00:00Birmingham City now they're back in the relegation zone as we record this
00:04the next games against Huddersfield Norwich that the final two I mean
00:08biggest games in their recent history it has to be said these are these are so crucial and you
00:13probably can't express enough how important they are to you know where the club go in in the next
00:19you know in the recent future. Yeah they've been in lots of relegation battles over recent years
00:24Blues they can't seem to get away from them apart from last year under John Eustis so they've
00:28definitely had similar experiences and they've had some very close calls and stayed up every
00:32single time and the last seven or eight years or so but this one feels all the more important
00:37because of Tom Wagner coming in and the new ownership and the investment that's going to
00:41be planned in the summer there's a massive plan to overhaul the squad and to spend lots of money
00:45now they can do so the financial fair play and to build this as a consistent championship outfit
00:51to get near the top of the table if they're relegated well that can't happen and that
00:55could be pushed back two three four five years depending on how long it takes to get back
00:59promoted so these two matches are absolutely huge for the football club as a whole no bottle really
01:06at all the way at Rotherham United hardly any chances created one goal was scored but it was
01:10disallowed as a bit tricky to see why but it was disallowed they had to be better they should have
01:17absolutely thrashed Rotherham or at least at very least get a one or two nil victory they're already
01:22down they're relegated I know they had a new manager but Blues they need to be fighting for
01:26their lives and they didn't seem to be away at Rotherham another away game at Huddersfield is
01:31even bigger because they are also in the fight with Blues to stay up and Huddersfield must win
01:37really has to be said if they want to stay up so they're going to be fighting and away from home as
01:42well I think Blues have been terrible this season so they're probably going to have a little bit of
01:46worry just kind of mentally and psychologically going into this I need to get rid of that entirely
01:51look at it as if they've got their home fans there with a fantastic away Blues support
01:55and get the three points anything else is unacceptable really it's not been great it's
02:00been a whirlwind it's you know started quite well and then you know Rooney came in and a change of
02:05manager again from that in terms of the players individually who's been a consistent performer
02:11who do you think will be candidates for their player of the season award you mentioned Rooney
02:17there it feels like a dream that even happened it's just it's crazy there's been four five six
02:23managers who include caretakers interims and it's been crazy and but there have been some players
02:27who've stepped up amongst it Jay Stansfield for me has been the main one on loan from Fulham
02:32scoring so many goals at key moments for Blues and he could have scored even more really if his
02:36finishing was better in the middle part of the season but he used the criticism there to step up
02:40and getting goals as well as against Plymouth as well was quite good fun for him as an extra city
02:46boy and we saw the start of the season against Plymouth an absolute screamer on the half volley
02:52into the top corner roof the net that kind of set the tone for him at St Andrews so I think
02:56he's been brilliant and he is my man of the season.
