00:00 The Clippers are a very interesting team.
00:03 They are clearly the most talented team on paper left in the playoffs right now.
00:08 But somehow they just keep getting in their own way.
00:11 They're the only team to blow multiple double-digit leads, 15-plus point leads in the playoffs.
00:17 And Marcus Morris said what a lot of us are thinking.
00:20 The Clippers tend to rely on their talent more than they do on finishing.
00:23 And those are words exactly from Morris in a press conference.
00:27 He said, "I think it's just taking our foot off the pedal.
00:29 At times, I think we lean on our being as good as we are on paper and not actually just
00:35 finishing the game.
00:36 You know, it's only happened twice, so it's no overreactions.
00:40 Sometimes it's needed just so we can keep reiterating that as we continue to grow."
00:44 And to be honest, he's completely correct.
00:47 The Clippers rely on their talent a lot.
00:49 And what ends up happening is they build these leads and they stop doing what was supposed
00:53 to be done.
00:54 But at the same time, as much as the players want to put this on themselves, a lot of this
00:59 goes on Doc Rivers because the rotations he's been putting up are clearly an issue.
01:04 Montrezl Harrell is clearly having an issue against Jokic.
01:07 He should never be matched up on the floor with him.
01:10 Lou Williams shouldn't be on the floor when defense is an issue.
01:13 So on one end, you can blame the players.
01:15 On another end, you can blame the situation that the players are in because they're not
01:19 being put in winning situations.
