California reopening sports, how are they doing it?
Transcript
00:00 California Governor Newsom has released a plan for the state to gradually open up and allow sports to return.
00:07 He took to Twitter to reveal his four stages for easing his stay-at-home orders amid COVID-19.
00:14 Currently, California is in stage one, which involves staying at home and building out coronavirus testing,
00:20 personal protective equipment, and hospital capacity.
00:23 Stage two consists of opening lower-risk workplaces, including retail and manufacturing.
00:29 Stage three will gradually open higher-risk environments, including sports events without fans.
00:35 And as a part of stage four, California will reopen its highest environments entirely,
00:42 but only once "therapeutics" have been developed.
00:46 This stage would include conducting live sports with fans.
00:51 Although there is light at the end of the tunnel, for now,
00:54 there is no tentative date for when sporting events will resume.
