LeBron James, Quinn Cook Saddened By Gun Violence Claiming Lives Of Six Children July 4 Weekend

00:11 were caught in gunfire violence and died over the July 4th holiday weekend.

00:16 Now LeBron James posted about how sad it was and prayed for their families and brought

00:22 attention to those cases.

00:24 And Quinn Cook brought attention to one boy in particular, an 11-year-old rising football

00:29 star Devon McNeil, who was killed in some crossfire in Washington, D.C.

00:36 Now Cook, of course, is from Maryland and he tweeted about Devon, a sixth grader who

00:41 had aspirations to play in the NFL.

00:43 And he said he could have been the next Lamar Jackson, he could have been the next Barack

00:47 Obama and he showed, retweeted a picture of him playing quarterback.

00:51 Now certainly these Lakers and other athletes bringing attention to these causes so that

00:57 there can be some justice for these families.
