00:02:55 take only on the DK horse app today is Friday May 3rd and the
00:03:00 Philadelphia 76ers are dead sadly sadly the closest six-game
00:03:06 series in the history of the sport the Knicks ended up winning
00:03:09 the series by one point.
00:03:10 It was an awesome series.
00:03:11 Yeah, it was a great series.
00:03:13 It came down to the last seconds of the last you know game
00:03:17 six obviously we didn't get we were robbed of a game seven.
00:03:19 I wanted to game seven so bad.
00:03:21 I wanted a game and so bad.
00:03:22 I know we're not supposed to look ahead in the playoffs.
00:03:24 I wanted to game seven.
00:03:26 I wanted the Sixers truly to win the series.
00:03:29 I wanted them to advance.
00:03:31 I wanted Celtic Sixers at some point down the line looking
00:03:35 ahead and I feel like we were robbed of that but credit to
00:03:37 the Knicks the Knicks they were the Knicks and they're a very
00:03:41 good team.
00:03:41 Well coach fun to watch it.
00:03:44 They're they're just dogs.
00:03:46 They just dominate the offensive glass.
00:03:48 They they they are a mirror image of their coach Jalen Brunson
00:03:53 had a tough first what couple games he then finished the last
00:03:58 four games of this series 39 points 47 points 40 points 41
00:04:02 points.
00:04:02 Yeah crazy controlled the whole game control it all.
00:04:05 Also, I noticed that I think Tibbs might be going bald.
00:04:07 Have you noticed that you just noticed that I'm Tibbett.
00:04:10 Oh, I think he's going I think I it's been a ball for a while.
00:04:13 It's probably reached the time like I didn't notice until
00:04:16 now because he's always had a little bit of hair on there.
00:04:18 He's got the he's got the like couple couple strands that are
00:04:22 swooped over to give you the illusion of hair.
00:04:25 No.
00:04:25 Yeah, I know.
00:04:25 I've noticed for seven years, but it's time Tom.
00:04:29 Yeah, Doc Rivers also talk rivers bald.
00:04:32 Well, he's got the line and then there's just nothing on top.
00:04:36 Yeah, it's like it's it's almost like like when when they
00:04:40 basically, you know, when manifest destiny and we started
00:04:42 making States out West and like, all right, we're just going
00:04:44 to do we should make this one a rectangle.
00:04:46 Yeah, he's Utah Utah.
00:04:48 He's you cause you order.
00:04:50 Yeah.
00:04:50 Yeah.
00:04:50 No, but Tom Tom is I probably the goat of it's time to come
00:04:55 home.
00:04:55 Yeah, but it's also never but he's not going to do it.
00:04:57 Yeah, because he that's what he doesn't care.
00:05:00 He doesn't cares about basketball.
00:05:01 Yeah, that's it.
00:05:02 If he's getting a haircut, that's less time that he's grinding
00:05:04 film.
00:05:04 Yeah, I did see one Knicks fan that was really impressed.
00:05:06 This was I think maybe over the weekend Tom Thibodeau was
00:05:10 pumping gas at a gas station.
00:05:11 Somebody took a picture of me like, oh my God, Tom Thibodeau
00:05:14 gritty guy even pumps his own gas.
00:05:16 That's wild.
00:05:18 Yeah, that man pumps his own gas.
00:05:20 That's nuts.
00:05:20 It's crazy.
00:05:21 That must be a New Jersey Nick fan.
00:05:23 I guess so.
00:05:23 Yeah, they don't pump their own gas.
00:05:25 Yeah, it was it was a great series.
00:05:26 I wish we would have had another game.
00:05:28 I liked it back and forth between New York and Philly to
00:05:31 I like the fact that New York is all in it's good.
00:05:33 It's a it's a good sports sound when they have a good team
00:05:35 that's cooking.
00:05:36 Oh, yeah, so I'm I'm excited for the city of New York.
00:05:39 I feel bad for the city of Philadelphia.
00:05:42 However, happy Tobias Harris is no longer your problem day
00:05:46 Max.
00:05:47 Yeah, Max also you said at the end of the game.
00:05:51 This one feels different.
00:05:53 I agree with you, but I didn't hear your reasoning.
00:05:55 So unload on us.
00:05:57 Well, first of all, this is the first offseason where we
00:06:02 have cap space and we have some room to make some a difference
00:06:06 in our line on James.
00:06:07 Maybe LeBron James maybe Paul to Villanova, which I don't
00:06:11 necessarily like obviously it would be nice to get Paul
00:06:14 Georgia LeBron James and even if we don't like just using
00:06:17 that Tobias money to go get guys like Dante like the role
00:06:20 players that.
00:06:21 The Knicks had who are really good that going get guys like
00:06:25 that who can surround and beat and hit shots, which to be
00:06:28 fair tonight.
00:06:29 All the role players were fantastic.
00:06:32 So I can't even really complain about that except for Tobias
00:06:34 Harris.
00:06:34 Yeah, zero points last game is a sixer and the Knicks role
00:06:37 players were not good.
00:06:38 Yeah, they had five.
00:06:39 They had five points off the bench.
00:06:40 Like their starters did every so like that was something
00:06:43 that like going into the series going like going into the
00:06:46 night.
00:06:46 That's what that was like the silver lining like in the back
00:06:49 of your head and it also feels different like I know Joe
00:06:54 Ellenbead gets a ton of shit.
00:06:55 He had a great series.
00:06:56 He had a fantastic series minus all the WWE shit minus the
00:07:00 WWE shit.
00:07:01 Yes.
00:07:02 Yes - the WWE shit, but he was really good tonight closeout
00:07:06 game.
00:07:07 That's a huge gripe that he's had against him in his whole
00:07:09 career agreed is that he's been terrible in closeout games.
00:07:11 He was fantastic tonight 39 points absolute dog third quarter
00:07:16 like really kept us in it when Maxie couldn't really do
00:07:18 anything the end of the game Maxie kind of Maxie was the one
00:07:22 that hit the big and one to tie it up and we just made plays
00:07:27 in this series that were very different than past Sixers
00:07:31 losses a lot of other times.
00:07:32 It was like we choked we choked the Celtic series.
00:07:36 We choked the Hawk series and you go into the offseason be
00:07:39 like, what are we going to do?
00:07:40 What are we going to do?
00:07:41 Like last year?
00:07:43 We're like we're going to lose James Harden.
00:07:44 We're going to be a worse team next year.
00:07:46 How are we going to come back from this?
00:07:47 It was he was he was like he was on a really good path there
00:07:53 and it was like a rational reasoned Max that we were getting
00:07:58 sorry and you know what and you might I don't think that we
00:08:00 were I don't think that we were worse this year personal
00:08:02 growth for Max because in that moment Max wanted to jump
00:08:06 through the glass and strangle Hank with his microphone
00:08:08 cord.
00:08:08 Yeah, Max took a deep breath composed himself.
00:08:11 I think he's on the right track Hank.
00:08:12 Please don't do that again.
00:08:13 I apologize.
00:08:14 Sorry Max.
00:08:15 You're not but it was also it also was a very funny you were
00:08:19 incorrect.
00:08:20 Yes.
00:08:20 Well, yes, Joelle and bead missed 50% of the season.
00:08:23 So yes, technically they won less games this year than they
00:08:26 did the year prior.
00:08:28 Correct.
00:08:28 So good job Hank didn't go as far in the playoffs.
00:08:30 Well, yeah when you're the seventh seed and you have to go
00:08:32 to the two seed in the first round.
00:08:34 It's not exactly the same.
00:08:35 Right?
00:08:35 So so you maybe were maybe get a little bit of context one
00:08:38 time.
00:08:38 Hey, well, maybe you know if you build yes, technically when
00:08:41 that's something out of class and they wouldn't miss half the
00:08:43 regular season then they could go and have a better season.
00:08:45 These are all for the playoffs.
00:08:46 He's trying to cut your mic.
00:08:48 He's like, I actually think it's fair points on all sides.
00:08:52 That's not a great conversation.
00:08:54 Really good.
00:08:54 Hank is upset that I'm acting rationally right now and he
00:08:58 wants me to get angry and I'm not going to do it.
00:09:00 You're not going to do it.
00:09:00 We're not even going to bring up the butt crack.
00:09:02 The butt crack was bad.
00:09:05 It wasn't that bad.
00:09:06 It wasn't that bad.
00:09:06 I see more of your ass on daily basis.
00:09:08 Yeah, but do you understand like watching this series?
00:09:10 There were so many things that were not six or like, yes, that
00:09:13 happened.
00:09:14 I agree with you, but the way that you're it.
00:09:16 I think you're a hundred percent right and it's all positive
00:09:19 stuff.
00:09:20 Like I think that this is something that you can build off
00:09:22 of your being people want you to be sad and angry.
00:09:28 And yes, there is that part of it.
00:09:30 But with the cap space and the way they fought in this series,
00:09:34 especially John B, like having injuries, illnesses, everything
00:09:39 and Tyrese Maxey kind of taking that next step of like, oh
00:09:42 fuck, he is a killer.
00:09:43 I agree with you.
00:09:45 I it sucks that the Sixers lost, but you're looking to next
00:09:50 year being like, okay, this if we can add this one piece, we
00:09:54 might be in a really good spot next year.
00:09:56 So I fair points and people want you to be you're being you're
00:10:00 being real.
00:10:01 You've always been real.
00:10:03 Yeah.
00:10:03 No, I don't like this is how I'm feeling right now.
00:10:05 I could go on like do this whole act of like getting really
00:10:09 angry and just like this is how I'm feeling right now about
00:10:12 when the podcast ends and you're going to sleep, you know,
00:10:14 scroll on Twitter and you see all the videos of next fans
00:10:17 walking out of your home stadium.
00:10:19 Young fucking bead.
00:10:21 You're just that is that going to anger you?
00:10:23 Yeah, it sucks.
00:10:25 But yes, yes, that will anger me.
00:10:27 What about that?
00:10:27 What do you want me to say?
00:10:28 I was just curious.
00:10:29 No, I was just asking a question.
00:10:30 Just curious.
00:10:31 Journalists could keep going.
00:10:33 I think Max Jalen Brunson.
00:10:38 Is this obviously it was hard for you to root against your
00:10:42 Nova guys, but there were moments in this series where it
00:10:45 felt like this relationship with Jalen Brunson might not recover
00:10:49 because you were getting very angry.
00:10:51 He does a really good job of being try on of stopping in the
00:10:56 lane of getting contact of finishing through contact.
00:10:59 He's not one of those guys that one of my least favorite things
00:11:02 that happens.
00:11:03 The NBA is guys who constantly look for contact but aren't
00:11:06 trying to actually finish the basketball.
00:11:07 He does both exceptionally.
00:11:10 Well, are how are you feeling about your Nova Knicks in that
00:11:14 relationship?
00:11:15 Josh Hart also just an absolute dog.
00:11:18 He's never seen an offensive rebound that he didn't think
00:11:20 he'd get.
00:11:21 How are you feeling?
00:11:22 It's I need like two days.
00:11:26 Yeah.
00:11:27 And also like I was getting very mad about the Brunson plays,
00:11:31 but it's also not necessarily me getting mad at Brunson.
00:11:35 If he is such a he is such a savvy acts like a guy who's
00:11:39 played in the league for 15 years and knows the game so well
00:11:43 like he knows he's getting those calls, right?
00:11:45 He should continue to to try to get those calls.
00:11:49 But if the league is made an emphasis on taking away that
00:11:53 play and then just continuing to give it to him time and time
00:11:56 again, it was very frustrating for me to see.
00:11:59 Yeah, and I agree with you that Maxie does not get the same
00:12:02 calls that Brunson gets Brunson.
00:12:04 I think the difference is that Brunson he plays a little bit
00:12:08 more under control when he's driving.
00:12:09 He seems like he's got his feet under him when Maxie drive
00:12:13 sometimes he's so fast.
00:12:14 Yeah, he'll run past and he'll just start flying through the
00:12:17 air and it looks like he got hit by a car.
00:12:19 I know I think that I think that Tyree's actually kind of
00:12:22 plays me.
00:12:23 We don't know maybe don't know with a troll, but you forgot
00:12:26 about that Matt Hank when you tell you they were worse.
00:12:28 Kelly O'Brien might have gotten hit by a car, but he also
00:12:31 might not have gotten hit by a car.
00:12:32 Correct.
00:12:33 I don't know and he also crashed his Lambo a couple weeks
00:12:35 ago Schrodinger's wreck, but that one was real.
00:12:38 I think but but Max what I'm saying is like that's something
00:12:41 that he can work on because right now he's just focused on
00:12:44 getting getting the shot off getting to the basket.
00:12:46 He'll learn with more time and I think he'll eventually start
00:12:50 to get those calls because this was a postseason where Maxie
00:12:53 stepped up and it's like, okay, this is an emerging superstar
00:12:56 right now.
00:12:56 I think it's all it's just the type of player to like Jalen
00:12:59 Brown's just so good and he his his body control and he knows
00:13:03 exactly when a guy has is in a bad position and like when
00:13:08 we're talking to Caruso about it on Monday his angles like
00:13:11 if you if you just shift a little bit he knows, okay, I have
00:13:14 you and I also can get you in a position where you're going
00:13:17 to you're going to leave your feet.
00:13:19 I'm going to get a foul and I also can score.
00:13:21 I think I think Max you'll learn some of that but I think
00:13:25 that that's there.
00:13:26 They're two different games and I don't think that they should
00:13:28 switch like Maxie at times.
00:13:31 Yes looks out of control, but he knows exactly the positioning
00:13:36 of like where he is in relation to the basket and where exactly
00:13:40 he needs to put the ball on the glass for it to go in right.
00:13:43 There's so many times where like he will he put up a shot
00:13:46 around the rim and it will have zero angle to it, but he knows
00:13:50 exactly where to put it and what spin to put on it for it to
00:13:52 go in.
00:13:53 So it's kind of like it's a little bit of controlled chaos
00:13:56 that I think for Maxie and I think that's part of what makes
00:13:58 him really good.
00:13:59 He wasn't great tonight.
00:14:01 He was not yet a bad.
00:14:02 Yeah, he was bad.
00:14:03 He looked a little lost in the beginning of the game.
00:14:05 His shot was way off.
00:14:06 Yeah, Hank actually winced when I said emerging superstar and
00:14:10 Maxie and we forgot to say buddy healed and buddy healed
00:14:13 buddy healed game.
00:14:14 He finally shot credible.
00:14:15 He finally shot and they went in the buddy healed game.
00:14:18 So also campaign game camp.
00:14:20 Well, every game is a campaign game per campaign.
00:14:22 He tried to get his revenge against Villanova.
00:14:24 Yeah, you love that story.
00:14:27 What is going on out there?
00:14:28 What a story line in the final.
00:14:29 They brought that up in the broadcast.
00:14:31 Yeah, it's like a great storyline.
00:14:33 Thank you.
00:14:33 Wince.
00:14:34 I imagine that there are some listeners out there that winced
00:14:35 as well.
00:14:36 You do not think that Maxie is an emerging superstar.
00:14:39 No, no, no, he is.
00:14:40 He's young enough.
00:14:41 He's good.
00:14:42 He's got potential.
00:14:43 Maybe get him out of Philly and he'll really, you know, take
00:14:46 the next step.
00:14:47 I mean, Tyrese Maxie is better than Jalen Brown for sure.
00:14:53 And you would trade Jalen Brown for Tyrese Maxie immediately
00:14:58 trade off for right now.
00:15:00 You take somebody Photoshop Max's face with a soul patch onto
00:15:04 it onto that guy trade off.
00:15:05 No, I find that I find that trade.
00:15:10 Yeah, Hank.
00:15:11 I think I think he takes that trade.
00:15:13 I think Brad seems to take that trade.
00:15:15 Yeah, maybe with their current contracts, but not off pure
00:15:19 skill. I mean Maxie is going to get a Mac Max contract this
00:15:22 summer. Jalen Brown just signed like the biggest contract in
00:15:24 NBA history and he was about to get traded.
00:15:27 Yeah.
00:15:27 Good good recap of the series Max.
00:15:32 I'm proud of you.
00:15:33 Yeah, that's just that's just genuinely how I'm feeling right
00:15:36 now. I'm sure some six inch fans will be all fake fan.
00:15:39 Why aren't you?
00:15:40 Why aren't you crying?
00:15:41 Like this is just how I'm feeling right now.
00:15:43 It feels different.
00:15:44 And it also feels like the right team won this series.
00:15:49 I know that you might disagree but you know, we had the game
00:15:51 to fiasco.
00:15:52 We also had game 5 which was crazy and it feels like it all
00:15:55 kind of evened out and the next were just the better team inside
00:15:59 this series like it just in you could say injury you say whatever
00:16:02 you want, but I think that when you have that result where you
00:16:06 like, yeah, if they kept on playing if they played a million
00:16:08 seven game series, I think the next would take four before
00:16:11 the the Sixers every time in this iteration.
00:16:14 No every time if they play the series a million in this exact
00:16:18 setup with Embiid hurt sick everything.
00:16:22 I just think the next were like a million times.
00:16:25 They get okay.
00:16:26 Maybe not a million times.
00:16:27 I'm sorry.
00:16:27 I think if it was a 10 series series, yeah, I think I think
00:16:32 that makes would win.
00:16:33 I'd say like six.
00:16:35 I think they'd win.
00:16:36 Yeah out of 10 seven games.
00:16:37 Yes, I agree.
00:16:38 I agree with a 10 game a 10 series series.
00:16:40 It was one or nine.
00:16:42 I know but it was one day one four games before the yeah, but
00:16:47 like you would but but to say that if they do that series a
00:16:50 million times, they're going to win a million.
00:16:53 Shut up about a million.
00:16:54 Also, it's called the hyperbole.
00:16:55 900,000 out of a million.
00:16:57 Also a 10 series series is a ridiculous format should be an
00:17:00 11 series.
00:17:01 Do you think the right team won this series?
00:17:03 The Knicks played very hard.
00:17:08 The better team the Knicks played very hard team on this
00:17:10 series.
00:17:11 I'm sorry to say it a million times is wrong.
00:17:14 I strike a million times on the record.
00:17:16 When do we fucking do next played very when we do semantics
00:17:19 police here.
00:17:19 It's crazy back me up.
00:17:21 I think part of it too.
00:17:22 It's kind of sad to see as it's unfolded, but I think Max is
00:17:28 just, you know, resigned to losing these games.
00:17:31 Yeah, he's numb.
00:17:32 He was a little green when he came on the podcast and he was
00:17:34 excited and he wanted to, you know, it's over be passionate
00:17:37 Philly fan and now he just knows like he's going to lose every
00:17:41 time he watched in the gambling cave.
00:17:42 He's like, I always lose in here.
00:17:44 Yeah, he wasn't here.
00:17:45 He wants to games over.
00:17:47 He's happy that he doesn't have to.
00:17:48 Yeah, it's like, yeah, he wasn't going to win the title.
00:17:51 So it's like, yeah, he wanted to win this series, but the
00:17:54 loss was coming eventually.
00:17:55 Yeah, the what used to be a bright sunshiny day when he got
00:17:59 to the playoffs.
00:17:59 It turns out that light is a free train.
00:18:01 He did have a bounce in his step today though.
00:18:03 It was nice to see him bouncing around.
00:18:05 He kind of floats when he's got that going.
00:18:07 He does.
00:18:07 It was good.
00:18:08 Yesterday.
00:18:09 I literally spent from morning until I went to sleep consuming
00:18:13 all Tyrese Maxey content.
00:18:15 I listened to every podcast that talked about him.
00:18:18 I watched every ESPN high like you to violate and it was great.
00:18:22 It was like so much fun to just be like, yeah, that's I mean,
00:18:26 we say it a million times.
00:18:27 If you're you sports suck rooting for sports suck.
00:18:31 Your team is not going to win 99% of the time.
00:18:34 Yeah, so you got to enjoy the ride and you got to enjoy the
00:18:36 big wins when they happen.
00:18:38 Speaking of Hank, we'll talk about the Bucks Pacers, but Hank
00:18:44 you have taken down the heat for one.
00:18:47 Easy win easy to win.
00:18:51 Yeah, didn't even break a sweat.
00:18:53 Didn't even break a sweat.
00:18:54 Congrats.
00:18:54 You held him to what under 90 points.
00:18:57 He scored over a hundred again.
00:18:59 Just demolition bench players played like last 10 minutes of
00:19:03 the game.
00:19:03 Yeah, the you're going to be fresh.
00:19:06 Every other team in the East is like injured or you know, Yannis
00:19:10 is out and Pete is out.
00:19:11 Well, yeah, the whole Sixers team is out.
00:19:15 No, I'm that's what I'm saying.
00:19:16 They're out of the playoffs.
00:19:16 He wasn't talking about injuries.
00:19:18 Yeah, Yannis is out of the playoffs as well.
00:19:20 Got it.
00:19:20 You still going to be measured sound by game sour puss.
00:19:28 Cocky Hank.
00:19:30 I'm positive vibes.
00:19:32 I've always been positive vibes.
00:19:33 I'm just, you know, calm cool collected.
00:19:35 But but I have I have an offer for you Hank.
00:19:40 You're going to kill the East tank.
00:19:42 What do you got?
00:19:42 Because we do need cocky Hank back.
00:19:45 So I'm willing to negotiate on one point.
00:19:48 If cocky Hank does not make a return in this next series, sounds
00:19:55 like ransom.
00:19:55 He's negotiating if he doesn't come back.
00:19:59 Okay, I'll put it this way.
00:20:00 If cocky Hank does come back.
00:20:04 We won't release the Hank and Drake May t-shirt.
00:20:07 Okay.
00:20:09 Do you want that t-shirt out?
00:20:12 I mean that picture is coming out and like, oh no, no, no,
00:20:16 that is no, I'd like I did update it.
00:20:19 There is an hour Bruins flag in the Leafs flag in the back.
00:20:22 I want to release that and and start that I will come.
00:20:25 I will come back and that's fine.
00:20:26 But I know you're going to hold it over my head.
00:20:28 No matter what like it's one of those things where if you're
00:20:30 going to do it this way, if you're just I'm not like, no,
00:20:32 we're going to keep asking you to do stuff and if you don't
00:20:34 do it, we'll release a picture just fucking release it.
00:20:37 No, I want I listen to go share with Tara.
00:20:40 I'm not I don't I I'm throwing the picture side.
00:20:42 I just want cocky Hank because you know, I know we all know
00:20:49 the Celtics are going to the finals.
00:20:50 You know, the East is a cakewalk.
00:20:51 There we go.
00:20:53 Yeah, come on the cakewalk.
00:20:55 It should be they should lose one maybe two games.
00:20:57 What did I say?
00:20:58 Original?
00:20:59 Yeah.
00:20:59 Yeah, whatever you said.
00:21:00 He said seven and a half.
00:21:02 It's going to be it should be three the over under should be
00:21:05 three maybe one series next next game, which would you're
00:21:08 playing the Cavs of the magic next?
00:21:10 Yeah, come on.
00:21:12 I where where do they even show these games?
00:21:15 There we go.
00:21:16 NBA TV.
00:21:17 Yeah, like that.
00:21:18 We're playing the NBA TV.
00:21:19 Fuckin they're barely even televised on the play in games.
00:21:23 Yeah, people like logging into their parents YouTube account.
00:21:25 Oh man, kid.
00:21:26 All right, Hank's back.
00:21:28 Here's the thing Hank.
00:21:29 I fully understand when like all we want is cocky Hank for the
00:21:32 rest of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
00:21:33 Once you get to the final you can be you can deal with the
00:21:37 finals.
00:21:37 However, you want to because that's a totally different Beast
00:21:40 and there's a lot of really good teams in the West.
00:21:43 The East is a joke right now.
00:21:44 The East is a joke and as much as it's fun as it is to beat
00:21:47 up on Philly and Philly fans in the playoffs.
00:21:49 It has kind of gotten a little bit.
00:21:51 I guess stale just because it's happened, you know, over and
00:21:53 they're done that.
00:21:54 Yeah, Knicks fans.
00:21:55 Oh, they're high fresh.
00:21:57 They're riding high on it.
00:21:59 They got the whole yeah, I'm high.
00:22:01 They think you're shit.
00:22:02 It would be great for them to beat Indiana probably in like
00:22:05 seven games and then get all excited.
00:22:09 Everyone's hyped up the garden buzzing and then just come out
00:22:12 and smoke.
00:22:12 Yeah, we got the Big Apple against the big asshole.
00:22:15 Yeah, come on.
00:22:16 Yeah, I'm back.
00:22:17 I want Knicks fans Channing.
00:22:19 We want Hank after they win game one against Indiana.
00:22:22 It is ridiculous that they I think it was after game two.
00:22:24 They said we want Boston.
00:22:26 Yeah, I mean, I love that.
00:22:27 It's worse.
00:22:28 I mean, they have more delusional than Philly.
00:22:31 No, but here's what here's what's crazy about how likable
00:22:34 this Knicks team is how hard they play is they have turned
00:22:37 the city of New York into an underdog which is so hard to
00:22:40 do Knicks fans fucking suck.
00:22:42 Now.
00:22:43 I'm talking about that.
00:22:44 I'm talking about the team.
00:22:45 I like I'm talking about the Knicks just the team not the
00:22:48 fans.
00:22:48 The team is fun to watch.
00:22:50 They're easy to root for so they're going to be a lot of
00:22:52 casuals.
00:22:52 Are they that I think so?
00:22:54 Yeah, they're they play hard.
00:22:55 I don't think New York's easy to root for on any sport.
00:22:57 I think they know I guess if they're playing the Celtics like
00:23:00 people are rooting for the Knicks and that's yeah.
00:23:02 Yeah, I just like I mean Nick listen when the Knicks are
00:23:04 good like New York is a basketball town first and it's like
00:23:08 they're never good right, but they're good now and oh not
00:23:13 good.
00:23:13 Cocky.
00:23:13 He just fucking go.
00:23:16 It must feel so good for Hank like you're letting it all.
00:23:18 Yeah, you're back.
00:23:19 Like I see it on your face.
00:23:20 You're back.
00:23:21 Well, I just had people are who you are.
00:23:23 He like the heat the heat.
00:23:24 He got you scared.
00:23:25 I had our number.
00:23:26 Yeah that game to game and it's like no no no like we this
00:23:29 can't be happening.
00:23:30 I got rattled and then you know the last two games back to
00:23:34 status quo game for us.
00:23:35 So I said it had to be three blowouts just get through the
00:23:37 series.
00:23:38 Yeah, did our guy Derek White has been insane.
00:23:40 Everything just opens up.
00:23:41 Yeah, the whole team's played well and Porzingis don't even
00:23:44 play him against whatever the cabarets just let him rest fully
00:23:50 healthy for Knicks or Indiana.
00:23:52 Wait, what that was?
00:23:53 The cavericks have you that's the Mavericks in the calves.
00:23:58 The kajik kajik kajiks the maverick the Magileer Magileers.
00:24:08 Yeah, it's good to have you back.
00:24:09 Yeah, it feels really good.
00:24:11 You know how like killer whales their dorsal fin curls over
00:24:14 when they're in captivity.
00:24:14 That was Hank Hank's Tokita.
00:24:16 Yeah, he's just been flown across the country.
00:24:18 Now his dorsal fins.
00:24:19 Hey, he was a dog with his tail between his legs.
00:24:21 Now he's wagging his tail again ready to go play some ball.
00:24:24 You're like Miss Peaches.
00:24:25 Yeah, let me take a kiss that tummy.
00:24:31 Oh, no, I feel good.
00:24:33 It feels like a weight just came off your shoulder because
00:24:35 I understand the heat were the boogeyman for you.
00:24:37 They're scary in the fact that nothing makes sense with the
00:24:40 heat, but now you dude the magic the calves.
00:24:45 Yeah, I said that again the the I the finals is a problem.
00:24:50 I'm not I'm not looking past the finals whatsoever.
00:24:53 That's going to be a whole different issue.
00:24:55 We just got to hope that we get in there.
00:24:57 Well rested Porzingis comes back healthy and the next you
00:25:03 know, two series in the West are just seven games seven games
00:25:05 seven games seven games.
00:25:06 Yeah, so that whoever injuries again, you're about not rooting
00:25:09 for injuries absolutely want that in the record.
00:25:11 I want every team at full health.
00:25:13 Okay.
00:25:14 Okay, that's big of you.
00:25:15 Speaking of full health the Bucks are out.
00:25:18 Giannis never played in this series.
00:25:20 It feels like he was pretty close if they got into a game
00:25:23 70 might have Dame came back and the Pacers.
00:25:28 I mean the Pacers played with their food on what was it Tuesday
00:25:30 night?
00:25:31 Yeah.
00:25:31 Yeah, they thought they could just roll out and win that game
00:25:33 without Damon Giannis there and credit the Bucks for showing
00:25:37 fight there, but the Pacers are fun.
00:25:39 They run up and down.
00:25:41 Halliburton is very fun.
00:25:42 Yeah, they're like, they're just a fun young team.
00:25:45 We have a lot of that going on in the playoffs right now.
00:25:47 And now the Bucks I feel like have like a lot of questions.
00:25:50 A lot of questions because the Bucks Giannis is still one of
00:25:53 the best players in the NBA, but there's a no, I don't want
00:25:59 to die.
00:25:59 You know what?
00:26:00 I'm not going to get into it because the Packers fans are
00:26:01 Bucks fans and I don't some people could say wait, why don't
00:26:06 you text it to me and then I'll say, okay.
00:26:07 I'll be all right.
00:26:08 Okay.
00:26:08 In the meantime, I'll just say that they do have a lot of weird
00:26:11 decisions.
00:26:12 They have to make because they don't know what they're going
00:26:14 to do with this new iteration of the Bucks team where they
00:26:16 got Dame they sacrifice defense, but then Dame gets injured.
00:26:19 Giannis gets injured.
00:26:20 So you don't really know what you have.
00:26:22 You don't know what pieces you truly need next year because
00:26:25 there wasn't a big enough sample of work against the best teams
00:26:27 to say where your team's really deficient.
00:26:29 So who knows what they're going to do?
00:26:30 They're going to throw a dart at the wall and figure out whether
00:26:33 they want to run it back whether they want to make a big change.
00:26:35 I don't know.
00:26:35 I know what the Bucks are going to do but credit to the Pacers
00:26:39 very fun team to watch.
00:26:40 But I have Hank's not worried Pat Bev felt ass Pat Bev ball
00:26:46 to face emotional.
00:26:49 Pat Bev's an emotional.
00:26:50 He's just having a catch.
00:26:51 I thought that was just like a cool moment that even after
00:26:54 they lost he was like, you know sharing a catch with one of
00:26:56 the fans one of the fans.
00:26:57 That's a fan for life now.
00:26:58 Yeah, they're like Pat Bev just giving him a souvenir for me
00:27:01 a chess pass.
00:27:02 Yeah, I did Hal Burton said the reporter asked like hey, I
00:27:04 saw you and Pat Bev exchange words at the end like anything
00:27:08 you want to share Albert just goes just came up to me said
00:27:11 good series some people go to ask so PFT has something he
00:27:14 wants to say the other thing I wanted to say earlier about
00:27:17 the Bucks is that some people could argue that the Bucks championship
00:27:21 was a fluke because it was off the bubble and all the teams
00:27:23 that had to play a long season deep into the next year got
00:27:26 bounced and the Nets got injured and beating Chris Paul isn't
00:27:29 that impressive some people would say I disagree with those
00:27:33 people.
00:27:33 Yeah, I disagree.
00:27:34 I was that was a that was a real championship, but they're
00:27:37 now the Bucks do have some questions because yeah, it felt
00:27:40 like after they won their first title is like oh, this is
00:27:42 going to be the Bucks on top of the East for a while now and
00:27:45 they've had again injuries this year were very very important
00:27:49 because anytime you lose Giannis and it was last year too
00:27:51 because Giannis got hurt in that but to back-to-back first
00:27:55 round exits for this Bucks team has a lot of people being
00:27:59 like what what's going on here is doc the answer.
00:28:01 I don't know.
00:28:02 See we that's another thing.
00:28:03 We don't know.
00:28:04 I probably not I'm going to say probably he's not the answer
00:28:06 with Giannis.
00:28:07 You always are going to be contending but you you went all
00:28:12 in with this Dame Lillard thing again.
00:28:14 The injuries of not diminished diminishing the injuries, but
00:28:17 if you're a Bucks fan, you're definitely they have some big
00:28:20 questions that are coming.
00:28:21 So that's what I was saying earlier.
00:28:22 If you're the Bucks GM, do you go based off the sample size
00:28:26 you had of Dame and Giannis playing together this year and
00:28:29 what that looked like and then use that to figure out what
00:28:32 you're going to do in the offseason the moves you have to
00:28:34 make well, I mean because like we didn't get to see them in
00:28:36 the playoffs together.
00:28:37 And so you don't know how they stack up against the best
00:28:40 teams when you guys are both competing your hardest, right?
00:28:43 So like it's a you kind of have to take a guess and they also
00:28:46 were they had a disappointing weird year and they still were
00:28:52 playing for the to seed in the last week of the season.
00:28:55 So it's like put into perspective.
00:28:56 They're still going to be okay with Giannis.
00:28:58 Yeah, because he's that fucking good early.
00:29:00 Who's back the week is Reggie Miller.
00:29:02 Yeah.
00:29:03 No credit to the Pacers by the way did that I think that's
00:29:05 our first series win in like 10 years.
00:29:08 I think that's I think that's Rick Carlisle's first win since
00:29:12 he won it all with the Mavs.
00:29:15 Wow, you sure I'll look that up.
00:29:18 Yeah, it's been it's been a minute.
00:29:19 Yeah, but yeah, there's going to be a lot of Reggie Miller
00:29:21 talk Hank's right?
00:29:22 Yeah Pacers Knicks Pacers Knicks.
00:29:24 You think Doug Gottlieb was ever like Reggie Miller needs
00:29:27 to fix a mechanical flaw in his shooting.
00:29:29 It's never going to be good.
00:29:30 I actually thought Doug Gottlieb got unfair hate for that.
00:29:35 Well, it's he's the easiest target.
00:29:36 I'm correct.
00:29:37 Yeah, but yeah, anyone else than Doug Gottlieb.
00:29:41 So if you missed it Doug Gottlieb basically was like Caitlin
00:29:44 Clark shot is bad mechanics.
00:29:46 Do you think they'll try to work on that?
00:29:49 Doug Gottlieb is going to get shit on no matter what every
00:29:53 single professional athlete works on their mechanics constantly
00:29:57 Tom Brady like constantly is working at what's working on
00:30:00 his mechanics Tiger Woods has changed his swing three times
00:30:03 ask that question isn't crazy.
00:30:05 There might be a better way a more efficient way to shoot
00:30:08 especially going right for Caitlin Clark.
00:30:11 That's it's not saying she's bad.
00:30:12 I think incredible.
00:30:13 I think the Tigers changing his swing is what fucked him up.
00:30:16 I think the implication was three times was that it was broken.
00:30:19 Yeah, it's not broken broken at all.
00:30:21 He should have phrased it better.
00:30:22 Yeah, there could maybe be a way for her to become even better
00:30:26 of a shooter.
00:30:26 Yeah, that would be a great way to but I like every every single
00:30:30 professional athlete works on stuff like that constantly.
00:30:33 So I don't know you're right about Rick Carla, by the way,
00:30:35 his first series win since then 2011 over the little bronze
00:30:39 first year.
00:30:40 Wow, he wait.
00:30:42 No, I'm seeing right now.
00:30:43 He won some playoff series in 2021.
00:30:46 Check that double check.
00:30:48 Oh, no, maybe not.
00:30:49 I see.
00:30:49 Oh, yeah win loss.
00:30:50 Yeah.
00:30:50 Yeah, you're right.
00:30:51 I see.
00:30:52 Yeah, six first round exit.
00:30:53 Well, I'm right.
00:30:54 Yeah, six missed playoffs.
00:30:56 Yeah, wow.
00:30:57 That's a long time for a really good coach.
00:30:59 So yeah credits to the Pacers.
00:31:01 They're fun.
00:31:01 They're young.
00:31:02 They're fun.
00:31:02 They run.
00:31:03 I love watching teams run.
00:31:04 You miss shots on them.
00:31:06 You're fucked.
00:31:08 Also Clippers Mavericks Luka incredible game Kyrie great game
00:31:14 incredible game.
00:31:15 I think we called those.
00:31:16 Yeah credit to us for saying that Kyrie Irving and Luka
00:31:20 Donchik.
00:31:20 We're going to play.
00:31:21 Well, we know ball.
00:31:22 We know we know ball and then the Clippers are stuck again.
00:31:26 Just being like we had the we had the opposite James Harden
00:31:30 that one.
00:31:31 We are I thought maybe the extra rest but no, no should have
00:31:34 known better is classic James classic James Harden.
00:31:37 I think Nick Wright had a stat that he has the most games in
00:31:40 playoff history with 10 shots and under 10 points and it's
00:31:44 like yeah, it's like 30 of them.
00:31:46 This is going to be a legacy game.
00:31:47 I'm calling it right now.
00:31:48 This is a James Harden legacy game.
00:31:50 And by that I mean, I hope he scores less than 10 points.
00:31:53 He's not he yeah, I think the I think the Mavs are going to
00:31:55 win this series.
00:31:56 I mean Luka is so good.
00:31:57 If James Harden goes out there and drops eight points that
00:32:00 cements him as the greatest playoff not care of all time.
00:32:04 Yeah that that one clip of Kyrie just like cruising through
00:32:09 everyone so easy like he it was so crazy to watch because Kyrie
00:32:14 such a good ball handler his body was somehow out of control,
00:32:18 but his ball handling stayed in control the whole time.
00:32:20 Yeah, he knows he knows exactly what he operates it like he
00:32:23 processes things at such a fast speed, right?
00:32:26 It's insane.
00:32:26 Like you can't even if you watch him operate in real time,
00:32:30 you have no idea how he gets the ball in the basket was so
00:32:32 chaotic and then yeah, and it was it still worked and yeah,
00:32:35 I love watching Luka.
00:32:36 I mean, he's he he does lead the league in bitching at everyone.
00:32:40 Yeah, but that's just part of his game.
00:32:42 I think he's one of those guys that needs to just yell at fans
00:32:44 yell at refs to get going.
00:32:46 Yeah, he'll yell at the ref after he makes a wide open three
00:32:48 pointer. He'll yell at anyone.
00:32:49 I try to figure out what he's screaming about.
00:32:51 I can't figure it out.
00:32:52 Yeah, but he just he likes to have it be him against the world.
00:32:54 Yeah, so that game six and also the Mavericks or sorry, the
00:33:00 Magic Cavaliers game six is Friday night.
00:33:03 So we'll see if we can finish those series.
00:33:06 It does kind of suck that we're getting to Kentucky Derby
00:33:08 Saturday.
00:33:09 We're only going to have one NBA game.
00:33:11 Yeah, that's tough prayers for us.
00:33:13 Yeah, we have the the nuggets in the in the Wolves playing hockey
00:33:18 game one.
00:33:19 Yeah, seven get hockey Hank.
00:33:21 Should we talk about it?
00:33:22 Yeah, have a conversation ruins.
00:33:24 So the Bruins were up 3-1 in the series, huh?
00:33:26 Mm-hmm.
00:33:27 Then Austin Matthews not playing.
00:33:30 What happened last year in the first round?
00:33:31 What were you guys up?
00:33:33 The Bruins are up 3-1.
00:33:35 I believe yeah fights tweeted out the stat that they're Owen
00:33:38 six in their last closeout six closeout games, but the Leafs
00:33:42 are two and nine in their last 11 game sevens in the road,
00:33:45 right?
00:33:45 But that means they've won twice.
00:33:47 Yeah, correct.
00:33:49 Oh and six.
00:33:50 Oh and six in two years is almost impossible.
00:33:52 That's pretty crazy hard.
00:33:54 That's really crazy shocking.
00:33:56 And with all I think I think the Bruins are going to win this
00:33:58 game.
00:33:59 Me too because I think are you mean the house?
00:34:01 I'll be the building.
00:34:02 Oh, wow.
00:34:03 So there you go.
00:34:04 That's all you need.
00:34:05 Hank.
00:34:06 Did you want the Bruins to win this game?
00:34:08 Good question.
00:34:09 Good question, Max.
00:34:10 Yes, I want to the Bruins because I heard a rumor.
00:34:12 I heard a rumor that before the game started Hank said no,
00:34:16 wait, no, wait, no.
00:34:18 Hey, I'm being a journalist.
00:34:19 You ain't no phone when the rabbit got the gun buddy.
00:34:21 Oh shit, but crap Max is up your ass.
00:34:25 Yeah, buddy pal got time.
00:34:26 All those teams are eliminated.
00:34:29 Six or I mean Phillies are best team in that major leagues
00:34:31 right now.
00:34:32 So that a fact there the rumor 21 and 11.
00:34:35 Hold on.
00:34:36 Hold on PFT.
00:34:37 I don't I just want to because this is this is Hank's dream
00:34:41 scenario.
00:34:41 He's got you know, it's getting down to Philly's Braves are
00:34:44 in first place.
00:34:44 Yeah, just so well, so we're clear what division of the head
00:34:47 but the different games also in the different games division.
00:34:50 Yeah, they're 20 and not we have more wins and more losses.
00:34:53 So it's different.
00:34:56 baseball so Hank there was a rumor that before this game
00:35:02 started started by Mac.
00:35:03 So it's like how wait, wait, wait, look, can I can I fish
00:35:06 before this game started Hank said would it be wrong if I
00:35:11 wanted the Bruins to lose this game so I could go to game
00:35:14 seven.
00:35:15 Fact or fiction that Hank can I can I defend you for a sec,
00:35:20 please?
00:35:21 Sounds like you just asking a question.
00:35:23 That's all I was doing.
00:35:24 Yeah, and he didn't say he was rude.
00:35:27 He said would it be wrong?
00:35:28 We were talking to a group of fans and there was I think
00:35:32 an intern I forget who was around and I was trying to test
00:35:35 like what his sports fandom was like, right?
00:35:38 It was kind of like a good test quiz like pop quiz.
00:35:41 There's an intern around.
00:35:42 So could you answer that question?
00:35:43 Of course, it's bad.
00:35:46 Yeah, it's horrible.
00:35:47 You would never do right now.
00:35:48 You're upset that you're going to go to game 7 on Saturday.
00:35:53 Yeah, I was I was ready for the Bruins to win that game.
00:35:55 I was upset when they lost.
00:35:56 I was upset when the Leafs scored.
00:35:58 I would I I wish we were live for when the Leafs scored
00:36:02 that second goal.
00:36:03 He was like, oh, no.
00:36:05 It was like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
00:36:11 no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
00:36:13 no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
00:36:18 I was the only one watching the game.
00:36:20 Shut up Max.
00:36:21 You're watching like everyone else is focused on the the next
00:36:23 six.
00:36:24 I was actually watching the Bruins locked in.
00:36:26 Yeah, you were locked in to see if you go to game 7.
00:36:28 That has nothing to do with that.
00:36:30 It's a coincidence.
00:36:31 It's a coincidence, Max.
00:36:33 Like I will be in Boston.
00:36:35 It is a Saturday night.
00:36:35 We do have a great partner at game time that will be helping
00:36:38 me get in the game.
00:36:39 I'm going to promote the company.
00:36:41 Hank, it's your company man.
00:36:43 This is a work trip.
00:36:44 Many times work trip.
00:36:45 Hank always does the company first.
00:36:47 When did you when did you first inquire about getting tickets
00:36:49 to games after the game?
00:36:51 Really confirmed.
00:36:53 I'll show you the text after the point one second that was
00:36:55 put back on the clock after well after okay.
00:36:58 Interesting.
00:37:00 Okay.
00:37:01 Only I had one other thing go look up your tax 944 p.m.
00:37:06 Okay, the game ended at 947 p.m.
00:37:09 I'm looking at it right now where let me see your computer
00:37:15 computer froze.
00:37:16 Hold on.
00:37:16 I can find it.
00:37:17 Okay, Max.
00:37:19 Can you look it up?
00:37:20 Yeah, let me pull this up real quick.
00:37:21 Okay, not 947 p.m.
00:37:26 Yeah, 947.
00:37:27 So you might have inquired a little early there.
00:37:31 Nope there.
00:37:32 Joseph wool was awesome.
00:37:34 Their goalie was so good.
00:37:37 Yeah, we took him like a period to even get a shot on goal,
00:37:40 but he played well.
00:37:41 Let's see.
00:37:43 Let's see.
00:37:45 Let's see Hank game 7.
00:37:49 Final the least posted a final at 945.
00:37:54 So you might be right.
00:37:56 Of course.
00:37:56 I'm right.
00:37:57 Wow Hank.
00:37:58 He's I think he's I think he's not guilty.
00:38:02 Thank you.
00:38:03 Yeah.
00:38:03 So that was the first thing on his mind.
00:38:06 Yes, that's true.
00:38:07 Good point.
00:38:08 Good point.
00:38:08 He couldn't have done it faster.
00:38:09 But wait, Hank.
00:38:10 What time did you say Hank?
00:38:12 You're absolutely right.
00:38:13 Max.
00:38:13 You could have done it fast.
00:38:14 I think Hank said 944.
00:38:16 He said nine.
00:38:16 Oh you I thought you said 947.
00:38:18 What time?
00:38:19 I said 947 Hank said no 44.
00:38:21 What time to send the text 944 and that oh, so the I know
00:38:25 you're all guilty.
00:38:26 I don't like guilty.
00:38:27 Guilty guilty.
00:38:28 The game was over.
00:38:28 Don't make a fucking whole ass graphic and don't eat it.
00:38:31 You scored a goal.
00:38:32 That's what the Bruins were all 945.
00:38:35 No, they scored.
00:38:36 Yeah, they scored a goal at 945.
00:38:38 You're gonna make me do my work.
00:38:40 No, I'm on it right now.
00:38:41 Boston Bruins 944.
00:38:43 No, that's your PFT is not.
00:38:45 I swear to God.
00:38:46 Look at big.
00:38:46 Well, there was point one seconds left.
00:38:48 Yeah.
00:38:48 Yeah, it wasn't over and go the game wasn't over.
00:38:51 Big cat right there.
00:38:51 All right.
00:38:52 Yep.
00:38:52 944 944 Bruins tweeted out.
00:38:56 Hey now that liar that knows liar.
00:38:58 I asked you specifically about the point one second and you
00:39:01 lied.
00:39:02 I waited till whatever.
00:39:03 Okay, so Hank's very excited that the Bruins are going to
00:39:07 game 7.
00:39:07 I'm excited to have a chance.
00:39:10 I'm excited to have it have a chance to advance Bruins got
00:39:13 to play.
00:39:14 Well, reverse the curse.
00:39:16 Oh Max.
00:39:17 I have one last thing.
00:39:17 Do you have anything to say to Jerry O'Connell?
00:39:19 He's all up your ass.
00:39:20 Yeah.
00:39:20 No, he did.
00:39:21 It was a master class that he put on me tonight and I I don't
00:39:24 I didn't really know how to respond to it.
00:39:26 I didn't know he was a Knicks fan number one, but he's been
00:39:31 on my ass and congrats to him.
00:39:34 Here's what I was gonna say.
00:39:35 I was gonna.
00:39:43 Friction boy friction boy.
00:39:45 Wait, we got this one was my favorite.
00:39:47 He also he also Jerry is so committed to this show.
00:40:00 He even used Max's Little League pronunciation of his name
00:40:04 in this one.
00:40:13 Little you small using as one word is also just taking the
00:40:17 game to a new level.
00:40:18 People are also tweeting it tweeting at me that on his talk
00:40:22 show today that he was talking shit on good.
00:40:24 That's why I never saw the clip of it.
00:40:26 I'm imagining his fans that go to see Jerry O'Connell's talk
00:40:30 show and he's taking like 30 seconds to just rub one in Max
00:40:33 Delente's face and they're just so confused but Jerry's loving
00:40:37 every second.
00:40:38 Yeah, if someone could find that clip send it small.
00:40:42 Hank, that's that's what you have to look forward to you
00:40:44 versus Jerry.
00:40:45 Oh my God.
00:40:46 Yeah, Jerry be all up your ass.
00:40:48 They got to get past the Pacers.
00:40:49 We might have to get him out here.
00:40:50 Yeah, you got to get past to every airplane the Kajik.
00:40:54 I think if you combine the teams you probably win.
00:40:57 Yeah, this cocky Hank.
00:41:00 I'm just building them up build them up build them up.
00:41:03 All right.
00:41:03 He's not picking up.
00:41:04 He's probably just he's probably running around the streets.
00:41:07 All right, we'll have him on though.
00:41:10 If you play the Celtics play Knicks last thing I had.
00:41:13 Deion Sanders should probably stay off Twitter.
00:41:17 Yeah, the thing about Deion is when when Colorado is winning
00:41:22 and everything's working.
00:41:24 He's super entertaining.
00:41:26 He gets people talking about college football.
00:41:28 Yeah, which is good.
00:41:29 Yeah new rivalries forming.
00:41:30 That's good.
00:41:31 He also has been going after former players on Twitter.
00:41:36 Not great, which is not a good look for a coach.
00:41:38 And then what I what I didn't like is he's now like he'll
00:41:42 backtrack his way into like using a quote from the Bible
00:41:46 that then also justifies why he's hating on this like 19
00:41:51 year old kid.
00:41:51 Right and we want he wants to be treated like a player
00:41:55 sometimes right like the man player mentality.
00:41:57 Yeah, he's got the player mentality, but you also have
00:42:00 to be a good person to the players that you come across
00:42:03 that you might not even like he inherited that guy as yeah
00:42:06 guys that's on the team.
00:42:08 And then to be like cyber bullying him over his stats and
00:42:11 stuff like that.
00:42:12 Yeah, Deion should probably stop doing the yeah.
00:42:15 I mean we are Deion fans people know that we're biased
00:42:18 in that respect.
00:42:19 So when we say that he's going too far and should stay off
00:42:22 Twitter, you know that he's gone probably well too far way
00:42:26 to stay off Twitter way too far just one of those things
00:42:29 like what what are you winning right here Deion?
00:42:31 You're not there's nothing to gain from doing that.
00:42:35 I understand defending your son.
00:42:36 Yeah, but other than that let your sons do it like like
00:42:41 I think Shadour Sanders like he well actually know that
00:42:43 was a little weird too because it was he was talking because
00:42:46 he's the coaches son.
00:42:47 He's talking shit to a former player.
00:42:49 Yeah, I'm like, I don't you must have been mid because
00:42:51 we didn't even I don't remember you and like me that seems
00:42:53 like it's stupid to making it clear that the two of them
00:42:56 had talked about this right?
00:42:58 Right.
00:42:58 Yeah.
00:42:58 Yeah.
00:42:59 So yeah, and that kid was he was one of the guys that
00:43:01 tried to stick around.
00:43:02 Yeah, and try to like adapt to Deion system the new regime
00:43:06 and he tried to make it work and apparently Deion just
00:43:08 won't give him the time of day which that's also reality
00:43:11 in college football.
00:43:11 Correct.
00:43:12 If the coach doesn't think that you're good enough to play
00:43:14 you're going to be treated like less than nothing.
00:43:16 I might as well be invisible but then to have that same
00:43:19 coach dunk on you online later that seems like it should
00:43:23 be beneath any college coach.
00:43:24 Yeah, he should stay off Twitter and maybe learn the lesson
00:43:30 that it's not nothing you don't win on this you lose he
00:43:34 lost he lost in that exchange.
00:43:36 All right, anything else Oh Justin Fields might return kicks.
00:43:39 Yeah, Bill Pullian somewhere is just smile.
00:43:42 I told you I hope he does more.
00:43:45 He would be electric, but I hope he doesn't because why
00:43:48 would he ever do that?
00:43:49 I think I don't know.
00:43:50 He's not just get the ball in his hands.
00:43:52 There's just I like watching him run.
00:43:53 He's not I still think he's going to play at some point
00:43:57 this season for the Steelers, but even if he doesn't play
00:44:01 being a backup and being like I'm not returning kicks
00:44:04 because what will happen is Justin Fields will return a
00:44:07 touchdown and then he will be box into returning kicks.
00:44:10 He quarter L Patterson.
00:44:11 Yeah.
00:44:11 So the one thing I'm looking forward to a lot about this.
00:44:14 Actually, there's a lot of things I'm looking forward
00:44:16 to about this NFL season.
00:44:17 I wish it started tomorrow.
00:44:18 I can't I'm starting to get the itch.
00:44:20 I can't wait for it.
00:44:21 I haven't done this exciting in years for the NFL season.
00:44:24 I'm starting to get really close to sending out my first
00:44:27 I can't wait for college football tweet.
00:44:28 Yeah, it has to come organic.
00:44:30 It has to be what I'm just daydreaming and just thinking
00:44:32 like damn I can't wait for this.
00:44:33 So one thing I'm really excited about though is with the
00:44:36 new kickoff rules watching teams absolutely screw it up.
00:44:41 Oh, yeah, and like everyone's going to think that they've
00:44:43 got a new system a new way that they can take advantage
00:44:45 of the new kickoff and half of them are going to feel
00:44:48 hilariously.
00:44:49 Yes, and that's what I'm looking forward to watch.
00:44:50 Yes, it's going to be great some coach thinking that is
00:44:53 cooking.
00:44:53 It's going to be great.
00:44:54 Yeah.
00:44:54 Okay happy.
00:44:56 We got cocky Hank back happy Max is dealing with this somewhat
00:45:02 well, I'm happy Max isn't sad.
00:45:04 Are you sad?
00:45:06 I mean, I'm definitely I'm definitely sad, but we've seen
00:45:09 sad Max before and this is this pales in comparison.
00:45:11 It's different.
00:45:11 It's different.
00:45:12 Yeah, it's different and I'm happy.
00:45:14 Max earlier was like would it be bad if I wanted the Sixers
00:45:17 to lose this so this would be over.
00:45:18 Did you say is that true?
00:45:20 That is not true.
00:45:21 What time did you say that?
00:45:22 I think you did say at one point.
00:45:23 I just want to get it.
00:45:25 I just want to be out of here.
00:45:26 I was talking about your like the physical space.
00:45:29 Oh occupying.
00:45:31 Yeah, he was probably I hate that.
00:45:32 I can't believe I will never have a win in that in that
00:45:35 don't even want to be here anymore.
00:45:37 You have had wins there name one.
00:45:39 That's a good question.
00:45:41 I don't know over to Paul.
00:45:43 That was the worst.
00:45:44 That was the worst way to win.
00:45:46 That was seven point favor.
00:45:48 Was that not a win?
00:45:49 That was the worst win in the history of wins.
00:45:51 Oh, you beat the Cowboys in there when dad that that's the
00:45:53 only game I had one game in my mind.
00:45:55 That's the only one what about when you guys took a lead
00:45:59 in the NLCS?
00:46:01 Lost you but you had wins not in that room to get there not
00:46:07 in that room.
00:46:07 Yeah, actually that room has been really bad because I was
00:46:09 even thinking like the series against the Cowboys games.
00:46:13 You only want to be done.
00:46:14 It's the Braves was the old office.
00:46:16 Yes, big Dom game.
00:46:17 They lost that game by a lot.
00:46:19 Oh, I forgot what a lot.
00:46:21 All right, let's not play that.
00:46:22 Remember that was the Niners.
00:46:24 Ebo would just run.
00:46:25 He just gave me Debo and just like, all right, let's not
00:46:27 play this game.
00:46:27 I thought they won the big Dom game.
00:46:29 Yeah, really good interviews coming up.
00:46:30 Yeah, we have so Randy Moss talking Kentucky Derby Keith

00:49:00 I mean we say this every year Randy Moss, but the I think
00:49:05 you were probably the first three months apart in my take
00:49:09 history you had you had no obligation to give two idiots
00:49:14 a shot and hop on this podcast as it was kind of a bit at
00:49:17 first then we became friends, but I can't tell you every
00:49:20 single time we get to Kentucky Derby week the amount of people
00:49:24 who tweet me being like Randy Moss right Randy Moss Randy
00:49:26 Moss.
00:49:27 So it's great to see you.
00:49:29 It is Kentucky Derby week.
00:49:30 I have a question.
00:49:33 That's not horse related first Super Bowl week.
00:49:36 Did Boomer and Geo try to steal our bit today steal our bit
00:49:40 Boomer and Geo had no damn idea who they were getting right
00:49:47 that I was there to help, you know promote horse racing.
00:49:50 They asked me to comment all that, you know, they thought
00:49:53 they were getting Randy Moss the football player and who
00:49:55 wouldn't want Randy Moss the football player on Super Bowl
00:49:57 week as opposed to you know, the og white bald Randy Moss.
00:50:01 Yep.
00:50:01 But yeah, it was it would went viral.
00:50:04 It went viral that week when they realized at the last minute
00:50:09 who they were going to be getting so that was pretty pretty
00:50:12 funny that wasn't a bit then I wasn't sure I wasn't sure if
00:50:15 they were just going to do the yeah because I think the first
00:50:18 time we had you on we might have asked you only like Minnesota
00:50:20 Vikings and New England Patriots related questions.
00:50:23 But yeah, it's good to have you back on the very first time
00:50:27 I was on we played racehorse or porn star.
00:50:30 Yeah.
00:50:30 Yeah, you're really good at that game.
00:50:32 You're really good.
00:50:33 Yeah, you know, you knew your porn stars.
00:50:35 Yeah, you're a porn guy.
00:50:35 And after that my wife told me you will never go on part of
00:50:40 my day again.
00:50:41 And now she's a big fan.
00:50:45 Oh, you want her over.
00:50:46 It's a beautiful story.
00:50:47 It's a beautiful story.
00:50:48 All right, so it is Kentucky Derby week.
00:50:50 Let's start with the guy that looms over everything every
00:50:54 single Kentucky Derby week.
00:50:56 It is Bob Baffert who will not be involved his horse moot who
00:51:01 probably would be you could tell me would be very much in the
00:51:04 running to win.
00:51:05 This race will not be there.
00:51:07 What's the late?
00:51:08 I read a story last night that essentially was like Bob
00:51:11 Baffert just isn't sorry enough.
00:51:13 And so you tell us from your angle what's happening and
00:51:18 what will happen going forward?
00:51:20 And is there that feeling that not an asterisk but there's
00:51:24 a horse out there a three-year-old that could compete in this
00:51:27 race that won't be in this race.
00:51:29 So Bob Baffert had a couple of horses that would have been
00:51:32 in this year's Kentucky Derby in a normal year booth won the
00:51:36 Arkansas Derby.
00:51:37 He probably would be the third betting choice the third favorite
00:51:40 if he were here and he also had another horse who had finished
00:51:44 second imagination in the Santa Anita Derby.
00:51:47 So you would have two horses kind of kind of front and center.
00:51:50 I mean, we know we all know that because of the Medina Spirit
00:51:54 disqualification in 2021 Churchill down rule them off for two
00:51:58 years, right?
00:52:00 That was the deal two years.
00:52:01 If he had no more medication violations after two years, then
00:52:06 he'd be welcome back at your to lounge and in last July suddenly
00:52:10 kind of out of the blue Churchill down said that they were
00:52:13 extending the band from two years to three years as a justification.
00:52:18 They cited a comment that Baffert made on Fox in an interview
00:52:22 saying that they had to do anything over again.
00:52:25 He would do everything exactly the same and that apparently
00:52:29 angered Churchill downs in my opinion.
00:52:31 The reason why Churchill downs extended the band.
00:52:35 They didn't tell me this.
00:52:36 I'm reading the tea leaves here.
00:52:38 This is the 150th anniversary of the Kentucky Derby.
00:52:42 It means a lot to Churchill down this 150 anniversary.
00:52:46 I think they realized that if Baffert had come back to the
00:52:51 Kentucky Derby this year, he would be one of the main stories
00:52:56 right Bob Baffert being back with almost overshadow the storyline
00:53:01 of the 150th Kentucky Derby and I didn't think that after all
00:53:06 was said and done they wanted that to happen and I don't think
00:53:10 they wanted the possibility of Bill Carstensian the head of
00:53:14 Churchill down presenting the trophy for the 150th Derby to
00:53:18 Bob Baffert in the winner circle.
00:53:21 Okay, that makes sense in theory, but if you're looking at it
00:53:25 from a perspective of what's going to get the most buzz going
00:53:28 what's going to get the most people to tune in what's going
00:53:30 to be the biggest story you could argue that Bob Baffert coming
00:53:33 back the bad boy returns.
00:53:34 It's like a wrestling storyline bad boy return right hundred
00:53:38 fiftieth anniversary if he does happen to win that feels like
00:53:41 that is a win for horse racing overall if that happens, I think
00:53:45 you're absolutely right and what wins for horse racing in my
00:53:48 opinion is the best horses being in the Kentucky Derby and this
00:53:51 year all the best three-year-olds are not in the Kentucky Derby.
00:53:53 So that's where I come down on it.
00:53:55 Also.
00:53:56 I also love the idea that this dynamic between Bob Baffert
00:53:59 and Churchill downs is just exactly that that detention scene
00:54:02 in Breakfast Club.
00:54:03 Yeah, where he just says one thing like another detention.
00:54:06 Yeah, I'll just say sorry and really mean it and he'd be back.
00:54:10 Yeah, and now that this thing was in court up until like a week
00:54:15 ago because the owner of move challenge the extra year suspension
00:54:20 not Baffert.
00:54:21 It was Amber Zidane who owned Medina Spirit and he also owned
00:54:25 move Amber Zidane pointed out that we played he took Churchill
00:54:31 downs at their word that if Baffert had no more medication
00:54:35 violations that they would be they would welcome me back after
00:54:38 two years and he said I went out bought 10 million dollars worth
00:54:41 of horses on the assumption that Baffert would get to train my
00:54:45 horses if they made it to the Kentucky Derby and then I got the
00:54:47 rug pulled out from underneath me.
00:54:49 Yeah, but he filed that lawsuit very very late in the game just
00:54:54 four weeks before the Derby right after the horse won the Arkansas
00:54:57 Derby.
00:54:58 So yeah, I think the timing is what did it man more than anything.
00:55:01 Yeah, so it does lead us to an interesting Kentucky Derby.
00:55:05 Like you said not all the best three-year-olds are in this race
00:55:08 and I was looking at it last night fierceness who is going to be
00:55:12 the favorite on Kentucky's favorite right now micropoly shout out
00:55:16 micropoly our guy who helped us get Rick Pitino on the podcast
00:55:20 but fierceness looks like he's a class above everyone else in
00:55:25 terms of speed like the the speed ratings for a lot of these
00:55:27 horses are just not what it doesn't look like what a Kentucky
00:55:31 Derby should normally look like is this a situation where fierceness
00:55:36 like you have to include them in your bets and this horse is just
00:55:39 better than everyone else.
00:55:40 I thought if all the horses run their best races pierce wins the
00:55:47 race hands down.
00:55:47 Yeah, talent wise fierceness is probably three or four links better
00:55:52 than any other horse in the field.
00:55:53 But right now you mentioned that pierce is the favorite.
00:55:57 I hope this music not too loud behind me.
00:55:59 I'm in the new paddock by the way.
00:56:00 No, you're good.
00:56:01 It looks good.
00:56:02 I always want to give you guys up close and personal.
00:56:06 I remember when I got under the saw webbing at the briefness and
00:56:09 yes, he made.
00:56:10 Yes.
00:56:10 So that's why I'm in the paddock.
00:56:13 Anyway, back to back to pierce.
00:56:15 The only the drawback about pierce who is right now and eight to
00:56:21 five favorite is that he's had a couple of races on his form where
00:56:26 he was terrible.
00:56:27 The Holy Bowl the race before the Florida Derby.
00:56:30 He had a little bit of an excuse, but he still underperformed and
00:56:35 there's that inconsistency in his form.
00:56:38 That is making a lot of people look elsewhere, especially at the
00:56:44 eight to five price and he's running 17th in the 17th position,
00:56:48 right?
00:56:48 Yeah, but that's good.
00:56:50 Okay, he's a speed horse and he doesn't want to be down inside where
00:56:55 his hand is forced.
00:56:56 So if they could have picked their post position, they would have
00:57:00 picked, you know, 16 17 18 somewhere out there.
00:57:04 So that worked perfectly for them.
00:57:06 He's had a scratch.
00:57:07 You want 17 now at 16.
00:57:08 There may even be more another scratchy to who knows, but they
00:57:13 wanted to be outside.
00:57:14 So that's a good thing.
00:57:14 But if you did on paper and I know, you know, the Kentucky Derby,
00:57:19 you don't often get to say this on paper.
00:57:21 It looks essentially like a two-horse race between fierceness and
00:57:25 overscopes Sierra Leone and right now Sierra Leone is six to one.
00:57:30 Right.
00:57:31 So I think fierceness is the most likely winner, but the discrepancy
00:57:36 of eight to five and six to one is very, very tempting given fierceness
00:57:42 is inconsistency from the past.
00:57:44 All right.
00:57:44 So you mentioned so he's going to be running on 16, but he will be
00:57:48 wearing the 17 silks, right?
00:57:50 Correct.
00:57:51 17 Saddletail number.
00:57:53 Well, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
00:57:54 Yes.
00:57:55 17 Saddletail number.
00:57:57 Correct.
00:57:57 Okay.
00:57:57 So we are superstitious guys and you probably know this as well.
00:58:00 17.
00:58:01 The number 17 is never won the Kentucky Derby 44 years.
00:58:05 Never won the Kentucky Derby.
00:58:06 How does that not play into this?
00:58:08 Randy?
00:58:08 It's nothing whatsoever to do with it.
00:58:11 Come on.
00:58:11 It has to be something.
00:58:13 It has to be something.
00:58:14 It's just coincidence.
00:58:17 18 is one.
00:58:18 Yeah, right.
00:58:19 18 would be worse than 17.
00:58:20 Right.
00:58:21 19 is 120 is one.
00:58:23 Exactly.
00:58:24 Rich strike for what?
00:58:25 21 or 22.
00:58:26 I think you were 21.
00:58:27 You're proving why 17 is unlucky.
00:58:29 Yeah, you're making our point for us.
00:58:31 44 years is not a coincidence.
00:58:34 You guys are going to get me on jinxes.
00:58:37 Yes.
00:58:37 Although the fact that he's wearing 17, but he's racing out of
00:58:43 the 16th position.
00:58:44 That's not going to be a win for 17, though, even if he does win,
00:58:47 right?
00:58:47 Officially in the record books, we're still going to say the 17th
00:58:51 position has not won.
00:58:52 Okay, well, how about looking at it this way?
00:58:54 All right, 15 is 116 is 118 1920 17 is badly overdue.
00:59:00 Oh, I don't know about that.
00:59:03 I'm the market.
00:59:04 Yeah, I don't know about visors say not to do that.
00:59:06 I think that's a bad idea.
00:59:07 I think it's a bad idea.
00:59:08 So Sierra Leone, the second favorite, talk to me about this horse
00:59:15 because this horse, I watched a couple races that this horse is
00:59:19 run and the mo for this horse is going to slow start finish strong,
00:59:25 which you don't isn't always easy when it comes to Kentucky Derby
00:59:29 with the amount of horses in the field and the traffic that could
00:59:32 be there.
00:59:32 So are you concerned at all about the fact that traffic is going
00:59:36 to be a problem?
00:59:36 I think it might be a little muddy.
00:59:37 You never want the mud in your eyes.
00:59:39 Are you worried at all about Sierra Leone coming from the back
00:59:43 in a huge, huge field?
00:59:45 No.
00:59:46 Okay.
00:59:47 No, I'm not worried at all.
00:59:48 And here's why the first of all, if you go back historically and
00:59:54 you look at the Kentucky Derby, so I go back and look at the last
00:59:56 30 years.
00:59:57 If you have access to the charts and things like that, and this
01:00:00 whole mantra that has developed over the years of the 20 horse
01:00:04 field in the Kentucky Derby, making it a rough race, making it
01:00:08 a crap shoot.
01:00:09 The best horse doesn't win.
01:00:11 They get stopped in traffic.
01:00:13 It's all BS probably 70 to 80% of the horses that win the Kentucky
01:00:18 Derby. If you go back and look at the charts and you ask yourself
01:00:21 in hindsight, was this horse the best horse in the race?
01:00:25 Right?
01:00:26 Looking back in hindsight, it's usually yes, but despite the
01:00:31 traffic, despite the running style, part two to that, there should
01:00:36 be a fairly contentious early pace.
01:00:38 It almost always is in the Kentucky Derby.
01:00:40 And when that happens, it spreads out the horses, right?
01:00:45 They're going kind of fast early.
01:00:46 So it creates more gaps all the way back to the last place horse.
01:00:50 There's more of a gap between first and last when the pace is
01:00:54 kind of fast.
01:00:54 And that means a little less traffic for the come from behind
01:00:58 her back there to have to navigate through to get to the front.
01:01:01 And you've also got, you know, 20 of the best jockeys in the
01:01:05 United States and some of the best jockeys in the world.
01:01:08 So typically they can find a way to do it.
01:01:12 The cream usually rises to the top.
01:01:14 So in terms of the jockeys, what's one jockey that you're looking
01:01:18 at this week that will get the most out of their horse and provide
01:01:21 good value, maybe on whatever the betting line closes at.
01:01:24 There might be a long shot, but they've got a great jockey that
01:01:27 might work their way into the top three.
01:01:28 Never ever, ever handicap the jockeys in the Kentucky Derby because
01:01:34 they're all good.
01:01:35 They're all good.
01:01:36 The difference between Joel Rosario and I read Ortiz and Tyler
01:01:42 Gaff Leon and Jose Ortiz and Flavian Pratt is so minute, right?
01:01:48 There may be a very slight difference in between one and the other
01:01:53 if they get into a particular situation in the race, but you never
01:01:57 can predict that that situation is going to transpire or not.
01:01:59 They're so evenly matched that you just have to go into it with
01:02:04 the assumption that you're going to get a good ride.
01:02:06 No, which is going to run up to its potential and just focus on
01:02:09 the horse and not the rider.
01:02:10 Okay, now I think we do this every single year.
01:02:14 Randy, we try to talk ourselves into a Japanese horse who won in
01:02:19 the UAE or the Saudi Arabia Derby.
01:02:22 Like we do this every single year.
01:02:24 So this year, Forever Young, what are we telling ourselves?
01:02:29 I'm sick of basically being sold on these Japanese horses flying
01:02:34 all the way around the world and then coming here and I'm like,
01:02:36 watch out for them.
01:02:37 It never works out.
01:02:38 But tell me how this is going to be different this year.
01:02:41 Well, there's really only been one of them that had a legitimate
01:02:47 chance and that was last year at the Verma Soda God Game.
01:02:49 And, you know, he ran sixth.
01:02:53 He ran okay.
01:02:54 He put himself in good position at the top of the stretch.
01:02:57 I thought he was going to be good enough to win and he wasn't.
01:03:01 So, you know, the sample size is not all that big.
01:03:05 This year, Forever Young is the most accomplished of any Japanese
01:03:09 horse that's ever come over here.
01:03:10 He's a perfect 5 for 5 lifetime.
01:03:13 But I've got two concerns about Forever Young that would keep me
01:03:17 from being super confident in. Talent-wise, he's as good as any of
01:03:21 them except Pearson.
01:03:22 But he traveled 5,000 miles to get from Japan to Saudi Arabia.
01:03:28 He won the Saudi Derby.
01:03:30 Then he hopped over to Dubai, not very far.
01:03:32 He won the UAE Derby.
01:03:34 Then he travels 7,000 miles to get here.
01:03:37 After he won the UAE Derby, his Japanese trainer, Drew Translator,
01:03:42 was quoted as saying that when he made the trip from Tokyo to Saudi
01:03:47 Arabia, he did not travel well.
01:03:50 The travel bothered him and it took him a while to get back into his
01:03:56 rhythm. With this horse, the travel over was delayed by a week because
01:04:02 of logistical problems from Dubai to the United States.
01:04:05 He had to fly from Dubai to Frankfurt, from Frankfurt to Chicago,
01:04:09 Chicago, a 42-hour quarantine, into a van, six hours, the Dirt to Lounge.
01:04:14 If he didn't travel well from Japan to Saudi, it concerns me that
01:04:22 he's going to be a little bit less than 100% because of the travel
01:04:25 all the way into here.
01:04:26 The other thing, the trainer seems to be borderline obsessive about
01:04:34 keeping this horse out of this kickback spray in his face.
01:04:39 And if he tries to do that in the Kentucky Derby with 20 horses, the
01:04:45 only way to do it would be to take him to the far outside.
01:04:47 And in that case, he would have an impossibly wide trip and he'd be
01:04:51 completely screwed.
01:04:52 So because of those two factors, I'm not as confident about Forever
01:04:58 Young running well as I was last year when Dermot Slaughter got there.
01:05:02 But he is a very, very talented, very, very determined and accomplished
01:05:06 racehorse. Another crazy story is that Jason Wirth actually owns one
01:05:10 of these racehorses. Or he owns at least like 10% of one of the horses, right?
01:05:13 Is it Dornach or Dornach?
01:05:15 Yes, Dornach. Dornach breaks from post-position number one.
01:05:18 He'll probably set the early pace.
01:05:20 Yeah, Jason is just now sort of getting started in the horse business,
01:05:25 just dabbling in it.
01:05:26 And you know, it's such a long shot for someone to just buy a few
01:05:30 horses and not spend an astronomical amount of money and yet have a
01:05:34 horse in the Kentucky Derby.
01:05:35 Yeah, he's over.
01:05:36 I talked to him yesterday back there in the Barn area.
01:05:39 He's over the moon about it.
01:05:40 Really good guy.
01:05:41 He realizes how lucky he's gotten right off the bat.
01:05:45 Yeah, that's crazy to just get started.
01:05:47 I think he's been doing this for like three years and he has a horse
01:05:49 in the Derby in the third year.
01:05:50 It's insane.
01:05:51 Now, is the horse, is it a filly?
01:05:53 No, it's a horse who actually happens to be a full brother, meaning
01:06:00 the same sire and the same dam as Mage, last year's Kentucky Derby
01:06:06 winner. It's never happened that two horses out of the same sire and
01:06:11 mare both won the Kentucky Derby.
01:06:13 So this would make history if Dornach could manage to go wire to wire
01:06:16 from the inside.
01:06:17 The odds are against it.
01:06:19 Is there any nepotism concerns?
01:06:22 Like, do you think that Mage maybe told him like, "Hey, this is how
01:06:26 you want to run the race"?
01:06:28 Are we worried about that?
01:06:29 The nepotism with Seattle Slough throughout the years has been ridiculous.
01:06:32 Maybe they hooked up a little FaceTime with Mage and Dornach here in
01:06:37 the week before the Kentucky Derby, right?
01:06:39 Alright, dumb question.
01:06:40 Do they know their brothers?
01:06:41 No.
01:06:43 Like, if they see each other, are they like, "Yo, you look like me"?
01:06:46 Well, who knows, right?
01:06:49 No one has any idea if horses would actually recognize that.
01:06:55 There are some people who believe, and I can't argue with them
01:06:59 necessarily. I mean, you can't factor this into your head, but there's
01:07:03 some people who believe that horses can be in the paddock, right?
01:07:06 Before they even get to the racetrack, and you can have eight or ten
01:07:09 horses together in the paddock, and they're getting ready to, which is
01:07:12 where I am, obviously, right here, by the way, and they're getting
01:07:15 ready to go out and run in a race.
01:07:16 And some people believe that one horse can look at another horse and
01:07:20 say, "Oh, shit, I can't beat that horse."
01:07:22 Mentally weak.
01:07:25 I love it.
01:07:26 Yeah.
01:07:27 I know.
01:07:28 Who knows?
01:07:29 I believe that now.
01:07:31 I absolutely believe that.
01:07:32 Horses can have friends.
01:07:34 I know that.
01:07:35 Can they have enemies, like rivals?
01:07:36 Are there horses that look at another specific horse and be like, "I
01:07:40 fucking hate that horse.
01:07:41 I'm going to run faster."
01:07:42 You know, it's funny that you would say that.
01:07:45 When I first started coming to Kentucky, I took a trip to some
01:07:51 farms in Lexington, and I went to Spin Thrift Farm, which is a big
01:07:54 farm, and they had a firm, the Triple Crown winner there, who was a
01:08:00 very entertaining horse.
01:08:01 He was said to be one of the most intelligent horses, good horses,
01:08:05 that ever lived, right?
01:08:07 A very, very smart horse.
01:08:08 He actually used to play a game where the tour people would be up,
01:08:12 including me, would be up at the fence watching him in the back of
01:08:15 the grassy paddock, and then he would come charging full speed right
01:08:19 at the people.
01:08:20 And it looked like he was going to just run right into the fence, and
01:08:23 he would wait till they scattered and ran away, and then he would
01:08:26 come to a screeching stop.
01:08:27 It really entertained him to be able to scatter the people like that.
01:08:31 Well, his sire was in the paddock next door, exclusive native.
01:08:36 And the guy that took care of him told me that they hated each other.
01:08:41 And they would try to fight over the fence, and they would sometimes
01:08:48 race each other up and down the fence line, but they did not like each
01:08:52 other at all.
01:08:52 So it was like a little, what do you call that, Oedipus?
01:08:55 Oedipus complex.
01:08:56 Yeah, I like that.
01:08:58 No love lost between the two.
01:09:00 All right.
01:09:00 So talking about the whole field, give us some long shots that you are
01:09:06 looking at maybe including in your exotics.
01:09:09 I'll throw one out there that maybe you could tell me is stupid, but
01:09:12 the horse Mystic Dan, just looking at the speed figures, is probably
01:09:16 the second fastest horse if they all ran their top speed that they've
01:09:20 run in the past.
01:09:20 Is that stupid to include him in anything?
01:09:23 Wait until you see the racetrack condition on Saturday.
01:09:29 The speed figure you're talking about was in Arkansas, in Oaklawn
01:09:35 Park, at a race called the Southwest Stakes, where it was a muddy
01:09:38 racetrack.
01:09:39 And he absolutely ran a freakishly good race coming down the stretch.
01:09:44 He came back next start on a fast racetrack in the Arkansas Derby and
01:09:48 wasn't nearly as effective.
01:09:50 Now, that's not a lot of evidence, just two races to say that man, this
01:09:55 horse loves a muddy racetrack.
01:09:56 But it's supposed to rain.
01:09:58 Friday, it's supposed to rain, maybe Saturday morning.
01:10:01 If the track is muddy, as it is for the Kentucky Derby, and Mystic Dan
01:10:06 is sitting on the board at 35 to 1, you could do a whole lot worse than
01:10:10 to make that assumption.
01:10:12 Okay, and then what else?
01:10:13 What other horses should we have our eyes on where you're like, "Okay,
01:10:16 this horse is something you want to include"?
01:10:19 Two of the mid-price long shots that I like. 16 to 1 right now in the
01:10:25 bedding is a horse called Just a Touch, who was second to Sierra Leone
01:10:29 in the bluegrass.
01:10:31 And he's a horse that's getting better and better and better.
01:10:33 He's only had three races, just like Justify a few years ago.
01:10:36 So he's very inexperienced, theoretically improving.
01:10:39 And then at-- he's 16 to 1.
01:10:42 And then at 17 to 1, there's a horse called Honor Marie, who was second
01:10:47 in the Louisiana Derby, who had already shown last year that he loves
01:10:52 Churchill Down.
01:10:53 And he's looked really good here in workouts in the morning.
01:10:56 Just a Touch is up close to the face.
01:10:59 Honor Marie will be back there with Sierra Leone toward the back of the
01:11:02 pack. But both those horses, I think, have a really good chance to sort
01:11:07 of sneak in to the trifectas and the superfectas.
01:11:11 So the horse that right now has a third best odds, maybe-- I don't know
01:11:15 what the scratches are, but Catching Freedom is right now, I think, 8 to 1.
01:11:18 I don't know if that's current, but we haven't talked about him.
01:11:21 He seems to be right in the conversation here.
01:11:24 What do you think about him?
01:11:25 He ran a really good race to win the Louisiana Derby, right?
01:11:28 Honor Marie was second.
01:11:29 He beat Honor Marie by a length in there.
01:11:31 They were last and next to last in the early part of the race.
01:11:35 So just like Sierra Leone, you know, those horses will all be way back
01:11:40 at the back of the pack.
01:11:41 I think they found out something in that race about Catching Freedom.
01:11:44 He didn't break very well.
01:11:45 And he had never been that far back before.
01:11:48 And that was the best race of his life.
01:11:49 And I think they found out that's the way he wants to run.
01:11:52 But he's still going to have to improve, I think, from that race into
01:11:58 the Kentucky Derby.
01:11:59 But no, he's definitely not without a chance.
01:12:03 So you're in the new paddock right now.
01:12:05 I know that they've changed the track up a little bit, huh?
01:12:08 They nerfed the track.
01:12:09 They made it softer.
01:12:10 They're trying to not have a repeat of what happened last year.
01:12:13 What changes have been made to the actual surface of the track?
01:12:16 It's the composition of the track.
01:12:19 It's the percentages of sand, silt, and clay.
01:12:21 They bought some new equipment to take care of the track a little bit
01:12:26 better.
01:12:26 One of the things that's going to be interesting, I think, is that there's
01:12:30 a higher percentage of clay, apparently, in the track.
01:12:33 And if you know anything about farming or whatever, I don't, but whatever
01:12:37 it is, clay holds moisture more than sand and silt.
01:12:41 This track was always known as a track that dried very, very quickly
01:12:46 because it had a higher percentage of sand.
01:12:49 And now with more clay in the track, there is at least some concern with
01:12:53 the trainers back there that if it rains Friday and it rains Saturday
01:12:57 morning, that the track may not dry as quickly on Kentucky Derby Day as
01:13:01 it has in the past.
01:13:02 So that might be the most immediate impact.
01:13:06 Yeah.
01:13:07 And then talking about Friday, usually give us something on the Kentucky
01:13:11 Oaks.
01:13:12 You will be on the broadcast.
01:13:13 We'll see you all weekend.
01:13:15 So what do you think in Kentucky Oaks for people who want to start on
01:13:18 Friday?
01:13:19 Look, I'll give you some horses to bet Friday and Saturday, right?
01:13:24 Okay.
01:13:24 And the Kentucky Oaks, we'll start with the Kentucky Oaks on Friday.
01:13:27 I have a very tough time separating the 5 Torpedo Anna and the 13 Just
01:13:35 FYI.
01:13:35 Right now, Torpedo Anna is the favorite in the early betting. Just FYI,
01:13:41 you know, it's almost a coin flip between the two horses.
01:13:44 So I would play exact this back and forth between those two. Right now,
01:13:48 Just FYI, I think 5 to 1, which would be a great price for her.
01:13:51 The horse I like the most in the two days for betting purposes is running
01:13:57 on Saturday in the seventh race.
01:13:59 It's a race called the Distaffed Turf Mile.
01:14:01 And her name is Copice.
01:14:04 C-O-P-I-C-E.
01:14:06 She breaks from number 11 in the seventh race on Saturday.
01:14:10 Her first race in the United States and the reviews of this horse back
01:14:16 at the barn in the mornings have been absolutely glowing.
01:14:19 And a lot of those European horses come over here and kick ass against
01:14:24 the American horses when they switch them to the turf.
01:14:26 And then a few races later, the tenth race is a race called the
01:14:30 Churchill Down Stakes.
01:14:32 It's a seven-foot long sprint.
01:14:33 I'm not positive this horse is fast enough to win, but it's going to
01:14:39 be 12 or 15 to 1.
01:14:41 And the horse could be right there.
01:14:43 And I'm going to bet it.
01:14:45 The horse's name is Track Mate.
01:14:46 Track Mate number 7 in the tenth race on Saturday.
01:14:53 Okay.
01:14:54 I like that.
01:14:55 I like that endorsement of it.
01:14:57 I'm not sure this horse is fast enough to win, but I'm going to bet on it.
01:15:00 Yeah.
01:15:00 At that price, you know, numbers wise, he can win.
01:15:05 In his last race at Oaklawn Park, it was just an allowance race.
01:15:08 You watch that race and you're like, "Whoa."
01:15:10 I mean, he's streaked around horses coming to the stretch.
01:15:14 And then drew off in one.
01:15:16 Dwayne Lucas trains him.
01:15:17 He's had blinkers twice.
01:15:19 He won both those races.
01:15:21 Last race, he really gave you that sort of wow factor when you watched
01:15:25 him run.
01:15:25 And this is not the toughest Churchill Down Stakes that we've seen over
01:15:28 the year.
01:15:29 So I think he's got a really good chance to be right there.
01:15:32 When you go blinkers on, are we basically saying that the horse is
01:15:37 just not mentally tough?
01:15:38 Yeah.
01:15:39 Okay.
01:15:40 Yeah.
01:15:41 Yeah.
01:15:42 It's typically that the horse is too distracted.
01:15:48 Right.
01:15:49 Right?
01:15:49 The horse is looking at the other horses.
01:15:51 The horse is looking at the crowd.
01:15:52 You know, the horses, especially in the infield of the Kentucky Derby,
01:15:56 "Oh, look over there.
01:15:57 Holy cow, look at that."
01:15:59 You know, and he's not focused on what he's doing in front of him,
01:16:02 right?
01:16:03 So the blinkers sort of help him not look at anything else except what's
01:16:06 just like right there.
01:16:07 The other thing is that sometimes horses, what the blinkers will do,
01:16:12 when they sharpen the focus, it makes horses often run faster early,
01:16:18 for whatever reason.
01:16:20 I guess it's because they're just more focused.
01:16:22 And so if some horses just have trouble early in the race and they drop
01:16:27 too far back, trainers will put blinkers on the horse, hoping that it
01:16:30 makes them show more speed.
01:16:32 And oftentimes it works.
01:16:33 Now, in terms of horse racing technology, have we ever thought about,
01:16:38 you know how like outfielders would wear the sunglasses that you can flip on
01:16:42 and off?
01:16:43 Have we thought about doing blinkers where it's like you can have the
01:16:46 blinkers on for the first start of the race and then you can flip them off at
01:16:50 the end?
01:16:51 Has that, I think I might have just invented a new thing.
01:16:55 You may have.
01:16:56 And before you know it, you may have those, you may have eye black under the
01:16:59 horse's eyes.
01:17:00 I like that.
01:17:00 You don't know, right?
01:17:01 Yeah.
01:17:02 I mean, but what you do see in horse racing, that's pretty funny, is that
01:17:07 some horses are claustrophobic and they don't want to go into the starting
01:17:12 gate.
01:17:12 This happens in Europe more than it does in the United States.
01:17:15 So they'll put a hood on them, a complete hood.
01:17:17 No eye holes.
01:17:19 They can't see anything.
01:17:20 And they'll put them in the gate and they'll load them in the gate and
01:17:24 they'll keep that hood on them.
01:17:25 And the jockey will have his hand on top of the hood.
01:17:28 And as soon as the gate opens, you'll throw the hood off.
01:17:31 Throw it behind him.
01:17:33 And then the horse, the horse will go on.
01:17:36 The day that the jockey forgets to take the hood off, that should be very
01:17:39 interesting.
01:17:40 Yeah, it sounds like they're taking the horse hostage and then they're like,
01:17:44 okay, you're free.
01:17:45 Try to get away.
01:17:45 And then it runs out.
01:17:47 That's actually a smart move.
01:17:48 What about this?
01:17:49 What about if you were to take, have a horse and have a train with a really
01:17:52 fat jockey for a while.
01:17:54 And then on race day, here's your real jockey.
01:17:56 He weighs a hundred fifty pounds less.
01:17:58 It's like a batting donut.
01:18:00 Yeah, it's like swinging a leaded bat or something like that.
01:18:03 There was a trainer named Larry Jones who still trains horses every now and
01:18:07 then.
01:18:07 He's had some really good horses over the years.
01:18:09 He had hard spun.
01:18:10 He was second in the Kentucky Derby way back when.
01:18:12 Larry weighs about a hundred and, probably about a hundred and seventy pounds or
01:18:16 whatever.
01:18:16 He would like to breeze his horses and get on them in the mornings.
01:18:21 And that was a little part of the theory.
01:18:24 Yeah.
01:18:24 Thought it would strengthen him up a little bit, right?
01:18:28 And then in the afternoon, you put on your, you know, hundred and ten pound
01:18:31 rider and boom.
01:18:32 You don't see that very often though.
01:18:34 Yeah.
01:18:35 Did it work?
01:18:35 I eat, but we want a lot of races.
01:18:37 Okay, that's a smart move.
01:18:39 It's a very smart move.
01:18:40 What's the minimum weight a jockey has to be?
01:18:42 Minimum or maximum?
01:18:44 Minimum.
01:18:44 Is there a minimum?
01:18:46 Well, I mean, typically nowadays, you don't see many races at all where the
01:18:52 minimum weight is any lower than like a hundred and twelve, hundred thirteen
01:18:56 pounds, right?
01:18:57 So if you do happen to have a super duper lightweight jockey, like Pat
01:19:02 Day used to be, right?
01:19:04 Pat Day was a natural lightweight.
01:19:06 Like I'm talking like a hundred and five pounds or something like that.
01:19:09 So when Pat would ride and his horse had to carry a hundred and fifteen
01:19:13 pounds, they just put ten pounds of lead weight into the saddle so that he
01:19:19 can, you know, carry the amount of weight that is required to carry.
01:19:22 As far as a maximum weight, typically nowadays, you know, it's very
01:19:27 difficult for a jockey to ride if he weighs more than a hundred and seventeen,
01:19:32 hundred and sixteen pounds.
01:19:33 Okay, because they're overweight.
01:19:35 They're overweight on too many races.
01:19:37 Yeah.
01:19:37 But yeah, I'm just thinking like, like, you know, like maybe a seven-year-old
01:19:45 on a horse.
01:19:46 Yeah.
01:19:46 Would they just be able to dominate?
01:19:48 Yeah, just ride, just standing on a maybe.
01:19:50 Like a fifty pound seven-year-old.
01:19:52 Have we thought about getting Jokic involved in American horse racing?
01:19:55 We know he loves horses and I feel like this would be right up his alley.
01:19:58 He's in the playoffs, obviously, so we can't do it now, but getting him
01:20:02 involved owning a horse and then he would ride on the back of the horse
01:20:05 to train it and then put a jockey on that horse is going to be so fast.
01:20:09 Hey, we got Jason Worth this year, you know, we got Aaron Rodgers will
01:20:14 probably be here.
01:20:15 Tom Brady will be here.
01:20:16 So yeah, I mean, it's good to many of these athletes involved with your
01:20:20 game.
01:20:20 Yeah.
01:20:21 All right, last question.
01:20:22 This has always been great.
01:20:23 We love having you on Randy.
01:20:24 It's a row back question.

01:20:29 Q-Zips, Polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts, rowback.com.
01:20:32 So this year's a little interesting for the Triple Crown.
01:20:35 I'll actually be there for the Belmont, which is going to be at Saratoga.
01:20:38 Is that going to change?
01:20:41 Yeah, hopefully I'll see you.
01:20:42 Is that going to change any of the horses that are in the Triple Crown?
01:20:46 You know, because I know you can obviously race the Preakness and Belmont
01:20:49 even if you're not in the Kentucky Derby, but the fact that it's in a
01:20:52 different place in a different track.
01:20:54 Does that change the dynamic and how how trainers are playing this out?
01:20:58 Not the fact that it's at a different track, but the fact that it's at a
01:21:03 different distance.
01:21:04 Yeah, because the Belmont is being run at Saratoga this year.
01:21:09 They don't feel comfortable running it at a mile and a half because then
01:21:14 you'd have to start it halfway around the turn.
01:21:16 Now it's been done in the past when the Belmont was run at Aqueduct way
01:21:20 back when, in the 60s I think, when they were the first time they were
01:21:24 rebuilding Belmont Park.
01:21:25 They ran at a mile and a half and they started it on the turn with no
01:21:29 problem because they felt it was important to keep that mile and a half
01:21:32 distance.
01:21:32 But this year, next year, the New York authorities have decided that it
01:21:38 would be better to run the Belmont Stakes at a mile and a quarter, which
01:21:42 completely changes the dynamic of the Triple Crown.
01:21:44 Right.
01:21:45 You know, the Belmont was always known as the test of the champion because
01:21:49 of that mile and a half distance that was the undoing of so many horses that
01:21:54 were trying to sweep the Triple Crown.
01:21:55 It's much to me, the distances of the races and the Belmont, especially
01:22:00 being a mile and a half, it's much more important to keep that tradition
01:22:05 than the amount of time between the Derby and the Britons and the
01:22:09 Britons and the Belmont.
01:22:10 But at a mile and a quarter, I think you're going to see a lot more
01:22:14 trainers want to run in the Belmont Stakes than if it were still a mile
01:22:19 and a half.
01:22:19 So this is going to be whoever, if someone wins the Triple Crown this
01:22:23 year or next year, we're going to just forever be like asterix bubble
01:22:26 championship different.
01:22:27 You're right.
01:22:28 Yes.
01:22:28 Absolutely.
01:22:30 I think that's unfortunate.
01:22:31 Yeah.
01:22:32 But on the other hand, you're going to get more horses running in the
01:22:35 races, which is good, right?
01:22:36 Well, more in the Belmont.
01:22:39 Yeah.
01:22:39 Yeah.
01:22:40 Man, Saratoga is incredible.
01:22:42 Oh, yeah.
01:22:43 Yeah.
01:22:44 And that's going to be quite the spectacle.
01:22:46 I wish I could see you there.
01:22:48 I'm not going to be there.
01:22:49 Okay.
01:22:49 Fox says the Belmont Stakes nowadays, but it's going to be like really,
01:22:54 really something special to see.
01:22:56 Okay.
01:22:56 All right.
01:22:57 So good.
01:22:57 Randy, thank you.
01:22:58 As always, we'll talk to you before the Preakness.
01:23:01 We're excited.

01:25:43 It is Keith Yandel.
01:25:44 We're talking some puck.
01:25:46 Yans.
01:25:47 Good to talk to you.
01:25:48 Yeah.
01:25:49 Yeah.
01:25:50 Yeah, you guys went over last podcast.
01:25:52 You saying very very very special guest and I get fucking nothing.
01:25:56 Yeah, and actually on this episode people are going to listen to this
01:26:00 after they listen to Randy Moss.
01:26:01 I think I gave him for varies.
01:26:03 Yeah, you got no.
01:26:06 How many berries do you think you should get?
01:26:08 None, but like I don't know fake one like very okay.
01:26:14 All right, very very there you go.
01:26:16 There was two yin's before we talk about some of these second round
01:26:19 matchups.
01:26:20 You were texting me yesterday and he he said he wishes he had memes
01:26:26 phone number.
01:26:26 We could have texted him and asked how many games you really thought
01:26:32 the Islanders are going to win.
01:26:33 So what we should might as well do it right now because you were
01:26:35 dealing with Frankie Borrelli and Islanders fans.
01:26:38 Yeah, they they thought that a 4-1 loss of the Hurricanes in that
01:26:42 first round series.
01:26:43 They were right there, which is insane is is means there.
01:26:48 Yeah means he's here.
01:26:49 Hey, I wanted his phone numbers because I wanted to be friends with
01:26:52 him.
01:26:52 I love memes but
01:26:55 Second, but like it's like Borrelli's making this big deal having
01:26:58 Stu finer come to his restaurant watch games like they had zero
01:27:03 chance of winning that series zero and do I love the fact that they
01:27:08 did it in heartbreaking fashion?
01:27:09 Yes.
01:27:10 I love it because you know, I played for the Rangers.
01:27:12 I hate the Islanders but the fact that they thought that they I'd
01:27:16 rather not be in the playoffs then think that you're going to win
01:27:19 a series or think you're going to win a game like it's just it's
01:27:22 just typical thinking of a you know, the Borrelli type fan.
01:27:27 Yeah, sad.
01:27:28 So you hated the Islanders.
01:27:29 Is that common like do do most players if it's their rival, they
01:27:33 actually have a hatred of them.
01:27:34 Well, I think when you play a team, you know, you play a team so
01:27:40 much or in the same division.
01:27:41 You're you know, a couple miles away and when you play the Islanders
01:27:45 especially back then when they were at Nassau Coliseum, it was the
01:27:49 worst hotel the worst food the walk to the rink is brutal.
01:27:53 So it's just there's nothing fun about going to that that town to
01:27:56 play a game but great fans loyal passionate, but you know, they
01:28:02 they're hanging on to their 1970s a little bit too too long.
01:28:06 Yeah.
01:28:06 Yeah.
01:28:07 All right.
01:28:07 So memes, what do you say to that?
01:28:08 Are you do you think you were right there?
01:28:10 I do think we were right there.
01:28:12 That's crazy people.
01:28:17 Talk how memes game to we probably should have won so to be should
01:28:22 have been to to going in to get game.
01:28:24 So that's one win.
01:28:25 Yeah, that one.
01:28:26 All right, and then it would have been coming back to the Island
01:28:28 three to okay would have won that they wouldn't want to stall one
01:28:31 game seven.
01:28:32 Okay.
01:28:33 All right, so that's how they would have done it.
01:28:34 All right, so my bad, maybe they would have won it.
01:28:36 It would have got a pass right to the finals if they won that
01:28:40 series.
01:28:40 Yeah.
01:28:41 All right.
01:28:41 So so let's start with let's start with the East because you just
01:28:44 mentioned your former team the Rangers.
01:28:46 They beat the Capitals very quickly.
01:28:48 It was like it was seven days exactly which I was trying to help
01:28:53 PFT being like if you're out in seven days, you just were never in
01:28:56 the playoffs.
01:28:56 Don't remember.
01:28:57 Are we at the point?
01:28:58 Is it early enough to do the rest versus thing?
01:29:01 Are we worried that the Rangers they played four games and they're
01:29:04 going to take a week off and now they got to get back out there.
01:29:07 Do they lose a little bit of their, you know, momentum going into
01:29:11 the next round?
01:29:11 I don't think so.
01:29:13 I think I think rest is such a big component, especially now during
01:29:17 playoffs.
01:29:18 Anytime you can get it is huge at the end of every series.
01:29:21 Pretty much every guys banged up going through something whether
01:29:25 it's a, you know, bruises or you know stuff that's broken guys are
01:29:29 battling through it.
01:29:30 So I think the rest component is huge anytime you can get it, especially
01:29:34 during the playoffs because you don't know if you're going to get
01:29:37 it next series or the series after and yeah, they might have a slow
01:29:41 first period but Caroline is going to have some rest to probably take
01:29:46 the under in that first game.
01:29:47 So the the Rangers is their penalty kill as good as it looked or is
01:29:52 it just that the Capitals are atrocious?
01:29:54 I think a little bit of both.
01:29:56 You didn't you didn't see the Capitals power play that you used to
01:30:00 see in the last 20 years with old me.
01:30:03 It's you know, they did a good good job of eliminating him.
01:30:07 You know, I don't think he had his best series that he's ever had
01:30:11 and I'm sure he would be the first guy to tell you that but you know,
01:30:15 a lot of hard work from that team at the end of the season to try to
01:30:17 get in they might have been out of gas, but I do think that the
01:30:21 Rangers PK and their power play their special teams are great.
01:30:24 They got a lot of they got a lot of dogs out there just guys that are
01:30:27 willing to pay the price block shots playoff time.
01:30:31 That's what it's all about and guys sacrificing themselves.
01:30:34 And I think the Rangers are one of the best teams at doing that and
01:30:38 you know, they got the guys that want to PK and then when you have
01:30:41 such a good power play like they do it just makes your your PK look
01:30:45 even better with Ovi specifically.
01:30:47 I've watched a lot of him this year.
01:30:50 I've watched his entire career in the playoffs.
01:30:53 He looked like a different guy entirely.
01:30:55 I'm I it was to a point where I started to get concerned like is this
01:30:58 the new Ovi is this just who he is now because he seemed to hit a wall
01:31:01 this year.
01:31:02 So maybe it was he's out of gas by the end of the season, but the way
01:31:05 that he played it was completely foreign to me as somebody that's
01:31:07 seen this guy's entire career haven't seen that type of play from Ovi
01:31:12 ever and so now I'm worried next year looking forward.
01:31:16 Is this just going to be Ovi trotting him out there trying to get him
01:31:19 out on power plays until he gets the record and then then the franchise
01:31:22 is just kind of treading water for the next season or maybe two seasons.
01:31:25 Yeah, I think it could I think it could be a little of that but yeah,
01:31:29 there were a few plays during that series when you know, I know when
01:31:33 I was with the Rangers we played the Washington and you know, a lot of
01:31:38 times like he'll come down the wall like he's usually in his spot up
01:31:41 there hitting a one-timer but if there's a loose puck and you're a
01:31:43 D-man going to get it, he's usually running you through the glass and
01:31:47 I didn't see much of that out of him.
01:31:49 But you know, it's like you guys, you know, you've said before on the
01:31:53 show father time is undefeated and you know, I don't know if they had
01:31:58 the best team to support him as well.
01:32:01 You know, I think they were lucky to get in with you know, obviously
01:32:04 the goal differentials everyone's been talking about but yeah, you can
01:32:08 see him especially, you know, he'll put his 20 games together where
01:32:11 he just goes on heaters plays well plays hard but I think I think the
01:32:16 days of where he's running guys through the boards, you know force
01:32:20 to be reckoned with out there those might be limited but you know, I
01:32:23 think when it comes to goal scoring he's I think he could do it till
01:32:26 he's 45 years old because he's got one of those shots where no one
01:32:30 wants to block it whether you're a defenseman or a goalie you don't
01:32:33 want to get hit by it.
01:32:34 So I think I think you're still going to see the you know, him scoring
01:32:39 goals and getting opportunities, but I think that the rest of that
01:32:42 stuff that made him so effective with you know, being a force out
01:32:45 there scary to play against.
01:32:47 He's a big dude like people don't realize he's probably 250 pounds,
01:32:51 you know, especially when playoffs come at the end of the year.
01:32:53 You're eating a lot of chicken parm during the season, right?
01:32:56 So it's you put on weight.
01:32:57 So he's probably playing a 250 running guys and not a fun man to
01:33:02 play against what so last question about the Rangers Matt Rempe who
01:33:06 electrified the NHL when he when he when he came up was fighting
01:33:10 every single night.
01:33:11 He turned down a fight in this series with Tom Wilson.
01:33:14 Does that matter at all in the locker room going forward?
01:33:17 Like hey, dude, it's a playoffs or was it simply the Rangers were
01:33:21 going to win that series?
01:33:22 No matter what don't waste your fights in this series.
01:33:25 Yeah, I think a little bit of both the key thing to fighting is
01:33:29 time and place and you know, you talk to guys like biz or guys like
01:33:32 you can hurt a team's moment your own team's momentum.
01:33:36 You can help another team's momentum.
01:33:37 If you're up by a goal, it's usually an unwritten law that you
01:33:40 don't fight.
01:33:41 The other teams fighters probably going to try to fight you to get
01:33:44 his team going a little bit, but that's when you kind of, you know,
01:33:47 shake it off and say no, no, no wait till it's tied or whatever.
01:33:50 But usually when when fights like that happen, especially in playoffs,
01:33:53 it's usually a little more organic whether a guy gets ran from behind
01:33:57 or stuck in the face, but I think I think the days of where guys are
01:34:01 just, you know, tapping shin pads at the at the red line and saying
01:34:04 hey, we're going this shift.
01:34:05 I think that's kind of done especially during playoffs because
01:34:08 it's it's all about momentum for your team.
01:34:11 I can't I can't remember exactly the play.
01:34:13 You're was it at home or on the road?
01:34:15 I think it was game three and the three or four but Wilson was
01:34:20 trying to get after him a couple times in this series and the Rangers
01:34:22 were up one in that especially on the road to like you're you don't
01:34:26 need to fight on the road because you're just going to get the other
01:34:28 team's crowd into it at home.
01:34:30 You're probably looking for it a little more but on the road, you
01:34:33 don't you don't need to get the other teams crowd into it, you know,
01:34:37 especially like PFT.
01:34:38 He'll be taking his shirt off and yeah, waving it around like PD
01:34:41 Pablo. Yeah, another dumb question about Rempe.
01:34:44 So he comes up and he fights.
01:34:46 I can't remember.
01:34:47 It was like four or five of the first games that he played in the
01:34:51 locker room.
01:34:51 Is there anyone like hey, dude, we get it like we love you.
01:34:55 You're good.
01:34:55 Like after the third fight, they're like, hey, you're good with
01:34:58 us. Like we know you're the tough guy now, like we're we're good
01:35:01 going forward.
01:35:02 You're our guy or was he like I'm just going to keep fighting until
01:35:05 everyone in here says to me personally that they love me.
01:35:08 It's a good way to get the, you know, get the the graces of your
01:35:14 teammates is by going out and fighting especially when you're a
01:35:18 young player trying to make a name for yourself, but
01:35:21 I don't I don't think he needs to do it and you'll see during
01:35:24 playoffs like he won't be doing it as much.
01:35:25 He'll be playing and he's a scary guy to play against like
01:35:30 he's six seven flies around.
01:35:33 So I think he's more effective getting in on the four checks
01:35:36 scaring d-men, you know, making plays when he can but but at
01:35:40 the end of the day, the fighting stuff in playoffs is not going
01:35:44 to be is going to be more organic.
01:35:46 Yeah.
01:35:47 How does how do you usually initiate a fight?
01:35:49 Is it a you want to go?
01:35:50 Yeah, you want one that a lot of guys say you want one.
01:35:56 Yeah, you want to shot at the belt.
01:35:58 That's what I used to say.
01:35:59 How many fights did you log?
01:36:02 Not many maybe eight.
01:36:05 Yeah, 16 years.
01:36:08 Yeah.
01:36:08 Is there a good way to turn down a fight or do you just skate
01:36:11 away?
01:36:11 Like can you say not right now?
01:36:12 I can't do it right now busy.
01:36:13 I used to always say either my hand my hand hurts or or a coach
01:36:18 won't let me.
01:36:20 Yeah, coach.
01:36:21 Coach.
01:36:22 Coach.
01:36:22 So we know.
01:36:24 Okay other series in in the East.
01:36:27 It hasn't been finished.
01:36:28 Do you want to I know that we have game six tonight.
01:36:30 We're taping this in the afternoon.
01:36:32 Is there any way the Leafs can win this and take it to seven
01:36:36 and then possibly steal this because it felt like they were
01:36:38 dead especially with Austin Matthews out like they're yelling
01:36:42 at each other on the on the bench.
01:36:44 Like is there any chance the Leafs can somehow get this to
01:36:47 seven and maybe win?
01:36:49 I don't know a lot of it.
01:36:51 It has a little bit of a feeling of last year when the Bruins
01:36:55 lost to the Panthers with, you know, missing a couple goals
01:37:00 or Marshawn missed last year.
01:37:02 I think coil missed one this year.
01:37:04 So it has a little bit of that same feeling but I think I think
01:37:07 Toronto played their best game last game and I thought the
01:37:10 Bruins were not very good at all.
01:37:12 They it was a sloppy game.
01:37:14 Not a lot of it looked like the ice that the parquet was still
01:37:18 down like pucks were bouncing everywhere.
01:37:20 So I don't think they can pull this one off.
01:37:23 I think the Bruins have the leadership the veteran presence
01:37:26 in that locker room that they'll be able to you know, win
01:37:28 one of two but if they lose tonight man, it's going to get
01:37:32 it's going to get a little testy in the waters in Boston.
01:37:35 Do you think maybe Ryan Whitney turned the series around with
01:37:38 the the Photoshop that he personally created and put out there
01:37:41 online and the Leafs saw that and they're like fuck this we're
01:37:43 going to go out there and win.
01:37:44 I didn't even see that.
01:37:46 Are you going to see the Photoshop?
01:37:48 Watch it big cat.
01:37:52 Why not?
01:37:52 Maybe yeah, you would have a great central handle.
01:37:55 So he knows what not to share online.
01:37:56 It would be great if he answers the one who created it.
01:37:58 He's just he's just like Kaiser.
01:38:00 So Zay's like I don't even have a computer.
01:38:01 He's a masterminding all these AI images.
01:38:05 Yeah, I wouldn't I wouldn't put it past you.
01:38:06 I'm out West.
01:38:08 So the Dallas Golden Knights series everyone said this is
01:38:12 going to be a war.
01:38:13 You saw the Golden Knights win the first two games like oh
01:38:15 shit, maybe the Golden Knights run away with this now.
01:38:17 We're back to war and it's 3-2 Dallas.
01:38:19 They won three in a row that same kind of question with the
01:38:23 Leafs. Like I know the Golden Knights can do it.
01:38:25 They just want a cup.
01:38:26 But do you see them being able to force this to a game 7 and
01:38:29 what happened in the last three games that that the Golden
01:38:32 Knights went from a 2-0 winning two on the road to now fighting
01:38:36 for their life?
01:38:36 Yeah, it's a good question.
01:38:39 And I had Dallas going to the finals last year.
01:38:42 I think I might even have them going to the finals this year
01:38:44 because they got Ottinger who is a top three goalie in the
01:38:47 league. They got young studs.
01:38:50 They got older guys that have been around forever that have
01:38:54 you know, done a lot of damage in this league.
01:38:56 So I think that their team the way that they're made up is,
01:38:59 you know, a tough team to beat but Vegas.
01:39:01 I don't know if it's you know, everyone complains about you
01:39:04 know, the guys being on LTIR and not playing the last half
01:39:08 of the season to stay under the cap.
01:39:09 But to me it looks like it's hurting them a little bit this
01:39:12 year. I think you know Stone and Hurdle.
01:39:15 I don't think they look, you know, like themselves as dominant
01:39:19 as they are when they're a hundred percent healthy, you know,
01:39:21 they could be still hurt but it's one of those things when
01:39:24 you go on a run like last year, you're winning games, you're
01:39:28 beating people up, you know, they play a very physical game.
01:39:33 So it could be one of those things where they're just tired.
01:39:35 They're, you know, kind of need the rest but you know, it's
01:39:39 also they're running into a good team first.
01:39:42 I know that they were the eighth seed but it's you know, playing
01:39:44 Dallas first round is never fun.
01:39:46 And this is probably been the best series.
01:39:48 I think of yeah, it could be a Western Conference final
01:39:51 matchup. If you know Vegas, you know, had had their weapons
01:39:57 all year.
01:39:57 I think they would have finished a little bit higher.
01:39:59 But yeah, I think Dallas.
01:40:01 I think this is their year to pull this one off in in in beat
01:40:05 Vegas. What about Edmonton?
01:40:07 I know it's hard to say how good they are right now because
01:40:10 they beat the Kings.
01:40:11 It feels like they do that every single season.
01:40:13 If I was a Kings fan, I would just I would despise all of
01:40:15 Canada, but they they advanced pretty easily.
01:40:18 Was it is it three years in a row?
01:40:19 I think didn't think they lost the first round.
01:40:25 I think they lost.
01:40:26 I think they lost to LA three years ago.
01:40:28 Oh, did that they lost three years ago.
01:40:29 But yeah, it feels like it feels like last year.
01:40:31 I know they play.
01:40:32 I don't know.
01:40:32 Yeah.
01:40:33 So so Edmonton advances.
01:40:34 Is this do you think that this would be the year because we're
01:40:37 all over it last year with Connor McDavid.
01:40:39 We're like this could be the year that he gets it done because
01:40:41 we won't acknowledge his greatness until he gets a ring facts.
01:40:44 That's something that you know, it's very important to us on
01:40:46 this show.
01:40:47 So until then he's not a winner.
01:40:48 Would this be it feels like this is a tougher West with Colorado
01:40:53 and then whoever comes out of that that Vegas Dallas series.
01:40:56 Yeah, I think I think that they have the easiest, you know,
01:41:02 matchups to get to the Western Conference finals, you know,
01:41:05 obviously with playing LA who they've had their number the
01:41:08 last couple years like you said and then they're going to get
01:41:11 the winner of Vancouver Nashville and I think that they'll
01:41:14 they'll work either one of those teams, but I don't I don't
01:41:18 think it's their year and you hate to say it just because you
01:41:22 know, what what McDavid and dry Seidel and Hyman have done
01:41:26 this year and what they do for the league, but I just think
01:41:29 those other teams are a little bit more deep better goal-tending
01:41:33 better defensively, but I do like how Edmonton is bulked up
01:41:38 on the back end, you know bringing in big guys.
01:41:40 I think you see in playoffs.
01:41:42 So, you know, a lot of the teams that have the big strong heavy
01:41:45 D. They're the teams that are usually winning it or going
01:41:50 deep, but I just don't see it this year for them.
01:41:53 You know, hopefully one day McDavid gets one but I don't I
01:41:58 think the West is too stacked and at the end of the day, I
01:42:01 think the East is going to win it this year has the league
01:42:03 gone to back to bigger players because I know it's switched
01:42:07 a little bit in like the you know, the Blackhawks run.
01:42:10 I they had big players but like there was some teams with
01:42:13 some a lot more skill and speed as it do you see it like going
01:42:17 back towards like you need the bulky guys and just kind of
01:42:20 hammer teams.
01:42:21 I think I think in playoffs you have to but you know, the way
01:42:25 that the game is you have to be mobile.
01:42:26 You can't just be a big, you know, when I started in the
01:42:29 league, it was 6 4 6 5 D men who just you know, and you couldn't
01:42:33 get near the front of the net that couldn't skate as well as
01:42:35 the guys can now.
01:42:36 So I think you got to have a combination of you know, big
01:42:39 guys that can that can move the puck decently and can clear
01:42:43 the front of the net.
01:42:43 But yeah, it's definitely I think during the regular season
01:42:48 you see that, you know, the smaller guys the more finesse
01:42:50 guys they'll shine a little bit more but when it comes down
01:42:53 time for playoffs, it's usually the the teams with the you
01:42:57 know, big heavy D that that are winning games.
01:42:59 Yeah, what do we think about what's going on with the whole
01:43:02 the Arizona Utah thing?
01:43:03 So the players were told at the end of the season.
01:43:06 I have to imagine that some of them knew that this was a very
01:43:09 good possibility that was going to happen, but they're moving
01:43:12 to Utah.
01:43:13 They don't have a name yet.
01:43:14 Do you is there anything that you've heard in terms of like
01:43:17 what they're going to be called?
01:43:18 I've heard a few things.
01:43:20 I like the Yetis, but I don't know.
01:43:23 It doesn't doesn't really matter to me.
01:43:26 But I think I think it's a good thing.
01:43:28 Obviously you hate to see especially, you know, Phoenix
01:43:31 is where I started my career, you know, loved it there loved
01:43:35 my time there, but I think it's just time for them to move
01:43:38 on and then hopefully get in the right owner and get a team
01:43:41 back there because you know, it's one of those cities that
01:43:44 I think needs to have hockey like if you look at you know,
01:43:48 Austin Matthews a guy from Arizona if he didn't have that,
01:43:51 you know, the coyotes there and a guy like Shane don't to
01:43:53 look up to he would have never played hockey and I think
01:43:56 he's came out and said that so I think you got to have a
01:43:59 team there.
01:44:00 My guess is they're going to get the right ownership group
01:44:03 to come in build a stadium near where you know, the highly
01:44:08 dense population is in Scottsdale Tempe North Scottsdale
01:44:13 get the right owners and get the right guys to run that
01:44:16 team and I think it would flourish.
01:44:17 I got a name for you.
01:44:18 That should that should be helping out to run that team
01:44:21 Commodore that dude's awesome.
01:44:23 Mike Commodore.
01:44:25 Yeah, that guy's the final four guys a fucking maniac.
01:44:28 Yeah, I love him.
01:44:29 I don't know him that well, but he is a funny man.
01:44:32 Yeah.
01:44:33 I mean, it's just hockey guys are always every hockey guy
01:44:35 is funny.
01:44:36 I don't understand what you guys do.
01:44:37 Yeah, but they do you tell yetis?
01:44:39 I think that's that's a winner of a name.
01:44:40 Yeah, I yans I went to I went back to Madison to do they
01:44:45 have like an end of the year Sports Award.
01:44:47 So I was the MC and it was like a thousand athletes in the
01:44:53 whole auditorium.
01:44:54 And of course the entire hockey team was in the front row.
01:44:57 I think they had been camping out for like like a week and
01:45:00 I was just like now I feel at home.
01:45:02 Like as I just know those guys they're funny and they're
01:45:04 going to they actually listen to barstool and pardon my
01:45:07 take. So it's something about hockey guys.
01:45:08 Yeah, they're the best and especially college kids, though,
01:45:13 you know, obviously the audience that you guys have and
01:45:16 what you know, all the enjoyment you guys bring to everyone.
01:45:19 It's they must have loved it and I can only imagine being
01:45:21 a young kid listening to you up there and were they were
01:45:24 they giving you shit or anything?
01:45:25 Yeah, they were giving me shit and then they all came up
01:45:28 and asked for a picture after and they're giving me shit
01:45:29 about my I was wearing a shirt without a collar.
01:45:33 It was I don't know what someone sent it to me as fashion
01:45:36 choice that I probably should have been doing have a stain
01:45:38 on there.
01:45:38 No, it looked like I look like a priest.
01:45:40 Oh nice.
01:45:40 And then they were there give me shit because I wasn't going
01:45:43 to go to the bar with them.
01:45:44 You didn't go out with them, dude.
01:45:46 I got to work.
01:45:47 We do PMT sound like biz.
01:45:51 Yeah, business like that.
01:45:53 Yeah, but biz when he says I got to work.
01:45:55 He just goes and takes a nap.
01:45:56 Yeah, I actually had to work.
01:45:58 We had to do PMT.
01:45:59 After after all the playoff games, I would have loved to
01:46:02 go out.
01:46:02 You tell me this doesn't go out anymore.
01:46:04 He goes out.
01:46:06 Yeah, I actually had a fun night with him the other the other
01:46:09 night. He is out of his mind that guy what happened?
01:46:12 Do any cameos?
01:46:14 No, does he is he on cameo?
01:46:17 Oh, yeah.
01:46:18 Oh, yeah, you don't know about the there's a great one.
01:46:20 You don't know about the famous cameo.
01:46:21 I'll send it to you.
01:46:24 Yes.
01:46:25 No, I think my taken down.
01:46:27 It might be gone.
01:46:28 It's too hot for the internet.
01:46:29 Yeah, it was too hot for the internet.
01:46:30 Wasn't him.
01:46:30 It was the guy in the background.
01:46:32 We have it, Max.
01:46:33 Somebody's got it.
01:46:34 All right, well, I'll get I'll get we'll find it.
01:46:36 We'll send it to you.
01:46:37 Yeah, tell us what like an average night out on the town
01:46:38 with business like.
01:46:39 Well, the night he came out with me, it was me, my wife,
01:46:45 three of our friends and their wives, and he had some girl
01:46:49 who was going to come to dinner with us like just some girl.
01:46:51 He's never met.
01:46:52 Then he was like, all right, I'm going to go meet her.
01:46:54 He shows up.
01:46:55 She's with her boyfriend.
01:46:57 He's like, hey, what's going on here?
01:47:01 Like, am I interrupting anything?
01:47:03 And the guy was like, yes, my girl.
01:47:05 And then he went to the bathroom and then the girl was like,
01:47:09 no, he's not my boyfriend.
01:47:11 So he his mind was in a pretzel.
01:47:13 So yeah, it was fun to pick him up the next day.
01:47:16 Go to lunch and him.
01:47:16 Tell me that story.
01:47:18 Oh my God.
01:47:19 Only biz.
01:47:20 Oh, yeah, I got my bull coming over.
01:47:21 He's a he's a former ice hockey player.
01:47:23 You love him.
01:47:24 Who give me the three best goalies in the playoffs right now?
01:47:28 I think you got to put Bobrovsky at one.
01:47:32 Yeah.
01:47:33 Ottinger probably a two nights and then I'll go Shuster
01:47:41 can three.
01:47:42 Okay.
01:47:43 Yeah.
01:47:43 So in is it is it a big difference between the three?
01:47:46 Like is it is one just playing at such a different level or
01:47:49 all three of those guys could easily win the cup.
01:47:52 I think Bob's playing at a different level.
01:47:54 I think, you know that that save that he made.
01:47:58 I think it was game to where you just reach back made the
01:48:02 save.
01:48:02 I think like every time I see it.
01:48:04 I just think that that's the start of the DVD, you know,
01:48:08 when you went when you win the championship, I just think
01:48:11 you think back to all the Stanley Cup winners.
01:48:14 There's always like that one save where a guy makes and
01:48:17 it's, you know, just cements his legacy as an all-time great
01:48:22 and Bob's one of those guys.
01:48:23 He's a competitor.
01:48:24 He's an amazing goalie and you know, easy guy to root for.
01:48:28 Yeah.
01:48:29 So who do you have in the Stanley Cup final?
01:48:31 I got Florida and Colorado.
01:48:39 Oh, yeah, because I Colorado gets like, you know, they win
01:48:44 the cup and then last year it felt like it's hard to repeat
01:48:48 and and so many miles on their legs and now I'm watching them.
01:48:52 I'm like, oh, yeah, this team was really dominant two years
01:48:54 ago, like what and not a lot has changed.
01:48:57 They they they made quick work at the first round and they
01:49:00 play such a fun style of hockey.
01:49:02 It feels like maybe it's just personal like people have kind
01:49:05 of like slept on Colorado a little bit.
01:49:08 Yeah, I think they have for sure.
01:49:10 And I think it's probably because they don't have that,
01:49:12 you know, household name goaltender.
01:49:14 If they did then I think everyone would have them as their
01:49:16 favorite, but you just love to like Nathan McKinnon every
01:49:21 shift.
01:49:22 He's doing something that is just special and you know,
01:49:24 getting to know, you know, hearing more about him the way
01:49:28 he is in the locker room.
01:49:29 He trains with Crosby all summer.
01:49:30 Like you just know he's demanding a lot out of his team
01:49:34 in between every period after every game.
01:49:37 He's holding guys accountable, you know, probably the best,
01:49:40 you know, I don't know if he's a vocal leader, but the way
01:49:43 that he plays probably the best leader in the game right
01:49:45 now, just given a hundred percent effort.
01:49:48 Like he skates like it's his last shift every single shift.
01:49:51 It's wild to me like in he does it for 82 games and then
01:49:54 in the playoffs like most guys like it's a lot to do all
01:49:57 year and he brings it he's worth the price of admission
01:50:01 and you know, obviously he's won his cup, but I think it's
01:50:06 one of those things he wants.
01:50:07 He wants more.
01:50:08 He's not satisfied.
01:50:09 Yeah.
01:50:09 So it sounds like you have the the Panthers over the avalanche
01:50:12 in the finals.
01:50:13 I can you said you thought the East was going to win it
01:50:14 this year, right?
01:50:15 Yeah, I think it's the Panthers year.
01:50:17 I just they're a fun team to watch their they play so hard.
01:50:24 They're big guys are playing great Barkov had an amazing
01:50:29 closing game against Tampa and you know, Tampa was, you
01:50:32 know, the kryptonite for a long time, you know, those guys
01:50:35 and I think you see the changing of the guard a little
01:50:37 bit, you know, little 400 miles South.
01:50:40 I think it now it's like the Panthers are kind of running
01:50:43 the East a little bit the last two years anyways, so it's
01:50:47 it's fun to see what they've been able to do for hockey
01:50:50 down here and you know, getting people interested and
01:50:54 you know, just every everywhere I go now.
01:50:56 It's just people are talking about the team and you know,
01:50:59 it's just fun to have it around and you know, especially
01:51:02 in a market like this where it's not, you know, a cold
01:51:05 city where people grew up playing hockey.
01:51:07 It's one of those things.
01:51:08 It's came.
01:51:09 It's came organically with with, you know, how well the
01:51:12 team's been playing.
01:51:13 Do you call them the peas because we call them the peas
01:51:15 but that's only because Brooks calls them the peas.
01:51:17 I do not call them the peas.
01:51:19 No, they're not the piece.
01:51:20 The thirst.
01:51:21 What do you call them?
01:51:22 The cats the cats.
01:51:24 Oh, yeah, that's who I like that.
01:51:26 This may be outdated because we're going to tape the beginning
01:51:29 of the show after the playoff games tonight.
01:51:32 But do you think Hank's being a pussy not being cocky Hank?
01:51:38 I do kind of hate hate to pile on Hank because he's my guy,
01:51:43 you know mask guy, but I think I think you need to you need
01:51:47 to act a little more cocky Hank like it's in you it's in you
01:51:50 to fucking give it to the people, you know, I think a little
01:51:53 bit that has heard him is the Patriots and the whole lighthouse
01:51:57 thing, but he hasn't recovered from the light.
01:52:02 Has not been in my wrong.
01:52:05 He hasn't been the same since the lighthouse.
01:52:07 It's true.
01:52:07 You could all you could track it all back to the lighthouse.
01:52:10 Yeah, it's where it's where his cockiness just kind of fell
01:52:14 out of it might be he's way in the Patriots in general.
01:52:16 It's hard to be cocky.
01:52:17 No, but the lighthouse mostly.
01:52:18 Yes, that's fair.
01:52:20 I'm hoping he's more into golf right now that kind of that's
01:52:24 a chill sport like he's true.
01:52:26 He's banging balls and you know, just rooting for his teams
01:52:29 like a like a gentleman.
01:52:31 But yeah, I'd like to see that the cocky Hank especially
01:52:33 with the Celtics like just fucking bring it out.
01:52:35 Yeah, this is why we need the Sixers to play against the Celtics
01:52:39 because that Hank would have no choice.
01:52:41 He would not be able to get out.
01:52:42 So if he would naturally revert back to like, fuck you Philly,
01:52:45 I'm a dick.
01:52:46 The Sixers fucking stink and so does Max.
01:52:49 Yeah, so we're gonna I mean, what do you have?
01:52:53 Do you have anything to say to him before he goes to war tonight?
01:52:55 He's he's got a little bounce to his step, you know winning.
01:52:58 I don't think he thought he was going to win game five and
01:53:00 now he's got a little bounce to his step where he's like this
01:53:03 might be we might be back.
01:53:05 This might actually work.
01:53:06 He's lifting this morning.
01:53:07 Yeah, he was what he's lifting.
01:53:09 He's he's getting back in shape third time this week for the
01:53:12 record.
01:53:12 Hell yeah, yeah.
01:53:14 Look out.
01:53:14 Look out ladies.
01:53:16 Whoa.
01:53:18 Well, he's got a girlfriend.
01:53:22 His girlfriend has a room.
01:53:23 Max just blacked out for a second.
01:53:28 He just said that he's like, wait, were you threatening to
01:53:31 beat up women?
01:53:31 Is that what you're saying?
01:53:32 I'm just saying.
01:53:33 I don't know.
01:53:34 I thought it was look out women.
01:53:36 Don't want to see me.
01:53:37 Hey ladies, you want to go?
01:53:39 Yeah, let's go.
01:53:40 Yeah, you want one?
01:53:40 No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
01:53:44 Max.
01:53:45 No, they're going to lose.
01:53:46 What?
01:53:47 Come on.
01:53:47 This is gonna be after.
01:53:49 Yeah, he's doing a bit.
01:53:50 Yeah, they're gonna lose.
01:53:51 He's doing a bit.
01:53:52 All right.
01:53:52 Well, yeah, I got one last question.
01:53:54 It's the row back question.

01:54:02 How's the golf game right now?
01:54:03 Are you in peak?
01:54:04 Do you golf all summer in Florida?
01:54:06 Because that's got to be miserable weather.
01:54:07 No, I go up to Nantucket in the summer.
01:54:10 I'm not down here.
01:54:11 I get out of yeah, it's way too hot.
01:54:14 But yeah, I play a decent amount in the summer times.
01:54:16 I not as much as during the winter because I usually just play when the
01:54:19 kids are in school.
01:54:20 How's the game going?
01:54:23 My game is probably the best it's ever been.
01:54:26 I'm playing well steady.
01:54:27 Right around like 77 78 every pretty much.
01:54:33 Oh, that's pretty good.
01:54:34 What do you think about Tigers brands rollout yesterday?
01:54:37 Did you like it is what the rollout of his brand Tigers knew the logo
01:54:42 and all that shit that everyone's pissed off about?
01:54:44 Yeah, Whit said it looked like what's that?
01:54:48 It's like a chain fish store like a fish restaurant like fish bones
01:54:53 or something.
01:54:53 Yeah.
01:54:53 Yeah, fish grill.
01:54:54 Yeah, bone fish grill.
01:54:56 He said it looked like that which I was dying laughing at.
01:54:59 Yeah.
01:54:59 Yeah, I don't know.
01:55:01 I don't love it, but I don't know.
01:55:05 Yeah, Roback's way better.
01:55:06 How long I brought it up.
01:55:06 How long does it take you to get news because you're not online?
01:55:10 Like how when did you find out OJ died?
01:55:12 Did you find out when when we said it on the podcast?
01:55:15 Oh, gee.
01:55:16 Running back.
01:55:18 No, actually my group chat with my buddies back home is probably
01:55:24 where I get all my news.
01:55:25 That's scary.
01:55:27 And I'm one of those guys like I don't look stuff up like I like
01:55:31 to ask like, you know, old school like ask people.
01:55:34 Yeah, things up.
01:55:36 So I like to ask people so people like if I ask a question someone
01:55:39 could lie to me and I just believe it.
01:55:41 Oh shit.
01:55:42 We might have to start lying to you.
01:55:43 Yeah.
01:55:44 Well, we'll have to implant some news into you next time you're
01:55:46 on the show.
01:55:46 Yeah.
01:55:47 Yeah.
01:55:48 Yeah.
01:55:48 All right.
01:55:49 Well, Jens will have you back on maybe Cup final.
01:55:53 We also got to get you up here to play some golf.
01:55:55 I know we're going to do a golf video.
01:55:57 Yeah, I told Hank you guys got to play butler national.
01:56:00 It's my favorite course in all in Chicago, but it's an amazing
01:56:04 track.
01:56:05 Hey, and then I looked it up and it was like one of the most
01:56:08 private clubs, you know, you got to you got to know someone
01:56:10 who you know, get us in there.
01:56:11 Yeah, we know Jens.
01:56:12 He'll get us in.
01:56:14 No problem.
01:56:15 Yeah, as long as you're cocky about the about the Bruins and
01:56:17 the Celtics.
01:56:18 I got you.
01:56:18 Oh deal.
01:56:19 There it is.
01:56:20 There it is.
01:56:21 All right, Jens.
01:56:22 Thanks so much, man.

01:57:11 I drank four sodas.
01:57:13 Whoa drink for I think I might have had three or four.

01:57:16 It was too much soda.
01:57:17 Use code PMC 24 20% off your order at participating locations.
01:57:22 Okay, let's wrap up the show.
01:57:25 Fire Fest of the week Henry.
01:57:28 Yes.
01:57:28 I was having a good.
01:57:31 Thank you.
01:57:32 Wearing a hat.
01:57:33 I am wearing a hat.
01:57:35 I work.
01:57:36 I worked out this morning and haven't showered yet.
01:57:38 So I'm still I had to throw the hat on you look strong and
01:57:41 working out.
01:57:42 I've been grinding your legs look strong like they got some
01:57:44 bounce in them.
01:57:44 Yeah, your whole body looks strong turning into an athlete.
01:57:47 No one you say this is gaslighting.
01:57:49 No, no.
01:57:50 Okay, you guys are being honest like you always are.
01:57:52 Yeah, actually we were gaslighting.
01:57:55 Damn.
01:57:55 Yeah, you look strong.
01:57:56 You're going to dunk in no time.
01:57:57 Yeah, and and Hank he is so strong.
01:58:00 If I were Hank, I'd probably even quit training because he's
01:58:03 already so strong probably doesn't need to work out anymore.
01:58:05 What have we settled on the we're going to do that the top
01:58:07 of the show.
01:58:08 Yeah, we already did got it.
01:58:10 People already listening to it.
01:58:11 How do you think it went?
01:58:12 Well, you guys you guys you guys probably folded and listen
01:58:16 to what everyone said.
01:58:17 Actually, I mean listen to what everyone's doing right now.
01:58:23 Let's know.
01:58:23 No, no, no, no, because it's going to be at the top of the
01:58:24 show.
01:58:25 We're going to say we already talked about what did everyone
01:58:27 say?
01:58:27 I won't I'm not I'm not going to give him away my hand.
01:58:30 Okay, but just never reveals the secrets.
01:58:32 But speaking of comments and usually, you know, we're pretty
01:58:37 elusive to comments.
01:58:38 Don't let him get to me.
01:58:39 But I won in our YouTube the other day and the top comment
01:58:41 just said Hank feels like he has wanted to do the show in
01:58:43 three years.
01:58:44 Oh, that hurt my feelings.
01:58:45 That's not true.
01:58:46 You can't been fine.
01:58:48 You can't let you can't let the comments get to you because
01:58:53 there's always there's always someone who's going to say
01:58:56 something mean like there's there could be a hundred comments
01:58:59 one could be mean 99 could be good.
01:59:01 The only one you're going to actually read is the one and
01:59:03 then it will ruin your day.
01:59:04 Well, it's usually like, you know, if it's in my own personal,
01:59:07 you know, Twitter Instagram, whatever.
01:59:08 I'm used to just not, you know, filtering them out.
01:59:10 It's when you catch a ricochet.
01:59:11 Yeah, like you're not expecting you're not expecting it.
01:59:14 I go.
01:59:14 Let's see what people say about the episode.
01:59:15 It's like the number one comment just like Hank looks like
01:59:18 he hates doing the show and I was like, what the fuck?
01:59:20 No.
01:59:20 Hey, that was Hank.
01:59:22 If you've noticed Hank, he has not been cocky Hank and he's
01:59:25 been having like you can see it on his face.
01:59:27 He's not being honest with us and not being honest with you
01:59:30 the listener by not fully embracing his confidence and his
01:59:33 cockiness and it's only three years.
01:59:35 We're talking three years.
01:59:36 We wait.
01:59:36 The fifth mechanism is to just go but hold on.
01:59:40 I blame not having a desk over here.
01:59:42 Oh not knowing what to do with it.
01:59:43 We'll get you a desk.
01:59:44 Let's unpack this because remember we also had a month where
01:59:48 you had to do your stand-up special.
01:59:50 So now we're down to two years 11 months that you haven't
01:59:52 wanted to do the show and then the whole Lighthouse thing
01:59:54 the Lighthouse that affected him from September through December.
01:59:58 Yeah, you can't I have never felt like you don't want to do
02:00:02 the show except for that time you asked us to not do the show
02:00:04 anymore.
02:00:04 That was more than three years.
02:00:05 I was more than three years ago.
02:00:07 Actually, that was exactly three years ago when he said I
02:00:10 don't want to do the show anymore.
02:00:11 I also had to do a vlog for an ad where I said in the video
02:00:15 that Hank does nothing.
02:00:16 Oh and it does a lot to be fair to Hank that was that was
02:00:20 that was for the bit the full story behind Hank not wanting
02:00:22 to do the show wasn't because he didn't like doing the show.
02:00:24 It was because he wanted for the show is because you want
02:00:27 to take on bigger responsibilities across the board.
02:00:30 I've never you know, if you'd have time to do the show.
02:00:33 Yeah, I just didn't like listening to my voice.
02:00:34 Yeah, really being honest when you had to edit it yourself.
02:00:36 I've never felt like you didn't want to do the show.
02:00:39 Yeah, you can't you can't let the comments get that wasn't
02:00:44 that was getting close to a but no, I I've never really like
02:00:48 there's I mean, there's listen.
02:00:50 Here's real talk.
02:00:52 We've been doing the show for fucking long-ass time now
02:00:54 eight years.
02:00:55 If you've been listening for eight years, there has been
02:00:58 times when the show has been like humming.
02:01:00 There's been times when it's dip.
02:01:01 There's it just goes in waves.
02:01:03 Like that's just what it is.
02:01:04 Like what other podcasts.
02:01:06 There's not many podcasts with this many people who have
02:01:09 been doing it for this long.
02:01:10 Like there's podcasts that have one person who does the show
02:01:13 and they have guests at like, you know what I mean?
02:01:15 Like that's a different dynamic.
02:01:17 So I I've never felt like oh man Hank hates us or doesn't
02:01:20 want to be here.
02:01:20 No, I've definitely I've thought that Hank hates us.
02:01:23 Also.
02:01:23 I feel like we're in a great we've been we've been humming
02:01:26 for a while now.
02:01:27 Yeah, like I thought I feel like I love coming to work every
02:01:29 day.
02:01:29 Like there's I love doing the show if we're a stock market.
02:01:32 There's been times when he's like, oh, okay.
02:01:34 Yeah dips a little bit.
02:01:34 I feel like we've been rising for a while and do putting out
02:01:37 great shows.
02:01:38 So I don't know and Hank, I want you to know you're appreciated
02:01:41 and but also I appreciate the comment section.
02:01:44 Of course.
02:01:46 I just love I love every single internet comment out there
02:01:48 the like God bless you guys.
02:01:50 I also I think that like we as human beings just weren't ready
02:01:55 for the internet as it exists today.
02:01:57 Like having people who are passionate about the show comment
02:02:01 on every single like minutia and try to look into every little
02:02:04 like what do you mean by that?
02:02:05 What do these guys not we weren't built for that type of
02:02:09 feedback.
02:02:10 So you got to just kind of ignore it.
02:02:11 Yeah, like no human beings brain can handle that amount of
02:02:15 feedback constantly coming at you.
02:02:17 I've said that for years that the weird part about when the
02:02:19 show took off and got big is that the human brain it was not
02:02:24 evolved for millions of people to have an opinion about you.
02:02:27 Yeah, that's just not something that anyone has ever had to
02:02:29 deal with until the last like maybe three four hundred years
02:02:33 on Earth.
02:02:34 So yeah, don't like it.
02:02:36 Don't let get you down Hank.
02:02:37 No, I'm not gonna get me down.
02:02:38 I just you know, I got it.
02:02:39 I got a I don't know pick it up somehow.
02:02:40 I love you like a brother.
02:02:41 Bye back in your dunk on those comments.
02:02:43 Family you guys are.
02:02:44 I mean, we're gonna get to a point Hank.
02:02:47 Where how old are you 30 30?
02:02:50 So we still got a few years to go but like there will be a
02:02:55 point in the next six seven years.
02:02:57 It's like I've known you for half your life.
02:02:59 I said that the other day to someone and they kind of laughed
02:03:01 at me, but I do believe it like 10 to you don't remember 0 to
02:03:06 10 or is your and your and your and your no control like you
02:03:09 don't have any thoughts of your own.
02:03:10 You're not doing what you want to do 10 to 20, you know, you
02:03:13 have what you like you have your friends you kind of make
02:03:15 decisions and obviously like you're still not in full control,
02:03:18 but you're in more control of your life and interest and then
02:03:21 so I have that and then 20 to 30.
02:03:23 It's just been, you know with you and bar.
02:03:24 Yeah, it feels like half my life.
02:03:26 Yeah, right.
02:03:27 And so that's why also when people try to you know, not
02:03:32 mentally get where they try to what's the word I'm looking
02:03:36 for BFD help me manipulate.
02:03:37 No, no, no, they try to leave tricky.
02:03:39 What are you know, they try to think of what you're thinking
02:03:42 pinpoint. That's what I'm trying to do right now.
02:03:43 No, fuck god damn.
02:03:45 It's tell it teleport.
02:03:48 I don't know what word you're looking for.
02:03:50 No, it's bad.
02:03:51 So you're trying to think of a word.
02:03:53 I'm trying to think of that.
02:03:54 Illuminate tries to to be like this is what this person is
02:03:58 thinking without knowing them.
02:04:00 Fuck placate.
02:04:03 No, no Inception.
02:04:05 No, god damn it.
02:04:06 This is going to be bad.
02:04:07 I'm not even going to try to put yourself in somebody else's
02:04:09 shoes. Yeah, but not really.
02:04:11 You're trying to oh man.
02:04:12 This is bad.
02:04:13 I don't even know how you look that up.
02:04:14 Yeah, I don't know either.
02:04:15 This is bad.
02:04:16 Someone help me.
02:04:16 Someone get me.
02:04:17 Give me a lifeline line.
02:04:19 Yeah, it's Uzbekistan.
02:04:20 Uzbekistan.
02:04:21 God definition again.
02:04:24 Like when when I went if I'm watching someone else's podcast,
02:04:28 I'm like, oh this person feels this way, but we don't have
02:04:31 any idea how they actually feel.
02:04:33 We're trying to basically put like thoughts into their head.
02:04:36 Yeah, empathy.
02:04:38 No, I didn't.
02:04:40 When you think you know how someone feels, empathy is the
02:04:43 first thing that came.
02:04:43 But you're projecting your own thoughts into their head.
02:04:46 Oh, yeah, whatever.
02:04:47 Either way.
02:04:47 The point is someone will tell me what what is rattling around
02:04:52 in the little piece of brain that I have that works.
02:04:55 Anyway, allocate.
02:04:57 People are going to try to be like the Hanks feeling this
02:05:01 way from a little moment that they watch when they don't
02:05:05 realize that we have a ton of moments that they're not watching
02:05:10 that we are working together friends doing all these things
02:05:15 constantly communicating.
02:05:17 So and I'm not saying the person's wrong because that's all
02:05:20 they get but if they saw the full picture, they would never
02:05:23 think what they're thinking as that Hank doesn't want to do
02:05:26 the show.
02:05:26 Yeah, that's that was a the least eloquent way I could ever
02:05:30 put something.
02:05:31 It makes sense though.
02:05:32 Yeah, but now I'm trying to think of that word too.
02:05:34 I basically just did like four fullback dives to get a first
02:05:38 down were just ugly as fuck just running it right up the middle
02:05:43 and we got there.
02:05:44 I think we moved the chains word about what somebody is
02:05:47 anticipating.
02:05:48 I it's there's it's it's something specific.
02:05:52 Someone's going to tell me in their bike.
02:05:54 I'm going to feel like the dumbest person ever.
02:05:55 Yeah, she's not.
02:05:57 I mean, I had a moment earlier this week where I thought out
02:06:02 loud.
02:06:03 I thought out loud that we the floors weren't invented till
02:06:06 1850 floors floors.
02:06:08 What do you mean like hardwood floors?
02:06:10 That's that's it.
02:06:11 That's there's nothing more to say about that.
02:06:13 Is it anticipate what somebody else is saying a project oral
02:06:18 sensory seeking?
02:06:19 I think you got to move on your projecting.
02:06:23 Yeah, maybe project rejecting what you're thinking.
02:06:25 Yeah, maybe projecting.
02:06:26 I don't know.
02:06:26 Are your fire fest?
02:06:28 BF.
02:06:28 Yeah, we love you Hank.
02:06:29 My love you Hank.
02:06:30 My fire.
02:06:30 Fess.
02:06:31 Hi, love you guys.
02:06:32 Thanks Hank.
02:06:33 I fucking love you.
02:06:34 I love you too.
02:06:35 I'd fucking die for you.
02:06:36 I die for you too.
02:06:37 Maybe I wouldn't die for you.
02:06:39 I don't know if I die for you.
02:06:40 I would take I would take like a bullet to the arm for you
02:06:45 someone else wanted to die for you guys instead of me.
02:06:47 I'd be down to let them facility.
02:06:49 But if it was yeah, yeah, yeah, I'd die for you.
02:06:52 Hey, I'd die for all of you guys.
02:06:53 Thanks.
02:06:54 Really?
02:06:54 Yep.
02:06:55 Fuck.
02:06:56 I you know what?
02:06:57 I'd fucking die for you guys.
02:06:58 I just died for Hank.
02:06:59 Oh not us man.
02:07:00 Yeah.
02:07:00 Okay, memes.
02:07:01 Who would you die for?
02:07:02 I'd kill for you guys.
02:07:04 Oh respect.
02:07:06 That's what I'm talking about me.
02:07:08 It's my dog.
02:07:08 Yeah.
02:07:09 All right.
02:07:10 So we got a couple people Darren Revelle.
02:07:12 Who else we got?
02:07:15 Well, I was going to say OJ but nature took care of that.
02:07:17 Yeah, maybe it was memes.
02:07:18 Yeah.
02:07:19 Thanks memes.
02:07:19 Thank you memes hat tip memes.
02:07:21 All right, your fire fest BFT.
02:07:23 My fire fest is again Blake related because I just found
02:07:27 out yesterday.
02:07:28 We've he's had his shoulder problems, right?
02:07:29 And I'm like what's going on with this dog?
02:07:31 He can't walk.
02:07:32 He's limping around.
02:07:34 We gave him rest.
02:07:35 He's just been chilling still limping around took him in
02:07:38 yesterday for a CT scan cat scan which is ironic because he's
02:07:41 a dog but they scanned him and his shoulders fine, but both
02:07:46 of his elbows are messed up.
02:07:48 So he's getting double elbow surgery.
02:07:50 What next Thursday Tommy John.
02:07:52 He's getting double Tommy John.
02:07:54 Holy shit next Thursday.
02:07:55 So Austin's got a right of Jeff passing these through like
02:07:57 is it overuse is it the uniforms?
02:07:59 What is it?
02:08:00 Was he not trained as a young dog to play other sports besides
02:08:03 jumping?
02:08:04 So what is double elbow surgery look so I thought about that.
02:08:07 I was like is he going to have like casts on each arm where
02:08:10 he's going to be inside his cat in a front wheelchair.
02:08:12 Yeah, so apparently it's like it's scope.
02:08:15 So they say he's going to walk out of the hospital that day
02:08:17 but they clean something up but then it's just yeah, it's
02:08:20 a cleanup sir.
02:08:20 Like Mark Pryor had seven of those turned out fine.
02:08:23 Yeah, so Blake is going to be on not necessarily bed rest,
02:08:27 but just like walking around rest no running rest for almost
02:08:30 the whole summer, but then he should be good after that.
02:08:32 But yeah, he's going to come home from the hospital with
02:08:35 two big like soft casts on each arm double elbow surgery is
02:08:39 a crazy thing to go under there's some somebody in a TV show.
02:08:42 I feel like broke both their arms.
02:08:44 Are you thinking of Ricky Bobby?
02:08:45 Yeah, Ricky Bobby.
02:08:46 Yeah.
02:08:46 Yeah, that was both his legs legs.
02:08:49 Yeah, and they weren't actually broken.
02:08:50 Yeah, but that's dogs arms are kind of legs to yeah, it's
02:08:54 like the old where would dog wear pants?
02:08:55 Yeah.
02:08:56 Yeah, I would assume that it would be around the neck right
02:08:59 because they're all they're all legs.
02:09:02 Yeah, they're all legs all four legs.
02:09:03 They have four legs.
02:09:04 They don't have that's good.
02:09:05 That's good that you're not doing this surgery before your
02:09:07 Kentucky Derby party.
02:09:07 That would have sucked for Blake.
02:09:08 It's really good.
02:09:09 Yeah, Blake's going.
02:09:10 This is last hurrah.
02:09:11 Yeah, he's going to jam out.
02:09:12 It's his bachelor party.
02:09:13 Yeah.
02:09:13 So anything that you need your dog to do two legs.
02:09:15 Let me know what I should do with Blake in his last week
02:09:18 on his original legs.
02:09:19 It's crazy double double elbow surgery at the same time, which
02:09:22 is good because if it was one elbow and then another elbow
02:09:26 like six months later, yeah, he'd be like fuck this.
02:09:29 I don't want to go through the rehab again.
02:09:30 I already know this.
02:09:31 I'm not doing it.
02:09:32 That's the other thing.
02:09:32 I got to take him.
02:09:33 I got to put him on like underwater treadmills and get him
02:09:35 rehab at rock.
02:09:36 So yeah, he's gonna have you got a blast.
02:09:38 You got to get a GoPro to get video of it.
02:09:39 Yeah, I should.
02:09:40 Yeah.
02:09:40 All right.
02:09:41 My fire fest is I've talked to Hank and PFT about this and
02:09:45 it's not a fire fest.
02:09:47 It's a I have a funny content idea.
02:09:51 That's not funny at all fire fest.
02:09:53 My daughter's class has lice lice outbreak.
02:09:58 She does not we've checked every single day, but it's not
02:10:01 but it's crazy how fast the lice just goes around like a
02:10:04 preschool.
02:10:06 It was like boom boom.
02:10:08 Oh, it's in this classroom.
02:10:09 Oh, no, it's in this.
02:10:10 Oh, it's literally everywhere either way.
02:10:13 Don't have lice in my house.
02:10:14 Thank God knock on wood checked every day.
02:10:17 No lice, but when I was telling PFT and Hank it did dawn on
02:10:22 me that it would be very funny if we had a lice outbreak here
02:10:24 at Barstool Chicago.
02:10:25 So funny how I don't know.
02:10:28 I haven't that's why I have the idea.
02:10:31 I have the idea.
02:10:32 I don't know where how it gets to make money and have everyone
02:10:37 laugh, but the idea is get a lice outbreak in the office.
02:10:41 So I swear to God I forgot about this conversation that we
02:10:44 had a couple days ago.
02:10:45 It is it there's a there's a nugget of a good idea in there
02:10:48 somewhere.
02:10:48 Yeah, you're out of present.
02:10:49 I know Hank.
02:10:50 That's what you want to do, right?
02:10:51 That's that's why you wanted to leave part of my take for
02:10:53 good three years ago.
02:10:54 This is a this is a race.
02:10:56 This is we got to talk out the idea idea as head of content.
02:11:00 You have to figure us how you have to help us figure out how
02:11:02 to turn this little nugget into a great package presentation
02:11:06 that's fully sponsored.
02:11:07 Just think of that thumbnail that thumbnail.
02:11:09 Yeah, we all got lice.
02:11:10 Like lice invades Barstool Sports is so funny with like
02:11:15 the niggas smokes air and like a scared face.
02:11:18 You know what happens if you get bad lice what actually
02:11:20 shampoo if there's a shampoo for it.
02:11:22 But like worst case scenario say you didn't know you had
02:11:24 lice. No, you know untreated lice, you know because you
02:11:27 scratch.
02:11:28 It's a cat what I was going to say is I completely forgot
02:11:30 about this conversation with you.
02:11:32 I woke up this morning swear to God my head was super itchy.
02:11:37 Oh and I spent all morning just scratching my head took a
02:11:40 shower shampoo didn't didn't look for any lice or anything.
02:11:43 But now I'm worried because I had an abnormally itchy head
02:11:46 this morning.
02:11:47 You might have lice.
02:11:48 Do you want to look?
02:11:49 No, I don't.
02:11:50 Yeah.
02:11:50 Yeah.
02:11:50 All right, go you look you look no you look I said you look
02:11:54 you need like a magnifying glass.
02:11:56 I said, let's figure it out.
02:11:59 I swear to God my head was super itchy this morning.
02:12:01 I'm not joking.
02:12:03 All right, big cats looking through the matching hoodies.
02:12:09 This is nice.
02:12:09 Visually, we're like couple monkeys picking bugs off each
02:12:12 other.
02:12:12 No, I am I clean.
02:12:15 Oh, you have dandruff.
02:12:15 I've dandruff.
02:12:17 Yeah, you need the same color.
02:12:18 Yeah.
02:12:18 No, you have dandruff.
02:12:19 You need dandruff.
02:12:20 You need the dandruff shampoo.
02:12:21 I have dandruff.
02:12:22 I use dandruff shampoo.
02:12:23 I've never had dandruff.
02:12:24 Yeah.
02:12:24 Yeah, you just have dandruff.
02:12:26 You just have some dry skin.
02:12:27 I've got Erica.
02:12:28 Yeah, it was perfectly fine.
02:12:31 Normal.
02:12:31 Yeah, just use some use some sell some blue.
02:12:36 Well, that's a that's a load off my back because for about
02:12:39 30 seconds there.
02:12:40 I thought no.
02:12:40 Yeah, you don't I was putting the pieces together.
02:12:42 I didn't see any bugs.
02:12:42 It's just some dandruff.
02:12:43 So yeah back to the lice.
02:12:46 How do we do it?
02:12:46 I think maybe we need to get a sandbox and make everyone bring
02:12:52 backpacks every day because that's lice go they can survive
02:12:55 in sand.
02:12:56 That's how it happens a lot with like, you know, kindergarten
02:12:59 and all that stuff.
02:13:00 Yeah, so maybe that's what we do and then I'll get the lice
02:13:03 in a jar.
02:13:04 No, I'll put them in my head your head and then I'll be patient
02:13:08 zero and I'll just pass it around and we'll be like, yeah,
02:13:12 think about the thumb.
02:13:13 I happen when Cove it happens kind of like a maybe like a
02:13:16 Mr.
02:13:16 Beast type video like that person to knock at lice wins.
02:13:19 Right test.
02:13:20 Yeah.
02:13:20 Yeah, lice survivor.
02:13:22 I wonder if we could die the lice so we could see him like
02:13:24 more clearly Dayglo.
02:13:27 Yeah, we just replace all the lights with UV lights someone
02:13:31 figure out how to get from office gets lice to make money
02:13:35 funny.
02:13:36 Yeah, let us know sound off in the comments.
02:13:40 What Max you got Max has something.
02:13:43 No, this is just so random that I don't you brought up UV
02:13:46 lights.
02:13:47 Did you see that?
02:13:47 There's a college baseball team.
02:13:48 That's just doing a complete UV baseball you baseball game.
02:13:52 With a black light.
02:13:53 No glow in the glow in the dark uniforms and balls Savannah
02:13:57 bananas.
02:13:58 No, I'll say it black lights suck.
02:14:01 Yeah.
02:14:01 Okay, because I don't come in my pants, but I always when I
02:14:05 see a black light.
02:14:05 I'm like did I come in my pants?
02:14:07 Oh, yeah, and like a hotel room.
02:14:09 Yeah, no or like a bowling alley.
02:14:10 I just go to a bowl a black light bowling alley.
02:14:12 You're like, I don't I don't remember ever coming in my
02:14:15 pants, but who put this come on my pants.
02:14:18 I think from time to time black lights are black lights matter
02:14:21 to me.
02:14:22 It's matter.
02:14:22 Oh, this is actually awesome.
02:14:23 Yeah, it is that it that does look cool.
02:14:25 This is very cool.
02:14:25 But do you guys not have the same fear whenever you go to
02:14:28 like a black light bowling alley, you know, you know that
02:14:31 there's not a problem.
02:14:33 We're spill guy.
02:14:34 There could be a problem.
02:14:35 Yeah, this is very cool.
02:14:37 We should do a black light part of my take.
02:14:39 Yeah, there's probably come in this studio.
02:14:42 Or something you think anyone's fucked in the studio.
02:14:45 No, I have not.
02:14:47 I have not hug.
02:14:49 I have not.
02:14:49 I have not.
02:14:50 I have not hug it pug is not here to answer memes.
02:14:54 Oh a lot of people been in this office memes memes definitely
02:14:59 has okay Jake finishes off.
02:15:02 Yeah on a similar note.
02:15:03 I've also ice.
02:15:04 Yeah, I've been itchy this week, but it's because I got
02:15:07 freaking destroyed by mosquitoes.
02:15:09 I was in Florida.
02:15:10 Yeah, Ross.
02:15:11 You don't get the marks to show it.
02:15:12 No, it was really bad.
02:15:14 No bugs for a after the first day.
02:15:17 Learn your lesson late.
02:15:18 Jigger you one of those guys is like bugs for some reason
02:15:21 like me more than ever.
02:15:22 Yes, my blood.
02:15:23 Everyone's like you have sweet blood.
02:15:25 Yeah, remember that time we went to oh, sorry disc golf.
02:15:28 I know that no Frisbee golf.
02:15:30 Fuck that.
02:15:30 We say whatever we want.
02:15:31 Remember we went on Long Island and we got billion do a
02:15:33 vegetarian.
02:15:34 Yeah, Billy got alpha gal.
02:15:36 Yeah, it was so bad.
02:15:37 Yeah, similar to that bugs.
02:15:39 Yeah, the the that sucks.
02:15:43 He missed the first day.
02:15:44 Like the first day with the bug spray because I'll be back
02:15:47 next week and I'll be prepared.
02:15:49 I like a good bug bite.
02:15:50 How many did you did you kill Jake?
02:15:51 What was that Max?
02:15:53 That's just a horrible.
02:15:55 Yeah bug bites are the worst.
02:15:56 Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
02:15:57 I agree.
02:15:58 I don't like a lot of bug bites.
02:15:59 No, you don't want any but one or two good bug bites and
02:16:03 you can itch it.
02:16:04 I kind of like yeah, but then you it starts bleeding and
02:16:07 the scabs and the scars come.
02:16:09 I'd rather have three bug bites than one where I'm if you
02:16:11 have one then that's all you're thinking about like well,
02:16:13 if you have on each arm, if you have one you just assume
02:16:15 it was a spider that bit you in the spider bite.
02:16:17 Yeah, I'd like a good bug bite.
02:16:19 Just a good just a good old-fashioned bug bite like maybe
02:16:22 on the top of your shin nice little spot.
02:16:26 You can scratch it a little.
02:16:27 Am I feel like no one no one's no one's with me.
02:16:31 I feel like you might be in an island with no bites and
02:16:34 lice and be like what was I think that but no one's with
02:16:36 me.
02:16:36 All right.
02:16:36 No, you might be on that might be a little like S&M thing
02:16:39 where it's like a little bit of pain feels good.
02:16:41 Just one sometimes feeling bad feels like watching great
02:16:43 in a place like this.
02:16:44 Yeah.
02:16:45 No, I just like what blood you have one good bug bite.
02:16:47 I don't want a lot anything more than a couple and you're
02:16:50 just like this fucking sucks.
02:16:51 I can't believe I forgot to put on bug spray with Jake's
02:16:53 going through right now, but a single bug bite on the top
02:16:56 of your shin.
02:16:57 It's a little itch not so bad.
02:16:59 I'll give you some of my blood and maybe they'll come find
02:17:01 you blood transfusion.
02:17:03 Get some of that young blood.
02:17:04 Yeah.
02:17:04 Yeah, we should do it.
02:17:06 We should feel black light blood transfusion with lice
02:17:08 and then we should make all our younger employees get their
02:17:11 blood to us.
02:17:11 This is this feels like an X the firefest today has just
02:17:14 been an extended brainstorming session.
02:17:16 Yeah, it's been good to go.
02:17:17 Okay, lice thing.
02:17:19 I do think that we can work with I yes.
02:17:21 Thank you.
02:17:22 I because I remember when I initially said you're like that's
02:17:24 a bad idea.
02:17:24 I'm happy that you've seen the I think you get two teams
02:17:27 and then see which one can get fully covered in lice for
02:17:29 a game of tag with lice lice cross.
02:17:32 Yeah.
02:17:32 Yeah.
02:17:32 Lice are so grown.
02:17:34 Remember when clay Travis just willing he said his kids
02:17:37 had lice.
02:17:37 Oh, yeah, because he was mad at the airline.
02:17:39 Yeah for not letting him fly.
02:17:40 I'm with the airline.
