00:00 I think fundamentally before anything else starts, the most important thing of being a councillor to me is listening to people's voices.
00:06 It's about ensuring that people feel really heard, like genuinely heard,
00:10 and that I as somebody who shares part of my life in this community can articulate their voices to make sure that we move forward positively.
00:21 I think people are really tired of the stagnation that we've seen and the lack of services that people are really screaming out about on doorsteps.
00:31 It's something that seems to be across the board, whatever colour you are, and that's something we all need to unify.
00:37 So I'm really happy to be working with West Devon Alliance and moving forward.
00:43 I think time for the Tories are over and it's time to make progressive change and listen to people.
00:49 And that's what I'm going to be doing first, listening.
00:52 And you have a background in activism. How do you see that helping?
