Transcript
00:00 Bradford is buzzing with culture, clubs, bars and restaurants.
00:07 But after the news of Bradford Live having an uncertain future,
00:12 this is the new concert venue that was due to be bringing in around 300,000 people to the city each year,
00:20 there's been questions over the night economy in Bradford.
00:25 I really like the Bradford nightlife, I think it's got a lot to offer,
00:30 different places like beer cafes, there's cocktail bars, there's nightclubs,
00:35 there's music venues, there's art spaces, there's a lot going for Bradford
00:41 and I hope that people see it.
00:45 There's been a narrative perpetuated that the night scene can't possibly cope without the likes of Bradford Live.
00:53 Opening, that's going to be a great addition to the scene, but it's not the only thing that happens in the city centre.
01:01 And we're seeing a significant increase in the number of people coming back to gigs and stuff post-Covid.
01:07 And I hope that it continues, I hope the bars and the city centre continue to thrive.
01:13 And there's more people that see the good things in the city.
01:23 Despite speculation over the night economy, everyone I spoke to is optimistic for Bradford's future.
01:32 Where are the best places to go in Bradford at night time?
01:37 Oh well, Bradford at night, we are the people to come and ask,
01:40 and it's all on our website, but our Bradford at night members are so diverse, as diverse as Bradford is.
01:46 So from seeing a comedian at St George's Hall, to seeing Wicked or Lion King at the Alhambra Centre,
01:53 right through to having catch breakfast at Wetherspoon, to City Vault for lunch,
02:00 and maybe grabbing a rum and some amazing food at Rum Shack,
02:04 or even a pint of cider and some Indian street food at Peacock,
02:10 a decent ale at Boreham Fair, Bull and Brew Dog, you name it, you want it,
