00:00Hello, I'm Councilman Mark Holbrook. We're here today at the Waste Transfer Station in Kirk's Handle to show you what goes where when it comes to waste and recycling.
00:10Our blue bin collection service takes place all year round once a fortnight. This is for your recycled materials and will be collected on the alternative week to your black bin.
00:20We only accept paper and cardboard, tins and cans, foil, empty aerosols, plastic bottles and bottle lids.
00:30Please don't put in plastic food trays, yoghurt pots and plastic bags. These are difficult to separate and send for recycling and should go in your black bin.
00:40Please ensure you present your blue bins before 7am on the day of collection. Take in the bins once they are empty. Please head to the website or look at the calendar for dates of collection.
