00:00 Looking across the season, obviously Sean Dyche at times has come under a bit of unfair
00:06 flak, maybe you could say he's had pressure on him at times, but considering the points
00:12 deductions and where they are, following those as well, he's done a fantastic job really,
00:18 backs against the wall, everything sort of against them. What do you make about Sean
00:23 Dyche's job and how are Everton fans feeling about the man they have in charge there?
00:29 I think if you look at Sean Dyche's job that he's done, there's been progress and that's
00:34 all that Everton fans have wanted to be honest with you. I mean the past two seasons, the
00:39 battles, relegation, and Everton as we speak are on 41 points, they should be clear of
00:45 relegation. There's only been two points behind walls in the table if they haven't been hit
00:53 with a deduction of eight points. We all know that Gary O'Neill has rave reviews this season
00:59 and look at Sean Dyche. I mean, okay, Everton, they have got a decent squad, but they were
01:07 in Delta Canada and they had to sell Alex Owobi in the summer, they had to sell Damari
01:10 Gray, he said that at his pre-Brentford press conference, there were players that he didn't
01:14 particularly want to sell but he had to to balance the books. It was all about making
01:19 steps really and Sean Dyche has looked at this pragmatically and there have been some
01:24 low moments of course, the 6-0 thrashing against Chelsea was the nitty here really and a lot
01:31 of fans were questioning Sean Dyche's future, whether he was the man to take Everton forward.
01:38 But they've responded by beating Nottingham Forest and a magnificent performance in the
01:43 2-0 win over Liverpool in the Merseyside derby. Look, it's been difficult for Sean Dyche,
01:48 he's had things thrown at him, points at substitutions, eight points, had to sell players, couldn't
01:53 get anyone in in January because of the finances and that was difficult for Everton. They're
01:59 time where they quite clearly needed maybe an additional winger in because Dwight McNeil
02:05 and Jeff Harrison were both playing a lot of games and they were struggling there but
02:09 they couldn't get anyone through at all because of the finances. He's taken everything on
02:14 the chin, he's not made any excuses in terms of the situation, he's not bemoaned a lack
02:19 of finances, a lack of players, he's gone home with the job and it's the start of the
02:26 season, the success for Everton will be going into the last few games as Debrew has nothing
02:31 on the line. Okay, Everton will want to finish, timetable with the financial problems, an
02:38 extra place is too many pounds, they'll want to finish as high as possible, if they can
02:42 finish 14th, it's best if they finish 16th and get £4 million more which is a lot for
02:47 Everton in the current circumstance. So as I say, he's had a lot thrown at him, the ownership,
02:54 takeover situation etc, that's bat off a lot of questions, his press conference, I think
03:01 they have to take their hats off to him and he'll be looking at this thinking it's another
03:06 step but Everton can still go further and I'd be interested to see what he can do in
03:11 the summer, what sort of finance he has, what players he might be able to bring in, what
03:16 players he might have to leave to balance the books because Everton lost £90 million
03:22 when the finances came out, so will they have to sell to you out of grant fees, will they
03:25 have to sell out of Zoom, it'll be interesting but I think overall he's done a really, really
03:31 good job and he has to have plenty of credit for that.
