00:00 Hi Preview, this is Sangwon Lee and we're going to do 10 things you didn't know about me.
00:04 So this is my first time in the Philippines and I've only stayed in the Manila area for the time being.
00:22 Which is a bit of a shame, obviously if there was time I would have been to other places.
00:28 I mean I'm not a huge beach fan but I hear the beaches here are nice, that would have been great.
00:35 I'll come back here one day for that.
00:39 Yeah I'm kind of glad I'm a mouse or a rodent.
00:48 Behind the zodiac story when it comes to the whole race between all the zodiacs,
00:56 Rat wins in it. He won because of his cunningness and smart quick thinking.
01:05 I think I try to be as smart as I can or go right through shortcuts if possible.
01:16 Nobody told you life was supposed to be that hard. I mean life is hard but you don't have to make it
01:24 harder for yourself. It's already hard enough.
01:26 For the vegetable part I think I like Gising Gising and for the meat I think Adobos.
01:38 Adobos are nice, chicken adobos.
01:40 So you guys have that garlic rice, Gising Gising, Adobo and then there's this squid,
01:49 little bits of squid, like baby squids but dipped in like oil or olive oil I assume,
01:55 or like pesto. I think those are great.
01:56 This is a weird combination. I did this when I was in university.
02:01 This has nothing to do with Filipino food or Korean food.
02:05 I made a arugula ham cheese sandwich but instead of the butter when you jam anything,
02:14 I use Nutella and I know it's chocolate sandwich basically.
02:19 It kind of works you know. I've made my English friends try it.
02:25 They were kind of hating the fact that it works and plus I'm a huge chocolate lover
02:31 and arugula sandwich itself is great.
02:35 If you combine that together it's good on good. How bad can it be right?
02:40 When it comes to books I think I'm a very fiction lover sort of person so
02:44 if you haven't you really should.
02:48 You should definitely read all the books from Roald Dahl.
02:51 Roald Dahl has one of the best childhood memories I had from reading it
02:56 and that's what made me actually love for watching films.
03:02 I first loved reading books when I was young and then I could grow on the fact that oh
03:08 these are the films based on these books I love.
03:10 Oh I should watch this and then I've quite grown a fond of watching great films.
03:16 I watched The Green Book recently. Great film, great film.
03:20 Moneyball, I watched Moneyball recently.
03:23 Snatch if you love a bit of good old action comedy, drama.
03:29 I definitely recommend Snatch. It's a Guy Ritchie film.
03:32 One of my favourite directors.
03:35 I do a lot of rock climbing that's indoors and outdoors.
03:39 I've done indoor climbing for like two and a half years now
03:42 and I've done my first outdoor rock climbing in LA last year around May I think, May, June.
03:52 When I was injured from rock climbing after like this hamstring injury, shoulder, whatever, ankle,
03:58 I couldn't obviously climb, I couldn't go to the gym which frustrated me
04:05 and I had to find a different source to make my mental state calmer.
04:11 So I decided to paint and I realised whilst I'm painting I'm not thinking about anything.
04:19 I'm just focused on what's in front of me, what the canvas is, what colour am I going into it.
04:26 So yeah I've grown quite a fond of painting.
04:31 In high school I remember my career counsellor, she said,
04:37 "What do you like to do for university or your career?"
04:41 Back then I was really into dancing.
04:43 I think any Korean kid at one point he wanted to become an idol, celebrity or something right?
04:48 And then I was into dancing and then I remember I said, "Oh I want to be a dancer."
04:53 And then my career counsellor said, "No."
04:56 I was like, "Pfft, what's that?"
04:59 If I now think about it I'll be like, "You what? Why would you say that?
05:03 You're such a party pooper."
05:05 But I get that.
05:06 She said, "No."
05:09 And then I said, "Oh okay."
05:10 Then she asked me, "What's your next favourite thing to do?"
05:14 I said, "I like watching films."
05:16 And she said, "Why don't you become a film critic then?"
05:20 But back then when I was young I had this image towards people who are older than me,
05:25 the seniors, they all had this negative effect on their job or how they approach their job.
05:35 And I always asked them, "How did you choose this job? Why do you hate it so much?"
05:40 And then they all seemed to answer in a positive way first.
05:44 They said, "Oh I was good at this job."
05:47 "Oh I kind of like this."
05:48 And then they somehow ironically became a state where they hated what they're doing.
05:57 So I was just thinking, "Oh wow, I don't want to be that. I don't want to not like watching films."
06:03 So simply I thought, "Alright, why don't I just be a person in the film
06:08 and still be able to enjoy my little hobby of mine, watching films?"
06:13 And that's how I simply chose to become an actor.
06:17 And then that's when I chose drama.
06:20 I took drama university as well.
06:22 And then here I am doing an interview with you guys.
06:26 His name is Gu Ha-Joon.
06:28 He is very comfy with money.
06:34 He's a confident yet fragile boy.
06:38 Not a man yet, a boy who is learning to find love and forgiveness.
06:48 Towards the people around him.
06:49 Hi Preview, that was 10 Things You Didn't Know About Me.
06:53 Hope you enjoyed it.
06:55 And make sure to subscribe on Preview.
06:57 And make sure to watch my series, Secret Ingredient.
