00:00 I'm Melissa Rowland with Sports Illustrated and we're here with Jill Painter-Lopez.
00:06 Now Danny Green recently went on The Herd and he talked about how he saw LeBron James
00:12 when he was a rookie and then seeing him now at age 35 in his 17th season, he talked about
00:17 how he's matured and how things have changed.
00:19 What did he say?
00:20 Well, Melissa, they do have such a unique perspective.
00:24 They both won championships with two different teams.
00:26 They both started their careers as rookies on the Cleveland Cavaliers team, obviously
00:30 a much different experience for LeBron and Danny Green.
00:34 Danny was talking on The Herd with Colin Coward and he's like, "I didn't play much my rookie
00:38 year," but he certainly had a great bird's eye view of LeBron.
00:41 And he said back then he was obviously using his athleticism a lot.
00:45 He said he's still obviously a very athletic guy.
00:48 He said, but now he could pick and choose his spots.
00:50 He can pick his angles.
00:51 And he said he thinks he's such a smarter player now.
00:54 Obviously LeBron has won championships with two different teams with Miami and Cleveland,
00:59 trying to make it a third team with the Lakers this year.
01:01 Lakers atop the Western Conference and obviously doing very well with LeBron, AD, the veteran
01:07 Danny Green.
01:08 So it just kind of an interesting perspective from someone who saw it that first season
01:12 and who's seeing LeBron now at 35 trying to win a championship with a third organization.
01:17 It's incredible his longevity in this league.
01:21 It's like he just seems to get better.
01:23 It's like it must be the fine wine that he drinks or probably those two workouts a day
01:29 I think have something to do with it.
01:31 We need to get our hands on some of that wine.
