Dementia Friendly Chesterfield are hosting a Memory Market Place event at Chesterfield football ground

00:00So my name is Wendy Blunt, I work for Chesterfield Borough Council and I'm part of the Dementia-Friendly Chesterfield group

00:06and we've come together today to put on this event for people living with dementia,

00:12for their carers and friends and for health professionals.

00:16We just thought it'd be really good to get lots of organisations in one room that can support people

00:22at this moment. So that's the aim of today's event and as you can see we've had lots and lots of people attending.

00:28I think up to yet we've had 150 attendees which is really good.

00:32It's really nice to see we've got students from Chesterfield College

00:36who are health and social care students and they're coming to find out more about living with dementia too.
