00:00What an incredible moment, still pretty surreal for me.
00:04I do want to thank President Price, Coach K, Coach Cutcliffe,
00:09just their impact on me, not only through the process, but
00:13relationships I've had with both Coach K and Coach Cutcliffe over the years.
00:18Couldn't be walking into a situation any better as a first time head coach to have
00:23those two men as mentors, and so I'm really looking forward to learn from them.
00:29And enjoy being a part of the Duke Athletics Department.
00:34This is a dream come true for me.
00:35I've wanted to be a coach since I was a kid.
00:38And I guess you would say I took kind of a circuitous route to get there.
00:43But I'm here now and so excited about the opportunity
00:48to help shape young women, to help grow their games,
00:53to help grow their personalities, help them mature throughout their college years.
00:59And when I look at Duke University and how special a place that it is,
01:05the type of player and person that we have in our program,
01:10that we want to have in our program, that we've had in our program.
01:13I think that's really important.
01:14This game has always been about players.
01:19Certainly if you ask any player, they'll tell you that it is.
01:21But even as a coach, it is, it's about the players.
01:24And so I've tried to spend my first few hours or
01:28a couple days reaching out to our players, to past players as well.
01:36And then to some hopefully future players.
01:39So we're really excited, and I just can't wait.
01:44Mom, I saw you, you wore Duke blue.
01:46My mom's on the call, everybody.
01:48Here's my mom, she got the right color, so that's pretty exciting.
01:51So I didn't have any blue in the bubble, so I did my best.
