LeBron James Shows Support For Ionescu, WNBA

00:05 his support once again for women's basketball this time with the WNBA draft.

00:10 He tweeted to Sabrina Ionescu and offered his support and congratulations

00:15 for her being the number one overall pick and then also said welcome to the

00:18 Swoosh family, the two obviously now together as teammates in the Nike family.

00:23 He also said that he was watching the WNBA draft on Twitter and congratulated

00:27 the 2020 class. Now if you remember not long after Kobe Bryant had passed away

00:32 the first Lakers game LeBron took the microphone and said that he and his

00:36 teammates were going to honor and continue Kobe Bryant's legacy. Well one

00:40 of those ways is through supporting women's basketball. Kobe was doing it

00:44 with Gianna his daughter who also tragically passed away in that

00:47 helicopter crash. He was her basketball coach at the Mamba Academy and also he

00:53 had done a WNBA camp and really befriended Ionescu and other

00:57 professional players. So good to see LeBron also carrying on Kobe Bryant's

01:02 legacy and supporting the women's game.
