00:00We all grew up with folks who sort of looked down on us because of what our dads did.
00:07They weren't in business.
00:08They weren't executives.
00:10They weren't something special.
00:12But they are special.
00:13You know, but people like Donald Trump learned a different lesson.
00:17He learned the best way to get rich is inherited.
00:22He learned that paying taxes is something working people did, not him.
00:27He learned that telling people you're fired was something to laugh about.
00:32Not in my household.
00:33Not in my neighborhood.
00:34I mean it, sincerely.
00:35No joke.
00:36Especially being fired because you had no protection.
00:46Folks, I guess that's how you look at the world from Mar-a-Lago, where Trump and his
00:53rich friends embraced the same failed trickle-down policies that have failed working-class families
00:58and union families for over 40 years.
01:01But if you grew up where we grew up, nobody handed you anything.
01:06Being told you were fired wasn't entertainment.
01:09It was devastating.
01:10It was a nightmare.
01:12And folks, we all know people like Trump who look down on us.
01:17Don't we?
01:18We all know somebody we grew up with like that.
01:20Well, folks, where I come from, it matters.
01:22When I look at the economy, I don't see it through the eyes of Mar-a-Lago.
01:26I see it through the eyes of Scranton and working people like all of you and my family.
01:31You know, we know the best way to grow an economy is from the bottom up and the middle
01:35out, not the top down.
01:37My dad used to say, not a whole hell of a lot trickled down on his kitchen table in
01:41that top-down policy.
01:43When we do that, when we work from the bottom up and the middle out, the poor have a ladder
01:48up and the middle class does well.
01:49And by the way, the wealthy still do very well if they just start paying the damn taxes.
