00:00 Hi! Thank you so much for coming tonight.
00:02 Thank you so much for having me. Are you kidding?
00:04 Your double SNL booking was just announced.
00:08 Yes.
00:09 How are you feeling about that?
00:10 I'm so excited. I'm really, really looking forward to it.
00:12 I'm just going to throw myself into what could quite possibly be the maddest experience of my life
00:17 and just have fun with it.
00:18 Have you turned to anyone for any advice? Any comedians?
00:21 Not yet, not yet. But I did, I hung out with Bowen Yang for a bit
00:24 so I was like picking his brain a little before I get into all the madness.
00:29 And what does radical optimism mean to you?
00:32 To me it's about resilience, it's about rolling with the punches,
00:36 it's, you know, when things aren't necessarily going your way,
00:39 it's about making peace with the fact that that's okay, you know.
00:43 When you're outside of your comfort zone, that's where you do most of your emotional growing
00:46 and so you have to be uncomfortable a little bit before things get good.
00:50 And Service 95 has been, I think now, over two years.
00:53 What have you learned by being in the world of media?
00:57 Well, I've learned so much. It's just kept me so curious.
01:00 It's been wonderful to be able to commission stories from all over the world
01:04 and hear stories and who gets to tell them as well,
01:07 so we don't just hear stories from a Western lens.
01:10 And that's been really eye-opening and wonderful.
01:13 And last question, I know you have your book club.
01:15 When you're travelling, do you prefer physical or e-reader?
01:18 Physical, physical for me always. Like my bag's always so heavy with books.
01:23 Thank you so much.
01:24 Thank you.
