Jared Dudley On Vic Fangio‘s Words: `... One Of The Most Ignorant Comments By A NFL Coach’

00:00I'm Jill Painter Lopez for Sports Illustrated and Jared Dudley is taking

00:05exception to something Denver Broncos coach Vic Fangio said as are many

00:09athletes and people. Now on Tuesday Vic Fangio told reporters he didn't see

00:14racism in the NFL and he didn't see discrimination in the NFL. Certainly a

00:19surprising statement coming from the head coach. Now of course a day later he

00:24apologized and expressed remorse. He said he had talked to players and he hopes to

00:29be part of the change and to be listening going forward. So that part was

00:35good but Jared Dudley did retweet that apology today. He said we saw this

00:40statement coming and he also said one of the most ignorant things he has ever

00:45heard from an NFL coach. I mean there have been very much publicized things in

00:49the NFL of discrimination. We see Colin Kaepernick taking a knee and the fallout

00:54from that. We have the Rooney rule which helps minority coaches get interviews

00:59for positions in the NFL. The Rooney rule wouldn't exist if it were not for a

01:04discrimination in terms of opportunity. So again Vic Fangio has certainly

01:08apologized for those comments but Jared Dudley again expressing his voice over

01:13those today.
