00:03 - People do love their long shots here.
00:05 And of course, as you've told us,
00:07 there are countless ways to play this, right?
00:09 You grab a 40 to one horse,
00:10 you're not only stuck with to win,
00:13 to place, to show, you know, as much as I'm aware of,
00:16 who are you looking further down this board
00:19 to put some action on here at the Derby?
00:21 - I wanna fool around with track Phantom at 40 to one,
00:24 I think is a horse that maybe is a little bit
00:26 on the outside looking in as a true win contender.
00:30 But in a single race, you can play exactus,
00:32 you can play trifectas, superfectus.
00:34 Maybe in that situation, I'm gonna key horses
00:37 like Sierra Leone and Forever Young on top.
00:40 And then we use horses like Fierceness,
00:42 who's very, very logical.
00:43 And then a big long shot like track Phantom
00:45 on the bottom of exactus and trifectus.
00:47 If track Phantom was currently trading
00:49 at around 40, 45 to one,
00:51 you get second or third, it's gonna make your payouts,
00:54 even if one of the favorites win.
00:56 - Yeah, and that is again,
00:58 the great thing about horse betting,
01:00 so many different ways to attack
01:03 what a lot of people believe are the most exciting
01:05 two minutes in sports.
01:07 So Dan, tell me, outside of the Derby today,
01:09 because we wanna get, you know, the horse racing,
01:11 it's not just one race,
01:13 there's so much that people can do today.
01:15 What are some of the other races
01:17 that you're starting to key on here on this Saturday?
01:20 - One of the major bets I wanna make today
01:22 is race number 10.
01:24 That's the Churchill Down Stakes for sprinters.
01:26 And it's very easy to remember.
01:27 Race number 10, I like number 10.
01:30 His name is Gun Pilot,
01:31 and he's been trained by Steve Aspey,
01:33 so he's a Hall of Fame trainer.
01:34 Steve treated this horse like he was very good last year.
01:37 He had him on the Kentucky Derby trail as a three-year-old,
01:40 and then backed off after a couple of subpar efforts.
01:43 He's now raced three times as a four-year-old,
01:45 and you can just see the maturity.
01:47 He's gotten bigger, he's gotten stronger.
01:50 He won his first two races this year,
01:52 and in his most recent start, he was a hard-charging second.
01:55 This is a horse with a lot of upside potential,
01:57 and he's currently 10-1 on the track's morning line.
02:00 If I could get 8-1 on Gun Pilot,
02:02 I'm gonna send it in on him
02:04 in the Churchill Down Stakes race 10.
