Jeanie Buss Recalls Talk With Dad Jerry Buss About Possible Global Pandemic

00:00 I'm Jill Painter Lopez and Jeannie Buss made another sweet post about her father for Father's

00:06 Day, the late Dr. Jerry Buss, and she shared a picture of them both wearing their Lakers

00:11 jeans with Lakers on the back of their jeans pockets, which was very cute.

00:16 But she learned so much from her dad, so many words of wisdom, conversations that they had.

00:21 And one of the things she discussed in the post was that her dad had shared a conversation

00:26 with her that he had had about the late David Stern, the former NBA commissioner, and about

00:31 how he was talking about how a global pandemic could potentially affect the league.

00:37 She also was talking about how she and her dad had many conversations about equality,

00:43 especially racial equality, and she said it just breaks her heart some of the things that

00:47 are going on in this country today.

00:50 Obviously racism, police brutality, and things of that like, which she and the Lakers are

00:54 obviously doing their part to help combat that.

00:58 So again, a very, just a sweet message Jeannie had about her father.

01:02 She has many of them on her Instagram account, which is cool to kind of go over those memories

01:08 with her.

01:09 And again, the discussion of a possible global pandemic, excuse me, and of course, equality.
