 20% take out or delivery.
02:05:32 Yeah.
02:05:33 Is it pick up, pick up or delivery delivery?
02:05:35 I usually either one.
02:05:36 I smash more.
02:05:37 I do.
02:05:38 I do 25 on delivery.
02:05:39 What about takeout?
02:05:40 Takeout?
02:05:41 Take out.
02:05:42 I'll tip a little.
02:05:43 Probably.
02:05:44 Yeah.
02:05:45 Like 10 to 20.
02:05:46 Yeah.
02:05:47 I'll round up.
02:05:48 I got soup on Tuesday night.
02:05:49 I got ramen soup.
02:05:50 I did 20% on that.
02:05:51 Yeah.
02:05:52 Because I mean, they're still making the food.
02:05:54 Yeah, no, I know.
02:05:55 I just, there's, yeah, no, I always tip when you pick up, but not, I wouldn't tip a full
02:05:59 like 25 on pickup, but I would, I'd tip.
02:06:02 Because that money goes to like the, the kitchen and the expo that does the takeout stuff.
02:06:08 It's not to like a server.
02:06:09 Hotel rooms.
02:06:10 Yeah.
02:06:11 Yes.
02:06:12 If I'm there for a long time, I've started to do that a lot recently.
02:06:14 I like to write a little note.
02:06:15 Yeah.
02:06:16 Be like, thanks for all you do.
02:06:17 Appreciate you.
02:06:18 If I'm there for a night, maybe not.
02:06:19 If I'm there for multiple nights, I'll leave, you know, 40.
02:06:23 Like if we're at a Superbowl week, I'll leave a hundred or something because they've been
02:06:26 cleaning it all week.
02:06:28 Yeah.
02:06:29 Also, Max, happy birthday.
02:06:30 You're getting a cheese slicer so you can do your own cheese.
02:06:32 Okay.
02:06:33 You have nobody to complain to.
02:06:34 No, I'm excited.
02:06:35 Maybe we can build a shelf behind you and just have the slicer right there.
02:06:40 Yeah.
02:06:41 You should do a segment.
02:06:42 That's, that should be like a max video cutting the cheese with max.
02:06:46 Sounds great.
02:06:47 Thrilling.
02:06:48 Uh, okay.
02:06:50 Good fire fest boys.
02:06:51 Uh, let's do numbers.
02:06:52 Max, you ever gotten this?
02:06:54 Uh, no, I've not yet.
02:06:56 PFT.
02:06:57 Have you gotten this?
02:06:58 Not yet, but he's going to.
02:07:00 So am I.
02:07:03 Someone offered me today.
02:07:04 There's other people here that haven't gotten it.
02:07:06 Max, why are you singling me out?
02:07:08 Why is big cat singling me?
02:07:09 I'm asking you because I have a rivalry with you in this because I told you I would get
02:07:13 it before you.
02:07:14 And the only other person is memes.
02:07:17 Memes doesn't count.
02:07:18 Uh, I almost took this guy up on, on an offer today.
02:07:22 He said that he would buy a certain amount of Stella blue coffee if I vacated my win
02:07:29 and then he buy double that.
02:07:31 If I then beat max again, it's tunnel of chaos.
02:07:34 Kind of wanted to do it.
02:07:35 Kind of wanted to do it.
02:07:36 Just be like, you don't vacate.
02:07:37 I'll do it again.
02:07:38 I'll take eight.
02:07:39 Watch me do it again.
02:07:40 Okay.
02:07:41 Uh, 46 please.
02:07:42 20 99 pug.
02:07:43 I'm going to go.
02:07:44 67 show me an eight.
02:07:57 Show me what max doesn't like to do to thick cheese.
02:08:06 38.
02:08:10 Love you guys.
