00:00I'm Jill Painter-Lopez for Sports Illustrated, joined by Melissa Roland.
00:10And Melissa, the NBA's season resumption is finally here.
00:14We start off with Lakers Clippers.
00:16What do you think about this matchup and who's in and who's out?
00:19It's interesting because Lakers coach Frank Vogel said he's going to use this game as
00:23a measuring stick of sorts.
00:25Even though the Clippers are going to be very shorthanded, they're missing a couple of key
00:28guys including Lou Williams, but he still said he's really interested to see how his
00:32guys look after a four-month layoff.
00:35LeBron James, we talked to him and he recently said that his body obviously had a big readjustment
00:41period after the season was suspended.
00:43He was just rounding third base, getting ready for the playoff push, and so that was a little
00:47jolting for him.
00:48He said he's ramping things up and he's looking forward to using these eight seeding games
00:52as an opportunity to do so before he turns into playoff LeBron.
00:57Then you have Anthony Davis, who was poked in the right eye during a scrimmage on Saturday.
01:02He missed Monday's scrimmage, set out Tuesday's practice, but he fully participated in Wednesday's
01:08practice.
01:09He said the plan is for him to play on Thursday pending a doctor's approval, so it'll be interesting
01:15to see.
01:16Obviously, this isn't going to be the matchup that we've all been looking forward to between
01:18the top two teams in the Western Conference, but it'll still be interesting to see where
01:23the Lakers, who are number one in the West with a record of 49-14, where they're at against
01:28the Clippers, who are five and a half games behind them.
