Duke's Chase Brice on rivalry games

This will be Chase Brice's first North Carolina game as a member of Duke's team, but Brice is familiar with rivalry games. He talks about the importance of beating your in-state foe.

00:03 special teams is a huge component of football.
00:07 And blocking two punts, getting the ball down inside the 20 or
00:12 the 10 and things like that, that helps.
00:16 It helps put the ball in the end zone and that's the goal.
00:20 But when we do get the ball on the 20, 25 backed up,
00:24 we need to do, I think we need to do a better job sustaining drives.
00:31 I didn't like our third down efficiency tonight.
00:34 I thought it could have been a lot better, but
00:37 definitely the short drives helped.
00:39 Yeah, I mean, winning is not easy in anything, especially college football.
00:45 And it doesn't matter who you're playing, winning is not an easy thing to do.
00:48 And so to go out there and win tonight,
00:51 everybody's smiling, happy, we got to see a lot of guys go in and
00:57 play, get opportunity that have been working very hard.
01:01 In the weight room, scout team, going both ways, honestly, scout team.
01:07 And also, they might be backing up somebody because of depth issues.
01:12 So that was really awesome to see and
01:16 definitely just a joy in the locker room, a joy on everybody's face.
01:20 So it was good to see.
01:22 Yeah, I've been fortunate enough to be a part of some good rivalries.
01:26 And when I was younger, I was a Georgia fan.
01:28 So I didn't like Florida, I didn't like Georgia Tech.
01:31 When I was at Clemson, you didn't like South Carolina.
01:33 And now at Duke, you don't like North Carolina.
01:36 You don't like anybody in the state, honestly.
01:38 So I'm excited for next week.
01:42 I know the guys are, we're eager to get in the film room and get prepared on them.
01:47 And goal is to have another great week of practice and
01:52 get ready to go for Saturday.
