Quelle finale au Masters 1000 de Madrid avec une affiche inattendue mais alléchante : Félix Auger-Aliassime face à Andrey Rublev. Au terme de 2h50 d'un niveau très élevé, le Russe a finit par l'emporter sur une triste double faute de son adversaire (4-6, 7-5, 7-5). Dans le dur depuis un an, le Canadien a tout de même retrouvé un joli niveau de jeu même s'il a surtout profité d'un drôle de parcours avec deux abandons et un forfait pour rejoindre sa première finale en Masters 1000. Rublev, lui, n'était que l'ombre de lui-même depuis son craquage à Dubaï. Mais il a réussi à se remettre la tête à l'endroit en Espagne et soulève son deuxième titre dans cette catégorie après Monte-Carlo 2023. C'est également son 16e titre en carrière. Colossal à 26 ans.
