00:00 It's the third day of pro-Palestinian protests at Sciences Po, this time a full shutdown.
00:12 The entrance blockaded by bins with several dozen students on the inside and dozens more
00:17 on the outside in support of the sit-in.
00:19 "We're blockading Sciences Po because we oppose the university's complicity in the
00:25 genocide."
00:26 "When a genocide is happening, we as students in international relations and political sciences,
00:30 we cannot stay silent."
00:32 The students want to see a clear condemnation of Israel's actions in Gaza, as well as an
00:36 investigation into the university's collaboration with any entities or institutions complicit
00:42 in what they call the systemic oppression of the Palestinian people.
00:46 Protesters say their calls for a town hall-style dialogue with the university have fallen on
00:49 deaf ears and that management favoured repressive methods.
00:53 This after a peaceful occupation of one of the university's buildings on Wednesday night
00:58 was broken up by the CRS riot police.
01:01 Students of Sciences Po received a message of support from the France-unbowed party leader
01:05 Jean-Luc Mélenchon and were joined by elected officials from his party.
01:09 Meanwhile, the Council of Jewish Institutions in France has condemned what they call a dangerous
01:15 movement.
