00:00I wanted to ask you, when you first find out about Breonna Taylor's death and how it happened,
00:08how do you process the way it happened?
00:11Well, I can't process, it's too hard for me to say how to process the way it happened
00:19because I wasn't present.
00:21I can only go off the facts of what happened and I kind of put myself in that household
00:33with them coming into the house, a place where they shouldn't have been in the first place,
00:40and then open firing and killing an innocent woman who had a bright future.
00:47So I think about if it was a sister of mine, if it was my mother, if it was an auntie of
00:53mine, if it was a friend of mine.
00:58And then you think about just the landscape of what we're in right now, where police brutality
01:04is going on, has happened so much over the last, I want to say decade, because now we've
01:12seen it because of camera phones and videos and things of that nature, we know it's always
01:16happened.
01:17You can always take it back to the 90s, obviously with the Rodney King beating, and that was
01:21over a video camera, but because of social media, because of the phones and technology,
01:27everything is so rapid fire and so instant that you're able to see it.
01:32And I say to the last, I don't know if it was the last time I did a press order time
01:34before that, what do we need to see a video of her actually being killed for something
01:39to actually happen with the officers who committed this crime?
01:43And I've spoken to a lot of people in Louisville and they're irate, they're sad, they're angry,
01:50they're disgusted with what's going on in the timetable of what's happening.
01:56So I just feel for her mother, I feel for her family, and anyone that had any association
02:03with her and her community, her coworkers that probably saw her every day and seen her
02:08smile and seen her talk about not only her presence in the world, but her future.
02:13It's a life that's gone too soon out of nonsense and out of just pure act of violence.
