00:00I'm Melissa Roland with Sports Illustrated and we're here with Jill Painter-Lopez.
00:05Now Ken Griffey Jr. has long been an inspiration for LeBron James.
00:09What did LeBron recently say about him?
00:12Well, Melissa, one of the things he said was using emojis, just posted a bunch of goats
00:17on Twitter.
00:18So he has definitely idolized him and his career.
00:22In an MLB Network special that will be airing this weekend called The Baddest Man in the
00:26Land, in a thing about Ken Griffey Jr., the Hall of Famer and centerfielder, LeBron James
00:32said the way he swung, the way he ran, the way he played the game, he's like he made
00:38baseball cool.
00:39And that for so many kids growing up in this country, to be able to watch somebody crashing
00:44into the centerfield wall, making amazing catches, the home runs, the standing there
00:49after he hit the home runs, basically everything he did looked so easy.
00:55But you know it wasn't.
00:57It just seemed like it came easy to Ken Griffey Jr.
00:58So LeBron James, certainly a part of that documentary that will be airing on MLB Network,
01:04which is pretty cool to see.
01:05We know he's a big baseball fan, football fan, and definitely a very big fan of Ken
