00:00But I gotta tell you, Warren, the most fascinating thing that I read this week about the draft
00:07was this column from a sportsbook operator, I believe it was Circa in Las Vegas, saying
00:13that like none of the operators look forward to the NFL draft.
00:17And I wonder if that's because everything is based on an opinion and not an outcome
00:22of a game.
00:23Are there positions to take in the NFL draft?
00:26Because certainly you're guessing how someone feels about a specific player as opposed to
00:32the outcome.
00:33How do you approach this whole thing?
00:35Well, this is also part of the sportsbooks, just always crying.
00:39If they don't absolutely kill the public and kill everybody, then they're just going to
00:42cry and pull out their hair.
00:44So I take that with a grain of salt.
00:46But it is a challenge for them because so much of it is based upon information.
00:51And that's what they hate more than anything.
00:53And they've got the Lions playing the Packers.
00:56They can model it.
00:57They'll have better insight.
00:58They probably have better injury info than most people out there.
01:01But when it comes to the draft, and this is just information about what a team is going
01:06to do behind the scenes, and somebody might have a little bit of a better idea.
01:09And so that could get into the markets.
01:10And these sportsbooks, they don't have as many ears out there.
01:14So the public maybe is able to get a little bit more intel, specifically the sharp bettors
01:18or the betting groups that really dig into all the different media reports, the buzzes,
01:24the intel, and then some of their own connections.
01:27So it puts the books at a slight disadvantage.
01:29But this is a funny part.
01:31If you really hate it that much, then you don't have to put out so many options.
01:34I mean, we go to all the different books and there's tons and myriads of options out there
01:39to bet.
01:40And that's why it is a very profitable time for pro bettors and for sharp bettors and
01:44for syndicate betting groups.
01:47It's a great time to be betting football is at the NFL draft because there's so many
01:52different options.
01:53It's hard for books to price these things.
