Is PTI going to regain bat symbol? Hamid Khan's Analysis
Transcript
00:00 Let's move ahead a little. There are legal challenges in the judicial system.
00:03 We can see that the party's own signature,
00:07 the party's own identity along with the sign of the bat,
00:13 has legal challenges.
00:15 How far has the matter reached?
00:17 Sir, you have had an inter-party election.
00:19 Obviously, the case of the bat will be filed on Monday.
00:25 So, do you think the bat's signature is being recovered?
00:28 Look, this case is pending in the review.
00:31 We have not yet seen any news of it.
00:34 And it is a very disappointing thing that the Supreme Court
00:38 has not made any kind of cooperation with the PTI.
00:43 You can guess from this that the two very important cases
00:47 that I have petitioned as a lawyer on behalf of Imam Khan
00:52 for the judicial inquiry of the 9th of May incident
00:58 and for the change of the election results of 8th of February,
01:04 both these petitions are pending.
01:07 One is due to be filed on 25th of May,
01:11 the other has been pending for two months.
01:15 It is beyond our understanding that such important petitions
01:19 are being filed on both the cases,
01:22 which are being dependent on the legitimacy of the Pakistan government.
01:30 Why is the Chief Justice not fixing them?
01:33 Why is the Judges Committee, which has to fix the petitions of Article 184,
01:43 not doing it?
01:45 This is a very big obstacle for us.
01:47 We are facing many doubts.
01:52 It is a question of legitimacy, the elections of 8th of February.
01:57 The case should be fixed as soon as possible.
02:01 But the case of the special petition has been fixed on Monday.
02:05 Yes, on Monday, 8th.
02:07 Yes, on 8th.
02:08 So how much hope do you have in that?
02:10 Our bench is relatively better.
02:17 We hope that a decision will be made in this.
02:22 Okay, legally, you are not so hopeful about the ballot.
02:27 I thought you were a little hopeful about the special petitions.
02:31 The political engagement, the talk of moving forward, Mr. Mohammad Khan,
02:37 we are seeing clear signs of that.
02:41 You meet Mr. Imran Khan, you are usually a part of this process.
02:46 So, is there any progress being made in the political engagement with the different parties and stakeholders?
02:54 We are always ready to talk to the parties that did not steal the elections.
03:01 We have a meeting with the leaders of the Jamaat-e-Islami in Mansura.
03:11 We have told the Jamaat-e-Islami that we will work together for the protection of the constitution.
03:20 And in the future, we will work together in the functions and seminars.
03:24 We have already on-boarded other parties, like the party of Mr. Ajay Zahid and Mr. Raksha Menon.
03:34 We are also talking to the JUIF because they did not steal our seats.
03:42 We are not negotiating with just three parties because they have stolen our mandate,
03:48 which includes PMLN, People's Party and NQM.
03:53 We are always ready to talk to the parties.
03:56 But the problem is that you are ready to talk to the Muqtadara,
03:59 but not with the political stakeholders.
04:02 Is this the difference between the two?
04:04 No, there is no such thing.
04:07 We just don't want to talk to those who have stolen our mandate.
04:12 But you want to talk to those who are being accused of stealing our mandate.
04:15 Mr. Khan has increased the pressure in his article, but your party wants to talk to them.
04:20 No, this is not the right way.
04:24 We want to talk to the governments that are not the government of the Republic of India.
04:34 What will be the way forward?
04:37 The parties, the government, the parties that you think have stolen your mandate,
04:42 which is obviously a controversial result,
04:45 you don't want to talk to them.
04:47 The Muqtadara thinks that they don't want to talk to you.
04:50 The things you want to talk to are definitely on the fringes.
04:53 So how will this matter be dealt with?
04:55 Will the matters remain in limbo?
04:58 Look, until the 8th of February election is not properly audited,
05:03 according to Form 45,
05:05 the Form 47 people are sitting there,
05:08 until the Form 45 is not properly audited,
05:14 it is not possible to talk about this matter further.
05:17 Because according to us, these people have not even been elected legally.
05:21 According to us, the Prime Minister has lost his election in his circle in Lahore.
05:26 According to Form 45,
05:29 Similarly, the Chief Minister of Punjab,
05:34 we think he is losing.
05:37 Mr. Nawaz Sharif is losing to Yasmin Rashid.
05:42 How can you give such people your mandate,
05:46 who have not even been legally elected?
