00:04And Melissa, Vanessa Bryant has been very active on social media, especially for her
00:09daughter Gianna Bryant, who was named an honorary WNBA draft pick.
00:15What do you think that means to her?
00:17It means everything to her.
00:18That was Gianna's biggest goal and biggest dream.
00:21She wanted to play in the WNBA, and she told her father that she was interested in basketball.
00:26He took that responsibility very seriously.
00:29He actually reached out to Gino Ariema, asked him for coaching tips.
00:33He reached out to Michael Jordan, asked him what moves he was working on when he was 12
00:37years old.
00:38So this was something that really bonded Kobe and Gianna.
00:41And after Gianna and Kobe tragically died in a helicopter crash on January 26, this
00:47was a way for the WNBA to celebrate her legacy, to continue her legacy.
00:53And it's something that obviously very deeply touched Vanessa.
00:56She's taken to Instagram a couple of times to post very heartfelt messages about how
01:01much she loves her daughter and how sad she is that her daughter isn't going to be there
01:07to actually play in the WNBA.
01:09Her legacy will certainly last forever.
