00:00The bold and the beautiful cast scored a lot of Emmy nominations this year and among them

00:04is Catherine Kelly Lang. But she has a very special person that made it all happen and

00:09it's none other than XB and B star, Krista Allen. Let's get into it right away!

00:19The biggest time of the year is finally coming soon and it's the Daytime Emmy Awards happening

00:23on June 7, 2024. This year, like always, we've got some top-notch competition. But there

00:29is one familiar name that's been popping up in every category. We're talking about Bold

00:34and the Beautiful and its talented actors. We've got a bunch of B&B actors nominated

00:39for the Emmy like Torsten K, Scott Clifton, Ashley Jones, John the Cook, Annika Noel and

00:45last but definitely not the least, Catherine Kelly Lang. Lang has been nominated for the

00:49Lead Actress category in the Daytime Emmy for her role as Brooke Logan. And the major

00:54credit goes to Krista Allen aka ex-Taylor Hayes who was let go from the show in October

00:592023. For years, Brooke and Taylor have always fought with each, for mostly men, well, Ridge

01:05in particular. They always brought out each other's worst, which the fans love to see.

01:10Nevertheless, it seems like now their bad relationship has finally brought out some

01:14good. Last year, it was Allen who got nominated for an Emmy because of it and this year it's

01:19Lang. And as she is always in the spotlight, she's got a lot to choose from. But over the

01:25years, she's got a technique for that as well.

01:28I prefer to use something more subtle, but subtle doesn't usually win the Emmy. This

01:33year, I was lucky because my scenes with Krista Allen's Taylor gave me both subtle stuff and

01:37bigger, more confrontational material, she said. While Taylor played a big part in bringing

01:42out the best of Brooke in the scene, Lang had a couple of help from others as well for

01:46the selection. First, she took feedback from Amy Farina, who has been running her fan club

01:50for years, and also the bold and beautiful supervising producer Casey Kasperczyk and

01:55vice president of communications and talent relations Eva Basler. She gathers all their

02:00views on it, which usually aligns with hers and ultimately, it's always the first set

02:04of opinions that she goes back to, which are usually right.

02:07While we're super happy for Lang's nominations, the fans definitely miss Taylor and Brooke's

02:11rivalry or the short friendship we saw on screen. People still wish for Taylor to return

02:16and honestly, Brooke feels kind of bland without her. But don't worry, because a new villain

02:21for Brooke will soon arrive in town. She'll find one, I have no doubt. I mean, she has

02:27to, right? That's what makes it fun, having someone to go head-to-head with, she said.
