00:00I'm Melissa Rowland with Sports Illustrated, and we're here with Jill Painter-Lopez.
00:08Now, Jill, the final episode of LeBron James' documentary series about his I Promise School
00:13recently aired.
00:14Tell us about what happened, and what were your general impressions of the series as
00:19a whole?
00:20Well, Melissa, it was a fascinating series.
00:23I teared up at every episode.
00:24They were just little seven-minute snippets, and they were very emotional, and it was just
00:29really neat to see the growth of all these kids, both as people, students, and, of course,
00:36just their growth with their classmates and in their home, all the progress they've made.
00:40One of the kids asked LeBron in the final episode, why did you start this school?
00:45And he said, hey, because I was you.
00:47And we just saw that, obviously, the kids are at home on their computers, and LeBron
00:52retweeted Principal Davis, sending out a video message to everybody saying, hey, let's make
00:57sure we get in our Googles with our teachers.
00:59Let's stay on track with our homework and our studies.
01:02And she said, let's be accountable.
01:03Let's talk to other kids and make sure they're doing it too.
01:05So it's neat to see that this just wasn't a docu-series.
01:08I mean, this is real life, and they're obviously continuing on and trying to inspire one another.
01:13And I want to know how all those kids are doing, Nate, Vince, and Dashauna.
01:18I hope they continue the series.
