00:09And Melissa, another unfortunate and tragic incident that has sparked outrage nationally,
00:15including from LeBron James.
00:16What has happened?
00:17A 46-year-old black man by the name of George Floyd was recently held down in Minneapolis
00:23by a white officer who put his knee onto his neck, held him down for a prolonged period
00:28of time.
00:29He later died at a nearby hospital.
00:32And LeBron James, athletes, people around the nation have just been outraged, extremely
00:37upset.
00:38LeBron James posted on social media, he wrote, do you understand now?
00:44LeBron James recently weighed in on another killing of a young black man, a 25-year-old
00:49man by the name of Ahmaud Arbery, who was shot while jogging in his neighborhood.
00:54So LeBron James and other athletes are just saying enough is enough and weighing in on
01:00these horrible tragedies, trying to use their huge media platforms to influence change.
01:06And hopefully justice will certainly be served.
