00:05 my first clemency meeting, that really inspired me to take a journey

00:10 of really helping to figure out how I can be helpful

00:15 and how I can tell the amazing stories that I would hear

00:19 from the success stories from individuals like yourself.

00:24 And I didn't know a whole lot, and I was inspired to go to law school

00:30 and really further my education to see what I can do to help

00:36 and not rely on these two women behind me, who have been helping me everywhere,

00:41 my attorneys, to kind of translate everything for me,

00:45 because I really couldn't grasp what all of this means.

00:49 And I know you guys live this, that this has been your life,

00:53 and I'm sure you understand the system and the paperwork and everything

00:57 so much better than so many people.

01:00 And I am super honored to be here to hear your stories today,

01:08 and I think it's so important to share them and amplify them,

01:12 because there's so many people that are in your position

01:16 that can use the inspiration.
