00:00I'm Melissa Roland with Sports Illustrated and we're here with Jill Painter-Lopez.
00:06Now when you make millions of dollars, you get used to certain kinds of accommodations
00:11and apparently the NBA bubble is falling short of those.
00:15Rajon Rondo, J.R. Smith, they weighed in on their thoughts on the bubble so far.
00:19Jill, catch us up.
00:21Well, Melissa, obviously these are not five star hotels that they're used to, but this
00:26is not normal times.
00:27We're in the COVID-19 pandemic, so obviously things are going to be a little less than
00:31stellar.
00:32But Rondo called in an Instagram story, the hotel room, he said, Motel 6, hun, NBA.
00:40Obviously that didn't sit well with a lot of fans who would normally love to stay in
00:44a place like the Disney Resort, which charges $400 or $500 a night.
00:49Also J.R. Smith was doing an Instagram Live and was showing off the snacks and he was
00:55having a little bit of fun with it.
00:57I know there was some serious tones with it, but I mean, the snacks that were made
01:01available that he was showing, Doritos, Twix, Snickers, Skittles.
01:05I mean, we know NBA players have a sweet tooth.
01:07We know like Lamar Odom had such a sweet tooth.
01:10But what he said was really funny.
01:13He said, you want these guys to run like a Ferrari, but you're gassing them up like you're
01:17a Chrysler.
01:19So he used a few choice expletives in there as well.
01:23So he also was laughing because there was no blanket on his bed.
01:27So obviously these conditions are far less than stellar.
01:29They are not perfect, but they are what they are.
01:32And like people have said, people that are going to make it through the bubble are going
01:35to have to deal with a lot of different things.
01:37But certainly Doritos for LeBron James might not work.
