00:00 I'm Jill Painter Lopez for Sports Illustrated here to discuss some of Kyle Kuzma's latest tweets.
00:06 He has been using his platform to discuss the Rayshard Brooks killing.
00:11 Of course, he is a 27-year-old black man who was killed by a white police officer in Atlanta.
00:17 He had fallen asleep in his car in a Wendy's drive-thru.
00:20 He originally was compliant with officers.
00:23 At one point, he ran away with a taser.
00:25 He was shot twice in the back.
00:27 And of course, that death has been ruled a homicide, CNN has reported.
00:32 And the district attorney has called that an unreasonable use of force.
00:35 Now, what Kyle Kuzma said was, he said, given this climate, the fact that some police officers are still doing this,
00:42 he said, it's amazing, given the climate, that this is still happening.
00:46 He said, it just shows you they don't give a damn.
00:48 They want you to see it and they want you to know it.
00:51 Now, certainly strong words coming from Kyle Kuzma, who's looking to help bring an end to police brutality in this country.
00:58 We've seen so many protests.
00:59 We've seen so many Lakers using their voices and platforms to discuss his death, along with George Floyd's as well.
