00:00I'm Jill Painter Lopez for Sports Illustrated here with a talk about Quinn
00:05Cook who is on an Instagram live with Dog Talk 101. Some of his buddies and
00:09former basketball players that he grew up with in Maryland. Now they asked him
00:15who is the toughest player for you to guard and he said well in the playoffs
00:18it was Rajon Rondo. Now when Cook was playing for the Warriors in 2018 when
00:23the Warriors won the NBA title they played the New Orleans Pelicans in the
00:27second round when Rondo was there and he said he knew what you were running
00:30two possessions ahead. He could look two possessions ahead and he said he would
00:34tell you that and of course we've all heard famously how Rondo does that to
00:38try and get in opponent's heads to tell them that he knows what they're running
00:41and Cook said it's been so interesting and awesome for him to be able to get to
00:45know Rondo even more. They both obviously have that connection having gone to Oak
00:49Hill but he said he's just been an open book with me and helping him out and
00:53trying to improve his game and then he was asked overall who's the hardest
00:57player for you to defend and he said that's Russell Westbrook. He's like he
01:01can post me up he goes 94 feet left right the jumpers he said he's a real
01:05handful. So again very cool for Quinn Cook having had had to have guard Rondo
01:11in the playoffs in 2018 and now a teammate of his as those two look to try
01:16and help the Lakers win their first championship since the franchise last
01:20one in 2010.
