Lawyer looks to IP roots to protect her people's rights

Nonette Royo, managing director of Tenure Facility, discusses her role in providing funds that can help protect the land and forest rights of indigenous peoples in parts of the world. Royo, a Filipino lawyer and IP whose father was a healer in Camiguin Island, said in an exclusive interview with The Manila Times on the sidelines of the AVPN Global Conference in Abu Dhabi that her roots helped her connect with the values of IPs and their interdependence with nature.
