00:00I'm Jill Painter-Lopez with Sports Illustrated, here with our very own Melissa Rowland, and
00:08such a special day today.
00:10It was four years ago today that Kobe Bryant scored 60 points in his final game, and that
00:16will be re-aired on NBA TV tonight.
00:18Melissa, what do you think people will think about and experience as they watch that again?
00:25It's hard to believe that that was four years ago.
00:27It feels like yesterday.
00:29Everybody remembers where they were when Kobe scored 60 points in his final game before
00:34he retired.
00:35It was just a really incredible moment that capped off an illustrious career that included
00:39five NBA championships, two finals MVPs, and one regular season MVP in 2008.
00:45It's funny because throughout his entire career, people told him that he needed to pass more,
00:50that he was a ball hog.
00:51Well, not in that game.
00:52In that game, his teammates told him, shoot as much as you want, and he actually shot
00:56the ball 50 times.
00:58And in the fourth quarter, he took over in typical Kobe fashion.
01:02He scored 15 straight points for the Lakers, leading them to the win.
01:06It was just an incredible moment in what had been just a spectacular career, one of the
01:10all-time great careers.
