JaVale McGee Makes Most Of Bike Ride Gone Wrong In L.A.

00:00 I'm Melissa Roland with Sports Illustrated and we're here with Jill Painter Lopez.

00:07 Now Lakers center DeVaille McGee recently had a misadventure that he posted about.

00:12 Tell us a little bit about what happened.

00:14 Well Melissa, he went on a bike ride and we see the pictures of him sitting on a bench

00:18 with a tire pump and he said he got a flat tire on his bike.

00:22 So more interesting things coming out of the photo maybe than just the flat tire, which

00:26 of course we've all experienced flat tires on our cars, bikes or what have you, anything

00:31 on wheels.

00:32 But he was covered pretty much in head to toe, still pretty recognizable as a seven

00:37 footer on a bike I'm sure, but covered in head to toe and workout clothes, leggings,

00:42 jacket, you know of course wearing the mask outside as we should and a hat covering.

00:50 But I think he's still pretty recognizable.

00:53 And it was amazing how high the seat is on his bicycle.

00:58 But again as a seven footer you've got to have that seat really high.

01:01 So he had a little fun with the pictures and he even said it made for some good pictures.

01:06 So we hope he got home okay.

01:07 He's got some long legs.

01:09 I mean for a bicycle to fit him he must be suspended like 10 feet in the air.

01:13 I can't even imagine that.

01:15 That's got to be a custom made bike because I don't even know many bikes where the seat

01:18 would go up as high as this one.
