00:00 so i have a confession. i'm a dietitian and i don't shop at trader joe's. like ever. but i'm
00:05 there right now. so let's see if this trip changes my mind. first, it's the overall experience of
00:09 shopping here. they open 30 minutes ago. the parking lot is full. how is this possible? i
00:13 find the produce section to be pretty limited compared to a traditional grocery store. and
00:18 i also get a little bothered by the excessive plastic packaging. as example by this bag of
00:22 garlic with three bags of garlic inside the plastic bag. also, oh my goodness, frozen meals
00:28 and packaged snacks. like they were so many. like aisles and aisles and aisles of them. i get that's
00:33 a thing that people love about trader joe's and it's a convenience thing, but it's just not
00:38 something i buy very much. credit where credit is due, this cheese section was awesome. i don't use
00:43 a lot of spice mixes either, but i do think it's fun they have a variety. i picked up some produce
00:47 that i needed and a block of cheese as a splurge and headed out. so did this trip convert me to a
00:52 trader joe's fan? no, not really. to be clear, this is no shade on you if you shop at trader joe's.
00:58 i just don't shop for a lot of the things that they offer and i don't love the overall experience.
01:02 i give it a four out of ten.
