00:00I'm Jill Painter-Lopez for Sports Illustrated here with Melissa Rowland.
00:05And Melissa, the final two episodes of The Last Dance documentary have aired, and they
00:09were certainly interesting.
00:11What were your impressions of them?
00:13Well, there are a lot of fascinating things that came out of it.
00:16One of those things was the famous flu game, wasn't a flu game after all, it was actually
00:21Pizzagate.
00:22So I'm just waiting for the time when somebody on Twitter tracks down those delivery guys
00:27and finds out exactly what went wrong, woe to somebody, track that down.
00:33Another thing that I found extremely fascinating was how Michael Jordan really would have loved
00:39to play for a seventh championship.
00:41I didn't realize that he wanted to come back with that team and give it another go.
00:46So there's a lot of, you think, what could have been?
00:49What if?
00:50But regardless, we obviously witnessed one of the greatest teams of all time.
00:54The documentary series was just fascinating because we got a peek into Michael Jordan's
00:58life, his intimate life, and what that team went through.
01:01Jill, what were some of your takeaways?
01:03Well, I'm with you.
01:05I'm just shocked at how emotional Michael Jordan was when he said, I can't accept that
01:09we weren't able to go for seven titles.
01:11And this is 22 years later.
01:12So the fact that that couldn't happen to Jerry Reinsdorf, offered Phil to come back, and
01:18Jordan said, it would have taken some convincing, but we could have got Pitt back as well.
01:22The fact that we were all robbed of that is difficult, but all the rawness and the honesty
01:28in this documentary, it was pretty fascinating.
