00:26 the rain and thunderstorms in Metro Manila poured down on the first day of May, or Agua de Mayo.

00:34 The question is, is it still El Niño or La Niña?

00:38 In June, we expect to have a transition because El Niño is now a weekend.

00:45 That means in the next months, we can transition from El Niño to neutral and then eventually to La Niña.

00:55 La Niña will enter the second half of this year, for example, July or August.

01:00 Even though it is expected that the hot weather will last until the end of May,

01:06 it is also possible that there will be a low-pressure area or one to two typhoons will enter the Philippine area of responsibility this month.

01:14 The rain and possibly a delay in the day is not yet starting.

01:19 Usually, it starts in the second half of May or the first half of June.

01:24 But we may have a 50% chance that it will start after June.

01:34 When July or August comes, it is possible that La Niña will enter.

01:40 If there is La Niña, the temperature of the water above the Central and Eastern Equatorial Pacific will be lower.

01:47 According to the forecast, the rain will bring more water and more typhoons will hit the land.

01:54 But the impact of La Niña is that we may experience more chances of rain towards the end of the year.
