00:00 I'll go to the back and then we'll come back up.
00:02 Um, to follow up on the on some of the comments on anti-Semitism, House Republicans yesterday
00:09 announced they're going to be expanding their investigations on campus anti-Semitism.
00:13 Obviously, there's the vote today.
00:15 If Democrats were in the majority, what steps would you all be taking in response to what's
00:21 been happening on campuses?
00:22 It's a great question.
00:24 The Biden administration put forth a comprehensive report and series of recommendations in May
00:32 of 2023 designed to aggressively combat the rise of anti-Semitism in the United States
00:39 of America.
00:39 Representative Kathy Manning has introduced bipartisan legislation that is designed to
00:47 bring many of those recommendations to life in order to get to a better place in the United
00:56 States of America.
00:57 And it is my hope that Representative Manning's legislation will receive an up or down vote
01:05 in the next few weeks before we leave town in advance of Memorial Day.
01:13 It's bipartisan legislation. Kathy Manning's legislation has the support of the Anti-Defamation
01:21 League.
01:21 It has the support of AJC.
01:25 It has the support of a variety of different Jewish organizations.
01:29 And no one has been more of a leader throughout her professional career in dealing with these
01:36 challenges than Representative Manning.
01:39 And so I'd like to see her legislation brought to the floor.
